Nobody is going to challenge John's four decade career any time soon. Probably not within my lifetime. John is the clear greatest of all time, but the king of current active armwrestling is Devon without a doubt
I think Levan still has to be the favorite going into that match...however in saying that Devon has leveled way up since their last match and Levan was exposed by Ermes that he can be drained out and Devon will study that like his life depended on it...if Devon stays healthy during his training for an April match I see Devon taking the win this time...yes Levan has all that time to train also but he's coming back from an injury Devon has competed an incredible 13 times this year add the stem cell treatments and 5 months of training specific for Levan and it will be interesting...I see Devon eventually bleeding Levan out and taking the win this time.
I agree. When Devon beat Ermes the way he did I knew then Levan was in Trouble. Devon beat Ermes more convincingly than Levan did. I think Michael is wrong about this and is blinded by his pride. Michael is one of my favorite but Devon is a completely different man right now.

I can't for the life of me understand people that make fun of him, you aren't going to find someone more passionate about armwrestling. And now with the Monster Factory he's actively contributing to the careers of dozens of pullers. How anyone can see MT as anything but an asset to this sport is beyond me.

I’m so glad you said Devon is super strong. Tired of seeing he wins only by endurance, but anyone who knows anything knows you can only have endurance if you have the strength to be there. And this is the only match lately where he really needed endurance. He was cracking wrist at will before that. But excited to see your comeback brother!! 👍🏻
Well, Engine said the number of round at EvW will be increasing to match the KoT best of 7, as part of an effort to unify title matches the two competitions, so Devon and Levan will most likely pull best of 7...

The ermes Vitaly match was the most exciting to me. Ermes has won me over, hes a true warrior, he will do whatever it takes.

Devon and Levan rematch is going to be the biggest match in a decade or more. I'm pretty sure Devon has a much different plan since he's already arm wrestled him whereas I think Levan isn't going to change anything. If he doesn't change, I think Devon has been planning his lane for some time and going to have a much better chance this time around. I also know that Levan showing his stamina issues against Ermes definitely gave Devon that confidence. Levan would probably give himself a heart attack though before letting Devon pin him.
Nice analysis vid MMT! I love watching Devon and I'm a fan, but Levan....man, that's a tall mountain to climb. Unless Devon is leveled up a good bit, (and I know he has leveled up - I'm just not sure if it's enough) Levan will press through it before he blows out his endurance. If Devon can get him stopped, all bets are off at that point - Devon is a vampire!
I want to see vitaly/Jerry/genadi/cyplenkov go at it and see who gets what rank from these four

I was actually very surprised when I heard that the Levan Devon match was at East vs West. I figured Devon would want it at King of the Table. But if Devon is somehow able to beat Levan at East vs West then it would be even sweeter I believe.

I think if Devon is able to concern Levan enough, he could manage to Stop him maybe long enough to bleed him out. What we learned from the past is never to underestimate Mr. Larratt. Im sure he will give us the Best Show ever!
I agree with you, Levan is just another level. I went back and watched their match and Levan was never even slowed down by Devon. Maybe half inch from the pad in round one but thats it. Levan let Devon have whatever he wanted in round 4 or 5 and he just played with Devon. I know Devon got injured and that could have skewed the results a bit but it really looked like Levan had almost zero resistance from Devon. The gap in strength was massive. I think levan will pin him so fast that Devon wont have the chance to bleed him out. I hope I'm wrong.
Devon's bicep was torn in the first second of round 2. Levon would've almost certainly still won, but you cannot derive any accurate judgements about their relative strength and endurance from the subsequent rounds.
dont forget they are unifying rule sets bewteen the two and and evw will be using 7 round format and big pads

Engin said the rules are changing to 7 rounds at EvW. Not sure if that will be implicated before or after this match. If it's 7 rounds Devon has a great chance. If it's 5 rounds Devons chance are cut in half

Later this same day, Engin said that he's changing the rules to be the first to win 4 rounds, instead of 3, to be in-line with KotT. Also KotT is changing the pad size to be in-line with EvW.

