You go to the range, set up your stuff, dry fire a bit, look over and Jerry walks in, doesn't dry fire and starts immediately doing this..pisses you off when you look at the confetti on your target then the keyholeson his...then...you figured it out! PACK UP YOUR SHIT AND LEAVE! Outstanding IQ!
This is classified, but I found out about it because I'm a Delta Beret Army SEAL operator: The new anti-missile system for the USS Gerald R. Ford is that they've hired Jerry Miculek to stand on deck and shoot incoming missiles with his revolver.
I think shooting sports are very cool and I have great respect for gunwork that borders on artistry. But that doesn't have to be exclusive with simultaneously supporting more strict protections so we don't have to worry about our kids getting gunned down in classrooms.
Yeah but dems just pushing blanket bans is stupid. Maybe mental health checks combined with more security in schools. And I don't see why so many people oppose armed security in schools... most other government buildings have it. And I mean enough security to cover every entrance. More than likely no one would even attempt a mass shooting in the first place if they knew security was that high.
@Dill Rogerz we already have a society where medical reasons can disqualify you from driving a car, flying a plane or being in certain fields of employment. Because failing to take mental and physical health into account is dangerous and irresponsible. The same is true here.
I'm no expert but I be played with ALOTof guns growing up, rifles, shotguns and pistols. He can fire fast, it's impressive. But I didn't see the targets as they were struck. A pistol(especially bigger caliber)are hard asf to control or aim, especially at his momentum. I doubt if he can accurately aim that pistol especially a revolver which takes a bit of resistance. I'd have to witness that
@@rayoliverjr6328 Bro you are so out of the loop, the record only counts if it's on target within the 10 point ring. Which means.....?? Common man, He AIMED then SHOT. ffs
Jerry Miculek shot an orange, an apple, and a grape at about 10 yards within half a second each. That was the best shots I've ever seen. But I didn't know he was the world's best until I watched this video. Salute!
This was in 1999 and still to this day this man can still shoot. Think he’s gotten faster. He’s beyond amazing. Any weapon he can shoot fast and accurate
Jerry This is my favorite. The effort, the determination all the support from S&W, the support from the spectators. What a day!!!! You are a blessed man. Thank you for always being clean with your language and your attitude!!!! My most favorite thing is to watch you have sooooo much fun doing what you do!!! Love your comments "wwhuu", "bonsye", and the best, "getsome" Thanks for simply being you!!! God Bless!!!
Why is Jerry Miculek so fast at reloading a revolver? Let me explain in lengthy detail: Jerry is using a double action revolver in .45 ACP. He uses a moon clip to reload, which is piece of metal that can hold all the cartridges at once. The standard reloading tool for a double action revolver is a speed loader, a device which holds six/five rounds together. First the shooter pushes/pulls the cylinder release to swing out the cylinder then ejects all empty casings inside using the ejector rod. The speed loader needs to be pressed against a swung out cylinder with the cartridges inside the empty chambers, then a knob needs to be either twisted or pushed (depending on the speed loader type). This releases the rounds from the loader into the chambers, then the cylinder can be closed. The shooter can then either pocket the empty loader or drop it on the ground. Speed reloaders are certainly faster than inserting cartridges individually, however moon clips are even faster. Revolver cylinders need to be be cut with grooves to allow usage of moon clips. When reloading using moon clips, the shooter ejects all spent casings, inserts the moon clip in the cylinder with all rounds inside the chambers, then closes the cylinder. This method is way faster because it has fewer mechanical movements than a speed loader reload. Simply pop in the clip and you're done. When its time to reload again, the entire moonclip along with the empty brass comes out when the ejector rod is pressed, which is also faster since casings expand inside a fired cylinder and they sometimes do not come out all at once with a push of the ejector rod. Why is Jerry able to shoot his revolver so fast? It's because he's using .45 ACP, a semi-auto pistol caliber which recoils very mildly compared to much more powerful revolver calibers like .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum. Let me be clear though, even with Jerry's equipment, you still need to practice A LOT to become as fast as him in shooting and reloading.
While Jerry has certainly used a 625 in the past the revolver he's using is a .357, at 6:10 you can clearly see those are not short stubby .45 ACP cartridges.
Man I remember watching this episode of American Shooter with my dad when I was a kid. The ability of Jerry is amazing. I'm pretty sure my love for guns and shooting came from these old shows and watching Jerry shoot.
Greatest man with the greatest revolvers.he really pushed himself in every attempt.this is the greatest motivation for me.that why i subscribed his channel.he's one of the precious shooters
For the 300K give away, you wanted to know my favorite video... and its this one. I love watching and re watching Jerry break this record, especially in slow motion hahaha! It's crazy fast! I also like the details given in what it takes to lead up to
I had to live under a rock as I only found out about Jerry few days ago. Fact is, for most of my life I lived in a country where is easier to buy a used submarine than get weapon permit... Jerry is amazing.
Poor kid. He looks like he was a bit embarrassed afterwards too, but hey how many kids can say they watch a world record be broken live especially one as cool as this?!
The only way I could ever send all 5 shots off my revolver down range in less than a second is if I threw the loaded revolver at the target.
Oh I could put rounds down range slightly slower... But my grouping would be 5 feet!
😂😂👍 BAWHAHAHA!!! 🔫 THAT WAS FUNNY!!! HAHAHA!
Adeum Deus same
That made me literally laugh out loud 😂🤣😂
🤣🤣🤣
This is the only guy who can make a revolver a full auto.
he makes revolver a full semi-automatic pistol.
He got real life cheat codes I’m tellin ya
You go to the range, set up your stuff, dry fire a bit, look over and Jerry walks in, doesn't dry fire and starts immediately doing this..pisses you off when you look at the confetti on your target then the keyholeson his...then...you figured it out! PACK UP YOUR SHIT AND LEAVE! Outstanding IQ!
Will California ban him I wonder 🤔
He has used a semi auto pistol to out shoot an full auto uzi
Kid at 7:29 looks absolutely devastated that he almost intentionally avoided his handshake lmao.
Norse Forge :(
LOL
HAHAH
Great observation. 🤌

