I agree the blue gilding goes great with the grey cover. I think it would be perfect to have the book titles, chapter numbers and verse numbers in blue to match the gilding but that’s just me. Thank you for sharing pastor
Hey Mike, yes, I agree that blue book tittles, chapter numbers and verse numbers would make this Bible look outstanding as well. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comments 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I wish they wouldn't release these so close to Christmas. I knew that as soon as I saw the blue pages that I would be interested in this because it reminds me of the first Bible I ever had in first grade. It was an NRSV with blue pages. This one is a little bigger than I prefer, but I don't think you can pass up a color combo like this. It's gorgeous.
Yes, it's really gorgeous and I think from the seller's perspective they are right on time 😆 But you're right, it's hard to resist for the buyer 😄 I love this color combination and I hope we see more of this in the future. Thank you so much for watching and commenting 🤗
This one looks interesting. I've noticed Thomas Nelson has really good bible paper in some of the lower end bibles. This same layout with wide margin would be amazing
Yes, they really put out Bibles that are affordable and that have awesome paper! I agree with you, a wide margin with the same text layout would definitely be a winner 😉 Thank you so much for watching and commenting my friend 🤗🙏🏽 God bless you and keep you 🤗🤗🤗
I was thinking about getting this Bible..love colors, layout, but went with Maclaren NKJV, because of black letter text....if this was black letter, would have gotten it...😀
Your review is spot on. I picked one of these up and it is elegant without being over the top. Love the paper and layout, anything from 2K Denmark tends to be perfectly readable and consistent. Was looking for a verse by verse workhorse Bible in nkjv and this one fit my needs perfectly. Also just subscribed, love your calming voice and your spot on review. Keep up the great work.
Great job on this review! Really wish they'd have gone for edge/leather lined and full yapp on this cover and blue under silver would've been more premium. Bought it anyway to add to my collection!
I saw Bible Believing Christian post a video of this Bible. I love this layout and size for an all-round Bible. But two issues: Nelson's Genuine Leather doesn't like to lie flat. And for $100, although the blue stained page edges are very nice - I'd expect to pay less with no gilding.

Looks great! I hadn’t seen this one before. I probably have too many NKJV bibles anyway. Are you going to be getting one of the NKJV Stridons when they go up for sale?
This one definitely has a great appeal ❤️ I think I would ave a hard time if I had to choose between the two 😆 Thank you so much for watching and commenting 🤗🤗🤗
Is the paper as white as the premier paper or off white such as the schyulers? I found that there is a shine on the premier collection under light, is it so with this one?
Hi there, the paper is definitely white as the paper of the Premier. About the shine, are you referring to something in general or that more specific shine that seems to happen under intense light due to some irregularity in the texture of the paper? That's how I can describe it anyways 😆 If your question is the latter, I think this one is less irregular in that regard than the paper of the Premier. Seems more smooth and the white coloration more consistent. I may be completely wrong here, we are dealing with details that for most eyes are not perceptible.
@@crucified4me Thank you for responding! and yes I did mean shine under intense light, I read and study under a light and the reflective paper of the premier is kind of distracting lol.
Ok so I planned on getting a decent NKJV for study alongside my main translation (KJV) even though they're really similar. How do you think this compares to a Topaz? I am a huge blue guy and I don't like paragraph format nor do I like references at the bottom of the page. This limits me to very few options :) If you had to choose between this and a blue Topaz which one and why? And out of the winner of those 2, what would you choose between it and a Schuyler and why? Sorry for the extra work brother but I do appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
If I had to choose between this one and a Topaz I would probably go with this one, or its cousin in premium goatskin. If I had to choose between that and a Schuyler Quentel, I would choose the Schuyler, no doubts! Here's why: 1 - The Topaz kept the capitalization for the poetry format in the NKJV, even though there's no poetry format and caps appear (apparently) randomly in the middle of the text. This FREAKS ME OUT!! I'm too OCD for that 🤣 2 - The Classic Verse-by-Verse is gorgeous, I love the layout and the font, but the margin and gutter space is less generous compared to the Schuyler. 3 - Unlike you, I'm okay with references at the bottom of the page. I prefer verse by verse, but the Schuyler Quentel NKJV has bold verse numbers which makes them easy to find, even if it's a paragraph format. I hope this helps ☝️ No need to apologize, I had the answer on the tip of my fingers 😄😄
@@crucified4me Awesome thank you :) Right now I am deliberating between Schuyler and Nelson. Like you, the poetry thing bothers me. It almost looks like they were lazy about it. I have been bugging Schuyler often about making a wide margin NKJV. They would be the #1 wide margin if they did this, especially if VbV.
