Random observation: this trip series I've seen the longest of long grain rice ever. It's amazing that rice is historically a staple for so many people, yet rice is so varied across the world.
Pakistan grows the best rice in the world. it's called Basmati
Its Basmati rice grown in Pakistan. Short size rice are not liked by people
There are like over 10.000 different rice sorts in the world, I agree it's pretty amazing.
The city I'm living in (Hafizabad) produces the best rice in the whole world, local people doesn't even like to taste other varieties.

So let's get one thing clear here guys...Pakistan is a developing country and the majority of my people try hard to make ends meet. UA-cam culture is not at all common here especially the streets that Mike visits to try the food. Malls and well developed locations are a different scene all together but even there you wont see anyone with a whole camera crew talking animatedly about food. If he is in the streets he is definitely gonna get looks..and the people staring aren't a threat at all. It's just pure excitement about what's going on.
I just like that the go to for all the shop keepers and cooks is an awkward thumbs up that gave me a good laugh cause I know that's exactly what I would've done in this scenario.

@@georgemasson3429 ever since carrying the nuclear tests in 1998 Pakistan faced sanctions by the west. After 9/11 the country faced further isolation and paid a huge price for siding with America. That along with corruption by the elite crippled the economy. Pakistan was not able to develope.

They are not all Pathans. They are mix of Hindkos, Chitralis, Pathans, hazaras etc