Peho Tissadevo ) EXCELLENT
I feel safer knowing this
I don’t usually believe people with internet cred, but this has to be true. It just is.
USSR
No thats Chuck Norris...he stares the missiles down and they turn around out of fear of Chuck Norris.
Back in the days when the shooting sports were praised and celebrated rather than demonized, like today.
I think shooting sports are very cool and I have great respect for gunwork that borders on artistry. But that doesn't have to be exclusive with simultaneously supporting more strict protections so we don't have to worry about our kids getting gunned down in classrooms.
Well said

Nah they were demonized back then too. I remember.
"You just set a record?! Practicing?!" 😄
Google User just absolutely ridiculous

@@rayoliverjr6328 well, you're wrong
Ray Oliver Jr you’re definitely no expert, right about that
Jerry's actually firing a pellet gun, it just sounds like a gun due to sonic boom coming from the index finger.
I saw this on tv when I was a kid loved watching this. Thanks for uploading it.
7:31 jerry left that kid hanging
I know right, Since hes a fast shooter he should also be a fast shaker.
haha poor kid acts like he was really just fixing his hair do
davidmarquez1113 I must have been in the moment. Sorry kid!
Lmao, your name is awesome
Lol
I love when he made set record he went and shook the crowds hands and said thanks. It warmed my heart
5:46 that reload sound is beautiful to hear, even faster reaload than most guns in cs go lol
Runs right over to thank the crowd. He's the real deal. God bless him!
Why would I carry a revolver is doesn’t hold enough shots
Miculek: hold my beer
Jerry Miculek shot an orange, an apple, and a grape at about 10 yards within half a second each. That was the best shots I've ever seen.

Hahaha I love the "New high tech range printer"
if i was shooting they would have to reload the paper before i was done, maybe that is why i have a shotgun in the house short distance
Outstanding footage. Especially the slow-motion gun-handling stuff.
A living legend and an all around great guy. Rock on, Jerry!

