You sir, are EXACTLY whom I needed to see with the Long Ride Panniers and the full size Duffle bag. Because I wanted to find out how it would look on my Moto Guzzi. It looks perfect, not cumbersome at all. Thank you for filming this, I really appreciate it!
My friend with the Super Meteor bought the Super Patriot bags, while we were out camping we swapped the Racers for the Sp's and they fit on the GT as well with the S&S pipes.
Love your channel. Great video and review. Down to earth practical advice. I have a Triumph T100 and recently a RE Classic 350. I have the same bags on my T100. But, I ended up going with the version of these bags that attach with leather straps rather than the clips. The reason I went that route was that I wanted to be able adjust the position of the bags up and down and use them on any new bikes I might get. As it happens, soon thereafter, I picked up my Classic 350 and thankfully the two bags I use on my T100 fit just fine the bike with a height adjustment. You are right though, if you are doing a lot of camping and touring etc. the convenience of the click on attachment is hard to beat. I agree, these are excellent quality bags. Expensive? You bet. Worth it? absolutely. The one question in my mind now, at age 73, is whether to sell the T100 and pick up an Interceptor. We shall see. I do like the T-100. Sub'd. Small donation sent.
Thank you very much! A friend of mine was recently looking for a luggage set and I told him to just bite the bullet and buy a set of these.... he tried to go a different route but ended up buying and returning multiple sets. He finally bought the LongRide set I told him to get in the first place, now is happy. I'll probably do a video showing his setup in a future video.
This was very interesting. Thanks for showing us your set-up. The bags look great, and give plenty of carrying capacity. I honestly didn’t think much of the Continental GT until you put this luggage on. That’s a sweet machine you have there. I’m about to take delivery of a new bike. I’ll look into the Trip Machine offerings. I was unaware of them until I saw this episode, so thanks for that. Happy Trails
The GT is a bit of a misunderstood bike in RE's lineup. It is very sporty compared to the rest of their lineup which gives the impression that it's too aggressive to be comfortable or useable... but when compared to other sporty or cafe type bikes its much more relaxed and friendly than those. Setting the bike up like this with the luggage was the plan all along, just had to save up the money to get it all done. I looked at TripMachine but I couldn't verify how good there bags were for long term heavy use, they appear to be good "once in a while" bags but for touring type duty I just couldn't pull the trigger on them. I would like to try their seat though.
Thanks for the great review. I've been looking at them as well but's it's the sticker shock that's been holding me back from purchasing them. Great video's as always, you've helped me with some of my purchase decisions especially on the Stadium Mirrors for my 2022 Mr. Clean.
Im not trying to influence people to buy these or anything, just sharing my setup. I had to work a lot of overtime to afford them as I determined they were the bags to get... but that price tag is definitely out there.
Looks good, but always wonder how waterproof or water resistant they’ll be. I’d go the El Cheapo route and just throw a set of TourMaster tri-bags across the seat and declare victory.
Nice set up. Quality gear that’s looks great on the bike and should last you for years too. I take a passenger, so no good for me. Luved the video, thanx for sharing. Ride safe. Neil from England.
The setup is Sharp VooDoo with the pannier's. I can not get over how much they charge for these after-market parts. Ian in Bulgaria installed practically the same setup on his bullet 500, and that look is stunning also. I am curious about air drag due to the bags?
Yeah the cost is pretty off putting, I had to work extra and save up to get them. I don't think drag is an issue with the Racer bags as they're pretty slim and don't stick out much past my legs.
Love the bags. I always had bags on my Hondas. But, I really like my Meteor 350 without the bags. But I wouldn't mind a set up like this where by I could pop the bags on and off. I checked their website while watching this. This set up may be a little too pricey for me.
I hear you, I tried to stress in the video about the cost of these things. I had to work over time and save up for months to be able to get them. They were no impulse buy.
Great video Voodoo! Thinking of getting those rack rails myself to use with my current panniers. Any idea of the vertical distance from top tube to the exhaust? Worried about clearance.
I measure 10.5 inches from the highest point on my pipes to the top of the rail. My pipes aren't stock though. My bags are 12 inches tall but 8.5 inches from where the top rail fits in the bracket to the bottom of the bag. Hope that helps.
Why have you decided to get these bags with all of the additional accessories that don't come with it compared to other alternatives such as Trip Machine? Their bags are like a third of the price out of full learther over canvas.
I looked at TipMachine pretty hard but in the end I just felt like they were going to be a $700-$800 gamble as I couldn't get straight answers to questions I had about them. Im going to try out their seat once I have the $ to pick one up. The only accessories I have for these bags are what came with them, I didn't buy any optional pieces.
A better photo of just the mounts would help people decide if it's for them. I bought S W Motech Legend mounts and bags for my GT because of the look with and without the bags. I think yours hold more and are lockable. I won't be camping with the GT- only moteling- less to pack. So many good choices. Pick what works for your adventures. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
Hello mate from England. I noticed your quadlock, could you let me know what mounting you’re using as I’ve had no end of trouble trying to get a mounting for this bike. Cheers. Tom.

Like the luggage, bike looks and sounds great. Lovely countryside. Thank you 👍
Thanks!😀
Not sure how I didn't notice this, my bad. Thank you very much!!!
Luggage looks very good it makes bike even look better.
You did very well with that luggage!
Thanks, it took a lot of overtime for me to get them.
@@UncleVoodoo But now that they're on there, it was worth it.
Nice, glad to see the racer bag fit with the exhaust. Nice look. Even though all there bags look great. the quick release is very convincing.

P.S. I might buy a set of the SB (non quick release) bags for the next bike I'm looking to purchase. They are worthy as well.
They should sponsor you, good job Uncle.
What's the deal with Sasquatche at 5:10?
Good looking functional luggage set up!👍

It rained on the first outing with them and they repelled all water. They do need the wax maintained to keep the waterproofing.

Yes, I watched till the end. Why only 3?

Were you in Norfolk in the last couple days? I think i saw ya!
I have the stock bags and I’ve been leaving them on the bike. They look fine, but functionality is questionable.

New Uncle Voodoo video. Lets goooooo
Nice set up. I'd be curious if the mounts can be purchased without the bags so one could get maybe surplus bags to use.
Yes they can, $65 for one or $120 for a pair
@@UncleVoodoo very interesting! Now if I get a RE GT 650 or the INT650 I'll have options. Thanks for the info!

Is the seat much better than what the bike comes with?
Honestly no, I'd say it's a little better but not by much. Im going to try and get ahold of the TripMachine seat and see if its better.
Good stuff, you still doing door dash? Haven't seen one of those vids for a while.
Yeah Im still doing it, those videos just weren't popular so I haven't been doing them.
Nice video Uncle; from OnlyRoyalEnfieldFans
Thanks!
Voodoo watch out for bigfoot doodoo behind that tree 😂
I stepped in some crap earlier, I just assumed there was a large chipmunk out there or something.

it's called the Brake/Clutch Mount on their website. I too was scratching my head trying to figure out a phone mount until I found this one. Cheers.
I see him 👀👀
I think that was a chipmunk :)

5:08 I saw what you did there.
That thing seems to always show up when Im not looking :)
Either jaboo has grown alot of hair , or that was Bigfoot in the background .
Jobu did get a perm a few weeks ago, it was probably him :)
Looks awesome, but so expensive. :c
I hear ya, I had to hold my nose and bite the bullet to buys these.
