I really like the smaller rim, bigger tire look
a tip, always open a window when exiting a truck with the keys in it, you will have access to get back in.
Lol
You must be a tow truck driver.
@@herculesinwyoming no just had it happen to me a couple of times but luckily, I had a spare key to get in.
You really scored getting Shannon's help, he is going to teach you skill that will bring you to another level
!
I totally agree
@@TruckMaster I locked myself out of my 06 and was able to cut the plastic of the inner door handle to unlock it. I did already have an extra handle kit though.
The bullet style wheels look sweet on that. I've never had my 04 Silverado auto lock on me
I truly will never understand the skateboard wheels on rubberband tires
33’s on 22 rims is the lowest I’d go… it’s a look thing so there will be folks not into it … as well as others who like it
18.5 is as big as I will go.
facts
24s are gonna look awesome on there man
I love ur Sunkist truck alot buddy keep it up
Thanks Carl
Need a ranch hand brush guard
Ranch hand front bumper replacement full
My ranch hand is great it’s got the face lift you need to clear and looks dang good
Power folding mirrors were a factory option my 04 LT has it. You put the mirror selector switch in neutral possession and the the main switch lights up a folding mirror logo in middle of main mirror adjusting switch. Then you just press right on it to fold in and press again to fold out. It's a handy feature to have also has the turn signals in the mirror. Kinda surprised you didn't go with aftermarket full steel bumpers front and rear. Definitely more rugged better looking and a time saver all the time to fit and prep and then clear the front wheels. Truck is looking good, but I think having a bit more tire then rim looks better and rides better but it's your truck.
Needs 4" front fiberglass fenders. And white and blue rims .
Great video the ending had me cracking up over here though😂😂😂😂
That's awesome R&L CARRIERS deliver them my dad worked at that company for 36 years
Put a half ton bumper cap on it and raise the bumper 2-2.5"
“ To be realistic, I never thought it would go this far”…… lol …. Told you bruh….😎
That is why I keep the fob in my pocket at all times. Separate from the keys. Took getting locked out three times to learn to keep the fob in my pocket. I'm a slow learner.
I use a yellow 20v flax circular saw with diablo steel demon cutting blade on my LLY trucks front bumpers and make really straight cuts. Through both plastic and metal.
Look up Front Red Rock Bumper. Looks awesome and No trimming even with 35s and just a 5” lift. Mines a 08 GMC 1500 with no hitting in the front bumper edges at all.
Awesome video
Looking good! Now. You are gonna 🪓 the bumper up😁
The wheels look amazing great choice
Josh, will you be in Van Wert, OH the weekend of June 15th this year????
I can’t make it this year
Just do the 33s and leave it alone. Looks fantastic that way.
I have the same mirrors on my 03 and all that tapping to fold them ain’t necessary 🤣 just hold the button to the left and they’ll fold out, then hold it to the right and they’ll fold in
Nothing ruins a nice diesel truck like big ghetto wheels and low pro tires.
100% agree
Time for a video on getting a second key
Earl slipped by... lol... It's looking great. Now is a hard time.. It's so close and you have been grinding for what seems like forever. Stop breathe... focus.. and just one step at a time... and slow becomes fast. Because you are just content and concentrating. It looks great 👍. You have learned a tremendous amount in the process. Hopefully you wash and wax the WIFEMAX and display it in the car show. Mark and the guys join in.. be a nice time. 👌
I never liked 35's on the GMT 800'S They just don't look right cause the wheel wells are too small. I run 34x10.5, no trimming necessary. That aftermarket bumper is gonna rust from carwashes, no salt required! Ask me how I know! Can't wait to see the finished truck, almost there!
Ooh I want it
Like I said before you got the same year truck, but your truck is so awesome
Great video
Biggest rule with power door locks,do not trust them and do not leave the keys in
Why are there not spacers for the bumper for bigger wheels yet
Main thing is that the Mrs. Likes it 🏆🍺😎👌🇺🇸
The very end with the guy talking about the 24’s 😂😂😂
The random 6.0 in the background 😂😂
35s on 24s are not rubber bands wife max had 22 with 33s same thing
Hey Josh, truck's looking awesome! The mirrors look great too. I noticed they don't have that weird tilt you see on the GMT800 trucks with aftermarket mirrors. I have a question though - I have an '05 and it came with a set of similar looking tow mirrors. The issue was that my truck originally came with the factory power folding memory mirrors, so every time I would turn the truck on, it attempted to find home and reposition the mirrors to the last known state which caused the aftermarket mirrors to basically have a seizure and go full tilt until it just timed out. I would have to readjust the mirrors every time I turned the truck on and ended up getting a set of original power folding memory mirrors off eBay, but I miss the tow mirrors. Do you know if these mirrors you put on the Sunkist truck would work with the factory power folding memory option?