I just learned something. Never even knew about moon clips... Umm
38 special is probably equal or milder than the 45.
45 acp and 44sw spec have exactly the same ballistics
While Jerry has certainly used a 625 in the past the revolver he's using is a .357, at 6:10 you can clearly see those are not short stubby .45 ACP cartridges.
Jerry mick
Not enough people know about you, so I'm glad you have this video up so I can show them your story. Thank you for that.
Happy 60th Jerry!
Great, I have never seen this in such good quality! Still amazing after 15 years!
Happy 60th Jerry! You don't look your age and your shooting is still superb !
I've purchased guns because of Jerry... He's a legend
"legend" is an understatement
Jerry seems to be a genuine nice person.
Always do love watching him set these records.
This record still blows me away every time I watch it.
I miss this announcer, his voice was so iconic
I remember watching this on TV in high school. One of my inspirations to shoot
Man I remember watching this episode of American Shooter with my dad when I was a kid. The ability of Jerry is amazing. I'm pretty sure my love for guns and shooting came from these old shows and watching Jerry shoot.
That is some incredible history! Happy Birthday!
Thanks for posting this. I always wanted to know more about the record. Very cool. You sir are impressive.
He runs the 625 faster than the microphone and camera can pick it up...sick
One of my favorites! Thanks Jerry!
i love watching JM videos, great motivators! go Jerry!
Is the host just butchering Jerry's last name or does Jerry just pronounce his own last name differently
Host pronounces it Jerry Mitch-lick and Jerry pronounces it Jerry Mitch-a-lark
I think the host is butchering it. I mean Jerry does know how to pronounce his own name, at least I would think he does. =)
Eric Borders My point exactly. The host butchered it several times.
fbmbirds He sure did. I corrected him three times, but he still got it wrong. =)
The host pronounces it properly. Jerry has been wrong all these years
Great video, also I'm from Springfield MA so it was nice to see that.
Happy birthday Jerry! Skill and dedication goes a long way.
Can't stop watching this - amazing accomplishment. A revolver!!!
Outstanding Mr. Miculek!
Congratulations on the new records at the time!
Greatest man with the greatest revolvers.he really pushed himself in every attempt.this is the greatest motivation for me.that why i subscribed his channel.he's one of the precious shooters
When are people going to learn to say his name right?! Love this guy!! So humble, and a complete bad-ass.
He's a gunner, for real
Amazing. I think your even faster now. Thanks for the videos and keep them coming Jerry.
amazing shooting!
Happy 60th Birthday Jerry, Thanks for all you do for the gun community
1999 feels like it was 10 years ago... but its acutally 20 years ago...
Damn
RePlayBoy101 21
Jerry is only 44 years old in this video. He looks great for 64 (now) but he looked pretty much the same then (99).
Look at that YOUNG man!
That is the most Jim looking Jim Scoutten I've ever seen.
I never get tired of watching that video Jerry!
"Did you just set a World Record while practicing?"
Loved that video, your the man Jerry
man i used to love this show
I love all these pre sept 11 video's. America was still so beautiful and free :) Now instead of being King, they have one.
Son of a Zombie sw
Democrats are the ones spreading fear and demonizing everything they deem fit their narrative to control this nation and put money in their pockets
The video quality here doesn’t look like 1999 lol
I remember watching this I was 7
My first and favorite video with Jerry!
7:24 Green shirt guy really wanted that handshake. Fastest handshaker in the west.
Happy Birthday Jerry thanks for all you have done for shooting sports and 2A.
"Jerry miklick" 🤣🤣🤣
what a absolute legend.
Jerry Miculek, the best shooter I know.
For the 300K give away, you wanted to know my favorite video... and its this one. I love watching and re watching Jerry break this record, especially in slow motion hahaha! It's crazy fast! I also like the details given in what it takes to lead up to
Awesome video!!!
Imagine a shot timer that printed you a receipt showing your split times. Lol ahhh the 1990’s.
This guy is a emperor at what he does this guy match the world record when practicing then break the world record in real time
I really enjoy watching Jerry in action, keep it up Jerry and happy birthday
I LOVE THIS MAN
Imagine the guy in the hotel room next to Jerry. Not a single wink of sleep.
He seems like such a nice guy, I'd sleep like a baby.
Certified badass!
Awesome! Jerry hasn't aged since this video
Scoutten had a classic voice.
Never met him but everything thing I see of him in videos he seems like a great guy. I hope he keeps kicking ass for a very long time to come.
He definitely still is
Someone give this man an applause👏
Thats nutty. I put snap caps in my model 15 S&W and I couldnt dry fire it half as fast.
Thanks for this treat any more older videos we could have ?
Jerry is the BEST.
I saw this years ago and it's always fun to watch.
I had to live under a rock as I only found out about Jerry few days ago. Fact is, for most of my life I lived in a country where is easier to buy a used submarine than get weapon permit... Jerry is amazing.
I know it's been a while, but what country?
20 years ago man. Time flies.
Absolutely amazing,
Wow! Jest Pan niesamowitym strzelcem! Pozdrowienia z Polski!
Your my hero Jerry!
Happy Birthday Jerry! Just incredible..
I'd like to see his reloads in super slo-mo. That was incredible.
The fashion drip is astronomical 😂
Absolutely beautiful shooting.
@7:30 the kid in the green shorts didn't get to shake your hand Jerry
Poor kid. He looks like he was a bit embarrassed afterwards too, but hey how many kids can say they watch a world record be broken live especially one as cool as this?!
If he is watching this i think he is still having a bad feeling about this :S :D
i was about to post the same thing hahaha he seems so bummed out that jerry completely skipped over him.
trevor corey Experiences like these can make you to avoid to shake somebodys hand
Yeah for sure, NOT cool Jerry. Lol
Damn, I was only 8 months old when he did this.
That moment when you realize that it's gonna be almost impossible to break any of his records
Happy Birthday Sir Miculek.
Great video :D
Well, happy birthday, Jerry, very well done! I also enjoyed finally seeing Ed McGivern in action as well.
Amazing!
Haha love this. Everything in this video is America, the presenter's voice, the crowd the 'size' of the crowd. Love it xD
I’m surprised they haven’t tried to regulate the full-auto revolvers... yet.
I’ve seen mini guns slower than him.
U mean full semi automatic right?
Jerry has always been the best and the last guy you'd want to go head-to-head at High Noon with 😪
Wow just wow, cool video
5:44 is just gorgeous. faster than any video game revolver reload i’ve ever seen even
Somebody doesn't remember speed cola
Great American Legend! ❤
