    The only way I could ever send all 5 shots off my revolver down range in less than a second is if I threw the loaded revolver at the target.

    This is classified, but I found out about it because I'm a Delta Beret Army SEAL operator: The new anti-missile system for the USS Gerald R. Ford is that they've hired Jerry Miculek to stand on deck and shoot incoming missiles with his revolver.

      I think shooting sports are very cool and I have great respect for gunwork that borders on artistry. But that doesn't have to be exclusive with simultaneously supporting more strict protections so we don't have to worry about our kids getting gunned down in classrooms.

      Yeah but dems just pushing blanket bans is stupid. Maybe mental health checks combined with more security in schools. And I don't see why so many people oppose armed security in schools... most other government buildings have it. And I mean enough security to cover every entrance. More than likely no one would even attempt a mass shooting in the first place if they knew security was that high.

      I'm no expert but I be played with ALOTof guns growing up, rifles, shotguns and pistols. He can fire fast, it's impressive. But I didn't see the targets as they were struck. A pistol(especially bigger caliber)are hard asf to control or aim, especially at his momentum. I doubt if he can accurately aim that pistol especially a revolver which takes a bit of resistance. I'd have to witness that

  • @ReonMagnum
    @ReonMagnum 6 років тому +45

    Why is Jerry Miculek so fast at reloading a revolver? Let me explain in lengthy detail:
    Jerry is using a double action revolver in .45 ACP. He uses a moon clip to reload, which is piece of metal that can hold all the cartridges at once.
    The standard reloading tool for a double action revolver is a speed loader, a device which holds six/five rounds together. First the shooter pushes/pulls the cylinder release to swing out the cylinder then ejects all empty casings inside using the ejector rod. The speed loader needs to be pressed against a swung out cylinder with the cartridges inside the empty chambers, then a knob needs to be either twisted or pushed (depending on the speed loader type). This releases the rounds from the loader into the chambers, then the cylinder can be closed. The shooter can then either pocket the empty loader or drop it on the ground.
    Speed reloaders are certainly faster than inserting cartridges individually, however moon clips are even faster. Revolver cylinders need to be be cut with grooves to allow usage of moon clips. When reloading using moon clips, the shooter ejects all spent casings, inserts the moon clip in the cylinder with all rounds inside the chambers, then closes the cylinder. This method is way faster because it has fewer mechanical movements than a speed loader reload. Simply pop in the clip and you're done.
    When its time to reload again, the entire moonclip along with the empty brass comes out when the ejector rod is pressed, which is also faster since casings expand inside a fired cylinder and they sometimes do not come out all at once with a push of the ejector rod.
    Why is Jerry able to shoot his revolver so fast? It's because he's using .45 ACP, a semi-auto pistol caliber which recoils very mildly compared to much more powerful revolver calibers like .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum.
    Let me be clear though, even with Jerry's equipment, you still need to practice A LOT to become as fast as him in shooting and reloading.

      @Patriot66699 6 років тому

    • @robertsauceda4757
      @robertsauceda4757 5 років тому +5

      While Jerry has certainly used a 625 in the past the revolver he's using is a .357, at 6:10 you can clearly see those are not short stubby .45 ACP cartridges.