Ermes could pull vitaly 10 times with a different result. I agree with you there. That was a fantastic match. I too had vitaly slight favourite up until the last week, then something about ermes made me lean to him

Due to Levan’s overwhelming side pressure and his 400lbs worth of top end strength! Devon needs to build up his larger muscle foundational strength, and gain more quality weight in order to close the strength gap just enough to have a better chance at getting stops. IMO

Devon's pronation deadlift trademark is hard to beat and has been tested. If it didn't work then why many including pros have applied? His form allows to do a perfect angle for upper arm to be perpendicular just to develop the pronation to the max without relying on other support points. Many surprised given his weight loss before match and judged it to be disadvantage but the result proved. He pulled and dominated many body building pros in the world with massive muscle and weight, height. With super heavy weight like Monster MT, any angles and distances to practice the pronation are accounted into the study plus today's computational models of muscles brought into athletes' career, in all sports. How can we tell in just a pull at the table all the super heavy weight armwrestlers have to dynamically and timely switch in just seconds to different techniques hard trained in months, in years to gain the domination? It's so easy to keyboard wrestling for us based on different perceptions then to put in the realistic practice. Every pros have their own styles and strength and the fans keep having non-stop excitements but to be able to understand is a different aspect.
I argued with Devon’s fan that larratt had to resort to the kings move. They argued it wasn’t a kings move lol😊

If Devon actually beats Levan, he should be taking the GOAT status from Brzenk in anyones book, hands down. Devon has no business hanging with someone that much heavier and younger. Levan can not be compared to the big dudes John pulled during his prime either. Those were truckers and farmers. Levan is a professional, full-time armwrestling machine. It's a different dimension.

Well i think it's a mismatch, way too early for Levan to face such a dominant force right now. I believe you are right about the kings move being the way and i will go as far to say he will stop him even from round 1.

Let’s not forget that Levan was sick and battling a fever when he had the match with Devon at KOTT… it may be that Levan wasn’t even quite at 100% back when he destroyed Devon. As great as Devon is, in a 5 round format Levan may just be too much. Also I think it says something about Levan’s level considering even that practice match with Devon on the left hand. Devon has been fairly active on his left, having dominant wins in several heavy weight matches on the “party arm” throughout this year… BUT when Devon & Levan had that practice pull on the left, Levan still crushed Devon.. I know its the left arm, but definitely shows the crazy overall dominance in strength Levan has on tap, when Levan can just come off the couch with his injury arm, that he hasn’t competed with in the last couple years or so and still dominate Devon whose been crushing other high level heavy weights.
Engin just announced that all title matches for EvW will be changing to best of 7. So the Devon/Levan match will be a war. If Devon gets a stop on Levan, I believe Levan will lose his crown. 4-3 Devon!

idk if Devon has ever ran a cycle before (real stuff not stem cells), but I think he would def need to run some gear to beat Levan. This is going to be the most exciting rematch.
I watched back Devon v Genadi, and I tell ya, If the ref (which that ref always does to Devon) screw him over on that first round (Devon by no means had his elbow off the pad) Devon would’ve won 3-0. Just dumb how people think Genadi actually did something v Devon lmao Devon was pissed about the first round the entire time, I don’t blame him, should’ve been 3-0 cause Devon had the strength v him, had the side pressure etc. That first round completely destroyed his moral and you could tell. I still say he’s undefeated this year, idgaf what anybody says. Genadi had the 1 ref that always fucks over devon. Think about it, Devon I don’t think has had em since and he’s won, why? cause it’s been fair

Yeah but we saw with chaffee who pulled Devon similarly and went for the press, that he didn’t come anywhere close to pinning him and sacrificed his hand and wrist for the rest of the match. Not as simple as just having a flop

Devon almost got the stop round 1 against peak Levan the last time they pulled. Devon is WAY stronger now. He said he's 5% to 10% stronger now than he was for Ermes. I think there's almost zero chance that he doesn't get a stop in the first three rounds. I just don't know if the bicep will hold. Once they tear, then they are usually easier to tear from then on.

Devon hand and arm wont be able to stand the pressue which levan will give its not just about strength of hand its about size of the hand as well levan hand literally engulfed devons hand in there previous match and devons main weapon is hand control levan is devon kryptonite style and strength wise if he would ahve different style or strengths then devon had chance but not right now 🙏

I think devon is going to beat everyone just like levan, but levan is still abother level. If levan was injured and out the game for 1 year abd devon pulls 10 matches again and beats all his prs non stop then id maybe say 60/40 to Levan. But right now i still think its 80/20

Frank Lamparelli, idk man his hand is insane, I think Michael will do better for sure stylisticly against Lamparelli. But Lamparellis hits really hard and heavy. A match against both Mask or Lamperelli would be great imo
