A lot of Canadian NHL fans are absolute casuals when it comes to players not born in Canada or who play for American teams. There’s many fans up there who still don’t realize how good Kirill is
Kap is naturally extremely gifted but it’s can’t be overstated how beneficial the five years he spent in Russia before eventually signing with the wild. His development wouldn’t have been nearly as successful had he immediately signed with the wild and rot for 3-4 years in Iowa.
Always been a believer in Kaprisov, glad he is being noticed as he seemed to fly under the radar for someone who can carry the team. (This is coming from a Hawks fan)

From watching many wild games it's clear that so much of his production comes from the fact that he's a phenomenal Skater. He knows how to keep the defense opposite his puckside which creates scoring chances that others wouldn't get.
His skating edges are elite, he is able to create a lot of separation and has a quick release which makes him wildly unpredictable and difficult to defend
His stamina and drive are unmatched. He’s a throwback to earlier players but also has high end skills. Vision, hands, skating, along with board work are amazing.
