So many great singers. I put on youtube (as karifrid) many videos. I think my high C in Be my love is strong, and longer than from Mario Lanza. I sing video with 11 high c´s from La sperenza, from La boheme in a video 23 minutes long. Also Di quella pira, four times.... 8 high C´s. I made a video ,singing THREE OKTAVES, Very long voice... No big jobs. (I am not so sexy...) I must say, that the asians are very strong here...
Of course, I've heard Domingo sing a high C, outside of a duet, about as often Caruso did, which was not often, and?. He's the GOAT. It takes more than making pretty girl sounds to wear that crown. So your high c battle is really just a popularity contest and that's fine. Dramatic spinto tenors are not supposed to be high c dispensers, light lyric tenors are, such as Juan Diego Florez and his fellow countryman Luigi Alva and so on, esp singing the Mozart/Donizetti/Rossini repertoire. Also: Verdi did not write a c in Di quella pira. Paz.