Turn off that auto lock feature. Looking sweet.
Do you have a link for the power mirrors?
Hey TOON SARNT just wanted to let you know, even though i click like on every video and watch every one all the way through, for about 3 months now your channel/new videos quit showing up in my feed so i have to type your channel in every day just to see if theres a new upload.
Maybe others have noticed this too, but just letting you know so maybe you can get that squared away with your rep since it will help get more subs/views.
Thanks for that! I had a feeling people weren’t getting notified since the views have been way down lately. Hope you are doing good brother
Josh,I just bought a RDS 9 blade 64mm and had a bunch of work done to my 15lml, Now I’m hearing a lot of not so good things about that turbo, What can I expect? How many miles have you heard of this turbo holding up? Thanks from central Fl.
Every diesel I own has a RDS turbo and I’ve never had a problem. It all goes down to how it was installed if your mechanic didn’t check for boost leaks the turbo will not last long
How much was that paint job 💲 it looks good
That truck will never get finished frig
Should of went 24x14s on 35s
Like if your concerned for someone’s budget 😂
Great vid!
The truck is looking great. But it’s not a Chevy if you don’t cut the bumpers some hahaha. Can’t wait to see it finished
👍
Rubber bands are where it’s at.
The key to the red truck or the white truck would have unlocked it
Looks sick, not a fan of the rough country lift but sick otherwise. BDS with fox stuff is far better for ride quality and looks
Wow! 35” won’t fit on a Chevy with a lift!? I had 37x13.50 on my super duty with a level kit. Barely rubbed on leaf spring inside
Square wheel well life
Just get an off road bumper
i say go with an aftermarket bumper
Ohhhh NO. Not 24s. 🤦. Rubber band tires are so NOT good looking. WHY
I think it’s looks super aggressive. Useful? No. But it’s not gonna be a work rig so it works.
Rubber band tires never look good on a lifted truck (IMO)
I really like the smaller rim, bigger tire look and put so much effort into a stock bumper
YESSSS 24s 👹
Go cry somewhere else
Should have left it stock 😔
I really need a build on the channel that’s a stock build one day
Not wearing gloves and handling them solvents whew!
I don’t understand why you would choose to lift the truck when you had as much work done to it as you had, especially when you are using 35” tires.
Because that’s how I like it 👍
@@TruckMaster No disrespect. I just meant that there are other ways to go about installing 35” tires. Look at the H1 for example.
I still don't understand the extreme offset and over size wheels. as someone who runs 33's with 17's covered in mud just to get to my house in the winter, they don't seem at all useful. But, keep it up man. Love your videos!
why do people cut bumpers like this. Set a piece of tape from where the wheel well meets the bumper down to where you need to cut and get a nice straight cut that looks factory. looks so much cleaner
That actually sounds like a worse idea
@@TruckMaster anyone who’s ever seen how I did mine in person always says they wish they did it like mine. Looks factory can’t tell it’s even cut till I tell you better than a random cut sideways on the bumper….
nothing is really getting done in these videos lately
NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO OR TRY AND BLEND IT... CUTTING THE FRONT BUMBER LOOKS LIKE CRAP.. BUILD FOR FUNCTION ANS FIT...
These guys are spending so much time on body work that to me seems unnecessary. Those tires will destroy the paint within a year.
just put on better wheels instead of pavement princess wheels that stick out and look awful
😂😂
I can’t donate until you tell me something.
Why are you pouring tons of money into that pickup?
The pickup doesn’t have any sentimental value to you because it was just the cheapest Duramax you could find.
If you wanted to do a resto-mod then you achieved that many months ago.
But you keep personalizing it per your taste and pouring time, money and modifications into it, to create a pickup that you really like.
BUT WHY?
I look forward to your answer.
I don’t no why you wanted to ruin a beautiful looking truck with that fantastic paint job by jacking it up so far and putting wide tires like that on it which will the spray the sides with all kinds of crap that will ruin the paint ..If you just want it as a show piece to sit at a show that’s different .I think your taking it way too far .
It’s a show truck so that’s why
Why would you spend to much time are effort into bring it back to life only to be hell bent on finishing it off horribly?
Next, remove the rear lift then it’s comple.
