@@wraith444 I forgot on the F-16 but I know the F/A-18 has things like fire warning system tests, which takes like 5 minutes to test. The Obogs or oxygen system is also useless because you don’t need it in dcs, and I could go on

What happens when the enemy is strafing your airfield and want to get up there the and do battle with them? Sit in the cockpit and have a smoke while the system gets up and running??
It'd be pretty weird if no one noticed enemy planes on radar until they were right next to the airfield, but yes, that is what you would do. It does not take that long.
DCS is designed for total immersion and realism, if you want easy run and gun entertainment, try War Thunder. Also remember that starting a turbine engine is not like turning the key in your car or pressing the start button in your EV, research the term, EGT. Those early jets were temperamental and required constant monitoring, something DCS hasn't even tackled yet. You definitely do not want a flameout or unstart and especially not a run away turbine condition, where your jet turns into a bomb.
That's just how starting an aircraft is. And you're right in a way, it isn't supposed to be a matter of memorizing the steps. IRL, startup procedures are done following a written checklist to make sure nothing is missed.
You should see the full checklists for the modern jets. DCS *tries* to model as much as possible, but there are certain systems that militaries continue to guard jealously, like encryption, communications, and the finer details of radar emissions. Conversely, the F-86F really can get started in minutes. It doesn't have complicated radar, or GPS, or laser-guided bombs or fly-by-wire or helmet-mounted displays, just... your engine. It's nearly a WW2 plane with a jet engine.
@@wraith444 Maybe I am thinking of the times when pilots sat outside but under the loudspeaker telling them to fly. They had to gain altitude as fast as possible and they were not vectored until they were aloft. The most recent similar example I can think of is a pilot sitting for hours in his Harrier, told he would not be needed that day, until he was abruptly sent to join the fight. But that was the Falklands war.

F/A-18 and F-16 making you do so much unnecessary stuff that hasn’t even been implemented in the game

I don't know why I can't stop seeing these videos, I don't even play DCS but they are addictive! Great work man! Thanks!
You're gonna end up spending a lot of money soon.

"Let's gooo" probably the best part of his videos.
I don’t even play flight sims why can’t I stop watching these videos lol they just grab my attention relentlessly
i do like these quick vids dude, just an instant refresher when we need it.
Pyro
Very straightforward like grampa
Don't have the weapon selector on guns unless you want the radar active. You'll also annoy friendlies at the airfield because their RWR panics.
But did you arm the ejection seat?
Do we need those?
"No ejection seats. We crash like men."
Dank straight to the hell

Could you do some of the props like the P-51, 109, and P-47?
My buddy Sport has you covered.

We had one of these as my Middle School mascot and there was a real one out front always on display by the sign.
Wow!
Pretty crazy that all the 50 calibers on this plane would slow it down when fired
put flaps to down till they fully extend then return it to neutral. respect the hydraulics lol
Nice
Thank you and more power to your Video DCS world godbless ...verry easy to be a pilot...💪💪😁👍❤️ Love from 🇵🇭

Could you please make a starting video for SU-27?
Ever think of doing a video on landing checklist / procedures?
Yep, lots of content planned
Always wondered... do jets have keys? Just a random thought i had.
I would guess they’d rely more on base security to keep someone out who shouldn’t be there. But I don’t know.

well it is now@@iridiumcaptain
@@spaghettios3151 No, it isnt lol.
Are there manuals in DCS? This guy has started up so many aircraft and I am curious as to how
yep, full flight manuals. Theres basically a textbook on how to use the A10 and all of its systems.
If you really had to start in a hurry would you have a faster way?
besides doing the same procedure just faster, no.
F15 next please
Wait for the Strike Eagle. The F15C is not high fidelity so it is mainly start and stop engines. But a high fidelity C model would be nice.
Would be the easiest start tutorial though 😅
Turn on battery turn on engine. Easiest jet to start in the game
That's all?
My thoughts exactly.
All steam gauges with no IRS. Do they make you calibrate the attitude and heading indicators or do they just work?
They just work
There's no "Air Conditioning switch ON"?😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

It is intended to be a warplane, not a memory trick.
