They're now saying that Rene Gagnon was originally misidentified in the raising of the second flag and that it was actually Harold Schultz. I have no idea of the veracity of that claim but what's undoubtedly true is that Joe Rosenthal's photograph was one of the most powerful and emotion stirring photographs of WWII.

Having had a chance to see this statue in person a couple of times, this video shows the statue from all angles. If one gets a postcard or a tourist booklet showing the statue, it is usually looking in an easterly direction. The 4 critics of this video do have one valid reason. Unless one sees the statue in person, one misses the impression of the great size of the statue that one does not get by watching it on a large TV screen. A large TV screen still cuts down on the impression that the statue creates.

Pronunciation of "s" betrays a foreign accent.

Sadly, the narrator does not know how to pronounce the word 'Corps' in the United States Marine Corps. The narrator keeps pronouncing all the letters in the word, thus pronouncing it as 'Corpse' which is a dead body. Sometimes 'Corp' as in short for Corporation or a company. 'Corps' is pronounced as 'Cor' or 'Core'. A Corps is a military measurement of a group, which is divisible by three. 30 seconds in the narrator states that the memorial is dedicated to all 'Marine Corpse'. No sir. The Memorial is dedicated to All MARINES. They should have done more homework on how to pronounce words correctly to show some effort and respect when honoring Marines. Better yet, they should just get a Marine to narrate over this correctly using the proper language and terminology. Unacceptable.

With nearly 7,000 US Marines dead in Iwo Jima to say that the memorial is dedicated to all "Marine Corpse" is unwittingly accurate, though.

..it is unacceptable. The narrator is from the British Isles, and there the pronunciation of word, corps, is as per the standard pronunciation world-wide, with the p and s remaining silent. Why on earth this wasn't picked up and corrected, is beyond reason.
