People only upgrade to hk because they just want better sound not knowing there's better options out there. Kind of like people who buy soundbars over a proper av set up

Some guy mentioned a few days ago on a Honda civic Bose system...that Pioneer is still the best...REALLY...??? My first introduction to to real hifi was...Rotella cd player, Pioneer A400 amp, NAD 8225 speakers...the moment I stepped into my car playing the same cd ...I realized I need to upgrade...Pioneer is OK...I have Morel in my car with helix amps

I've just had my scirocco tsi system upgraded, got some Focal is165vw components, an alpine ilx 705D on them which powers them really well, and my previous system subwoofer in custom ported box which is a hertz hx300D running on a hertz hdp1 amp at 2ohms - sounds very nice :)

Would love to see how the Audison's compare w/ the Earthquake SWS8xi's... Quite a huge difference in price, that's for sure.

The only sound system you should be upgrading on an M2 is the exhaust.

The Burmeister system is garbage. I have it in my 2019 A Class. My 20 year old Porsche system sounds much better.

you didn’t really answer this (video title) unfortunately…if the 400 or 700 pound extra coming from Hi-Fi or Basis BMW system is worth this (little) money.
For sure a 5000 pound aftermarket package is even better, but for only 400 or 700pound extra I‘d say with the HK you get a lot improvement over base stereo for your money.
Probably price value is better than any aftermarket upgrade, right ?
You seriously love to comment on this video 😂 Yes it is better than base obviously but the question is, the 700 is wasted where as an aftermarket it investment and it sound better obviously. If you are happy with HK then that’s cool and all the best, lots of people don’t like it, hence why we have upgraded it again and again over the years 🙏

@@vollcare4076 You have to listen to it to understand and compare, HK is better than base obviously, level 4 is miles better than HK. Everyone’s opinion is different but no one has ever said HK is better than when we have upgraded it
@@CambridgeCarAudio for sure, I believe you guys if you get paid 3000-5000 to improve stock HK it will sound massively better: that’s what you can expect for such huge amount of money.
But I think that 400 or 700 spend on HK over base stereo has better values for money than spend 5000 pound of you Upgrade the HK by an aftermarket system.
So they 400 or 700 is definitely not ‚wasted‘.

I have HK and I’m disappointed in the bass response. But unfortunately I can’t do anything cause it’s under a motorplan.

Is the Audison software available to the end user or just authorized dealer/installers? I already have two new Audison 5.1k amps. Can I use it in a 2024 M340i with a bit one dsp? Or is it just easier to use a Forza Audison amp with the integrated dsp as far as oem integration? I have the HK sound system in my M340i. I’m having a custom carbon fiber sub enclosure made to fit on the driver’s side trunk cubby for a JL Audio 10W6 dual 4 ohm voice coil.

decided to upgrade my sound a bit. adding an audison 10 slim box in the boot. Would changing the factory component speakers make much difference to the overall loudness? my fear is the sub drowing out the top end, and ive never really been happy with the HK standards. thanks

Yes I know the Aufison had been great choise the last years, but this brand new Helix is probably significantly better in deep base

@vollcare4076 This was Level 4 with the 10’’ Prima sub upgrade - if you have HK, you need level 4 upwards, if you have the base system, you can have any of them

On my BMW M340i with the Harmon Kardon system I prefer to use a custom fiberglass sub enclosure built into the left cubby area of the trunk. I’m considering an Image Dynamics IDMAX 10” for the small required air space of .75 cu ft in a sealed enclosure. What Forza amp/dsp will integrate into the idrive 8 system. Any way to integrate the Audison 5.1k with a bit one HD?

Nope, one step lower but they make direct BMW fitment options

@@CambridgeCarAudio Why do you say that? The installer is quoting £330 for a pair of Prima 165 and some sound deadening to the doors. Ive asked if it will be Prima 165'P' and if so I will go for it but hes gone quiet.
@@darrenlomax1283 because we see so many times where the install is crap and the sound is also. A product is only as good as the person installing. If the foundations aren’t set then upgrading is pointless. For a front speaker upgrade with that set it should be around £900
