Hard to imagine how it would be possible to deliver a more thoroughly comprehensive, intimate real-time (i.e. free of revisionist alterations) presentation of how players work towards their decisions - particularly helpful in the viewer evaluations of a player's approach is comparing how their reading on an opponent lines up with that opponent explains himself. All in all, a very effective execution of a brilliant concept. Bravo.

@@shikeridoo I couldn't agree more. We've seen plenty of players like him before, and variance catches up with them. That said, at least he didn't all-in 4bet a 41x 3bet w/ KQo for 181 big blinds.

For sure they are almost playing a different game because of how many levels they are thinking on.. The 2/5 game at my casino does not look like this therefore you SHOULD NOT play like this.. I’m appreciative of what they are trying to do don’t get me wrong it will come in handy if you have a sicko on your table but this does not help the average grinder.. That being said I actually enjoyed the video I’m not hating just telling the truth......
This is by far the BEST poker content out on youtube -- baffles me why this doesn't have 50,000 views at least. Just a 2-5, 5-10 reg player but watching and listening to these videos added a whole new dimension to my game! Thanks you guys!

I can already see some 1/2 reg, opening 20x, calling a 3-bet and then check-shoving with AJ without connecting at all, running into obvious aces and complaining how his opponent is terrible :D
Berkey has a way of articulating things I knew to do instinctively at a table. He also has a way of articulating the ways to stop himself from doing things I did at the table. That's where the true value lies in my opinion.

These guys are using 4D chess logic to make terrible plays. Most people just, y’know, don’t go all in on KQo and lose an entire stack based on a vague hunch. They give people credit for reraises and see the flop before making crazy decisions. I mean, tournaments can be different, sometimes the best decision is to just shove and get that pair of 6s to fold, but this is a cash game, whys blow off stacks like that?

Serious question,, ive played alot longer than most of my live opponents,, i think in these terms but should i be careful thinking and acting along these lines at 1/2 2/5?
Thinking strategically is simply estimating your opponent's strategy based on the available information and then attempting to counter by following the incentive of your hand. So in short, you can apply this in any game

Great content, always respected Matt's play and knowledge over the years, and I certainly appreciate poker pro's providing free educational info for rec players like myself. But one thing I can't understand...why? Isn't the poker field 100x harder than it was a decade ago due to all this free online information?

I would love to see, and hear a regular player. I think that could be helpful then I could hear someone say the things I think and thus I could change my game play.
I'd push back against that a bit. Knowing how someone on your level thinks will only allow you to maneuver through those specific thoughts. The take away is to listen to anyone's thoughts (top tier or otherwise) and compare them to equilibrium strategy, finding exploits and certainties in your application
I love the concept but the hand analysis seems like a joke.
Is that not the ultimate goal of exploitative play? To set up a profitable dynamic in whatever situation you find yourself?
After watching the last hand, I've decided to quit poker. No matter how long I study, I will never be anywhere near that level.
This is actually a brilliant concept but that last hand where NH just lights 4k on fire and tries to justify it as some super high level play flushed all the credibility of these guys down the toilet.

This is great for when you’re playing against sickos but doesn’t help you’re local 2/5 grinder that goes to the local casino.. I learned you have you have to level down you can’t think on that many levels because you only wanna think one level ahead of the average casino fish or you will level yourself.. Keep the play simple play right you will have results..

If this video is any indication It seems like live poker has come full circle. Pre poker boom the games were filled with low IQ pros like Amarillo Slim now it's filled with younger low IQ pros trying to mimick smart players like galfond and sauce.

Are these games for real money? Also, can someone please explain how other players cannot hear when the other players is talking about his thoughts? Also, not that anybody is lip reading, certainly is possible? Maybe these are silly questions, but to me, I am unclear on this.
Yes it's real money. We have music on and up when action is not on us. We police the lip reading. No one is attempting to gain an unfair edge
