I'll recognize McDavid as a better player when he starts scoring some fucking goals. I'm not going to admit he's better when he's playing with Leon Draisaitl and is 37th in the league in goals. Also, I'll take Matthews having the better career because McDavid's game is so heavily dependent upon speed and breaking away and creating space from other players, and speed tends to drop off after a player hits 30 years old. Not to mention McDavid isn't physical and can't play defense. So McDavid may be better for the next 5-10 years, but Matthews will be the better long term player.
