@@mysurefoundation383 Hello dear friend, thank you for your encouraging words! Yes, we serve a powerful and compassionate Savior ✝ In regards to your question, that's a wonderful Bible. I have two of those and they are awesome! The Micron pens will not bleed through at all if you used them to underline and/or mark on 28 GSM indopaque paper by Schuyler, I've been doing it daily for years. I personally use colored pencils (Caran d'Ache) to underline, no highlighters (or only very rarely) as those can be tricky. If you must use highlighters, I've tested the dual tip highlighters by Mr. Pen and they are good. I'll share a few videos here below to give you an idea of what I'm talking about and how I mark my Bible. Thank you Pr Gouveia. I’m not sure about the single column but love the maps. Do you get your Bibles from the ABC or somewhere else? I’m using an interim Bible as I still haven’t found my old faithful one. I will get another but have been so distracted with other things. Thank you for your reviews on different Bibles👍🏻🙂

Hi there, thank you for watching and for your question. I am always reading and listening to the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, but I don't do it in a rush, I take my time. I also study other parts of the Bible at the same time, normally going verse by verse in a book or two. Right now I'm in Matthew. I've read and heard the Bible through in a year but I rarely do that, it's not the main thing for me. I would prefer to really soak in one verse, or story, or Psalm, or idea, then to read 5 chapters straight. I recorded a video a few years ago with my thoughts and practice. @ I really appreciate this information and I think going slow like you mentioned is a lot better than large chunks. As an aside your video from a few years back is one of the first videos I watched and incorporated as part of my Bible marking plan. I’ve always done so and I recently revised my marketing plan using yours as the baseline for how I mark my Bible. It has been hugely helpful and how I study the Bible as a visual learner. I’m using the new King James premier, thin line and blue goat skin.

@ is one of the reasons why you get a new Bible every five years or so due to the fact that there is no longer any room in the Bible for notes or Bible marking once you’ve gone through it several times?

Hi there! This Bible was offered to my son and he has kept it pristine, inside the box :) he has other Bibles that he uses at school, church and around the house. It seems like a pretty resistant Bible though. I had a NKJV Pitt Minion for a fear years and even with use it was looking great. I gave it away to a Pastor friend who loves small Bibles!

Hi there! Great question. If you are referring to the Thomas Nelson Single-Column Premier that came out a few years ago in paragraph format, the readability is really very good and I don't think it takes a back seat to the Schuyler Stridon, it's basically a matter of personal preference regarding the style of the layout and paper quality, but both Bible have amazing readability. I would not say the same about the new Thomas Nelson Verse by Verse Single Column, since, in my opinion, the readability on that one is just a bit inferior. I hope this helps!

And yes, it was the TN single column Premier in paragraph format that I was referring to... you have a great video review on it (thank you)! I am really drawn to the Stridon leather options, fancy papier francais, and how they separate the translation notes and references (it is so well done, IMO)... but after reading your note on "format preference", it made me realize I do prefer a single column paragraph instead of a single column VBV for reading (VBV for study and church). Maybe Schuyler will come out with a NKJV Treveris soon?? Nonetheless, I am so grateful to have the bible in any format! It's truly an added blessing to have multiple options to read and study His word. So grateful. May He continue to bless you, your family and ministry!

Full yapp is not my thing, for sure. But looking at the options for the NKJV Stridon this was the color option that appealed to me more. The Stridon ESV in Olive is not a primary Bible for me, the NKJV is my main translation. I may even sell the ESV at some point since I have several other ESV Bibles already and recently bough the personal size. What is your primary translation?

Guess what? I planted hydrangeas too, here in Tennessee. Snowball bushes is what we called them when I lived on the island as a kid. But last month when we visited, I just couldn’t get over how many there are!

@ thank you I’ve watched your review already and like the Bible and its features (Center column references, vbv, book intros and it being close to the “Goldilocks” size in my opinion). My only reservation was I could only find the China print ones and it’s not line matched. Is the absence of line matching very obvious and does it impede its readability? My other option is the Thomas Nelson Premier Collection vbv Center column references. Which fits all my needs except my dimensional preferences because it’s much thicker. Which would you advise I buy between them? I can get the Thomas Nelson for $92 (brown goatskin) or $103 (black goatskin) and the Holman for $60 (Black genuine leather).

@@kflow4491 Hello again, great questions. The China print is definitely not as good quality in my experience, but still usable. The absence of line matching can be a deterrent for someone sensitive to the ghosting. Again, I don't think it would prevent you from using the Bible and having a wonderful time with it, but once you've seen and handled higher quality Bibles and know the difference, you will always find that a Bible that does not have line matching is not giving you the best reading experience. Bottom line, we are spoiled these days :) I know I am... Concerning the TN Premier Collection VBV Center Column Reference Bible, it's really a different kind of Bible. The paper is superior, the reading experience is much better and, in this format, it is hard to beat. However, you are right in having that hesitation about the size, it does make a difference if you are searching for a slimmer, more portable Bible. It really depends on your preferences and how you will use the Bible. In all honesty, if I could choose only one between those two, I would go with the TN, even though it's a bigger Bible. The prices you mentioned sound about right. Perhaps you could buy both and return the one you don't like as much?
