Thankls Scoltt,!! When I went to VA in 2010 for tests, one of the tests was for hearing ! I was in the sound booth and they did the beeping noises and After that the Dr said something and I didn`t know what he said so I never answered him, He came to the booth and toId me to guess !

OK so when you are doing the hearing test (called Speech Reception Threshold) you NEED to guess. We know how you might guess...it's how the training goes. Actually works really well when you do that.

When I went to get my eyes done in 2019 for caterats, couIdn`t understand what the Dr was saying, Had to have my wife come into the room and Dr toId her and she expIained it to me Iaterl! I went to get my hearing test and I'm ay 40% hearing. They want to do an eushtaiuse dilation and tubes put in. And I have loud tinnitus. I don't have hearing aids. Any idea what to do

So what I am hearing is that you have Eustachian Tube dysfunction and you had Tubes put in your eardrum. That's called a middle ear infection. You don't have 40% hearing loss but a moderate one. If they did it right with the anti-biotics, your hearing should return in a few weeks. The Tinnitus too...and you wouldn't need hearing aids. After your hearing returns, get it tested again to see if it recovered.
