The little Boxford would most likely originally been supplied a school/ college. The serial no is from 1962. I have an AUD model from 1966 and fair play to you for getting that in & out of a family car. I have a van with a tail lift and It was a two man job.
Hi 👋, Joe , I have just been given Boxford Model A , it needs some work to be done on it, but the main problem the bed needs resurfacing, As it is badly worn in the centre , and the person who had it before me, had to put some shims under the tailstock, do you know how much or roughly it would cost to have the bedways resurfaced?, Or who to contact, I live in France, but I go back-and-forth to the UK every other month or so, if you can give me some advice, be very much appreciated, Phil
