I honestly wasn't planning on vidding her. I gave for granted that my proprity would have been a Otis x Maeve video, but that's not the case, clearly.
I've always liked Maeve, but what she went through during this season just made me grow more and more attached to her. Her fear of loneliness is relatable, honest and scary and I thank the writers for their honesty when they portrayed her loneliness in such a raw, realistic way.
I hope next season will be kinder to her.

For an example, when ruby asked for her help even though she has been mean and a bully to Maeve she still decided to help her. She truly does have a heart of gold and deserves everything she's ever wanted.

I can't get over how good this show is and how complicated and beautiful Maeve Wiley is, she honestly deserves the world... Happy to see such a well-made video honoring her!

The friendship between Aimee and Maeve was really pure. You can see it through Maeve's gestures and words especially when Aimee's have been assaulted in a Bus and it caused Trauma to Aimee. She even can't ride a Bus after what happened to her but because of the Help of Maeve's and other Girls, She finally face her fear and her traumatic experience.
WELL, IT'S JUST A STUPID BUS ... scenario was one of the Best Part of Season2.

i think what makes their friendship even better is knowing that the people who play them are friends as well. it just makes everything sweeter in my opinion.

She wants to look strong and I will say that sadly she manages it. That is why there isn't usually somebody there to comfort her. She doesn't want anybody to do that!🥺
I honestly need to enter just for a moment in this parallel world where Maeve lives... and hug her. I'm so so sorry 'cause life is truly hell sometimes and she is in a desperate need of being loved.

Damn! I've never watched Sex Education but this makes it seem much bigger/deeper/better than the trailers. Beautiful edit! Loved the colouring and general feel of it all.
the trailers only show the light hearted nature of the show, but it tackles so many issues and it's so diverse, give it a chance!

Everytime I watch the ten year's dream scene I tear up, it's so moving. Ideally, Maeve should have an entire show of her own, because her thoughts are too profound to be fully captured in the crowd of all the other characters. This is not to say that I don't like the other characters, but Maeve's my special one.
Maeve is the best character in the show. She has a golden heart. She tries to be as hard as she could be but she still soft inside. She deserves so much better than she has now.

I've said it before and and I'll say it again MAEVE WILEY DESERVES WAYYY MORE THAN JUST A HOUSE WITH BIG WINDOWS THAT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO FIT A KITCHEN TABLE AND 4 CHAIRS! I can not express how much I love her character. I just want her to get the ending she deserves, I really want to see her HAPPY.
this show.. this character.. it is so good. .. it makes my heart feel warm. it feels just right and bigger than life. when you watch it..it feels as if you could be a part of it. as if you really are a a part of it. i hope there will be a season 3 with a good ending.

This video just made me realize how many parallels there are about her! The melody fits this so well and also, the way the colors come in when she's more hopeful, you really did a great job! Definitely one of the best videos I've seen of this series and obviously the best video I've seen about my lovely girl Maeve!
And this is such a wonderful and complex tribute to Maeve. Contrary to what 'drunken Otis monster' said she is actually the most selfless character and deserves the best! I like Maeve and Otis and I understand he was hurt and didn't mean that but still, I imagine how much it hurt her. Then her mom happened. I can imagine it was all too much for her.

i just hate how people always let her down when she tries to open up she tries to her walls down but once she does so, somebody tries to hurt her again she tries to give the chance to her mum and brother but they hurt her so deeply everytime they said they would change i wish i could hug her i am so sad when she has to pretend to be fierce and untearable to protect herself but she is actually a lil softie
Well edited! beautiful & heartbreaking. the issue is when people take her at face value/surface level when she literally tells people she likes complex female characters. The teacher who says she's a beautiful writer is essentially her only cheerleader/adult support. MVP teacher.
This is so beautiful, it really portrays Maeve’s story, how she’s lonely but also smart and has potential but is scared to put it to use, she’s scared everyone will let her down so she puts up a tough act even though she is tough. She deserved so much better, good job on this edit it’s so beautiful ❤️

Lo sapevo che avrei passato tutto il video a piangere e se l’obbiettivo era emozionare l’hai fatto perfettamente, ma non avevo dubbi. Hai catturato l’essenza del suo personaggio facendo collegamenti davvero bellissimi con la prima stagione. Ad alcune cose non avevo neanche pensato. Non hai dato per scontato niente. She’s a inspiration
I've seen so many Sex Ed edits and this is among the best of them! Like so many others on here, I just want to hug her tight and tell her everything's going to be alright. Really love Aimee's support and Miss Sands'. Maeve's badass exterior is her defence mechanism to fight all the pain she's been through in life and let's admit it, she's much less snappy and aggressive when Otis is around her. Yes, she yells at him for losing Elsie, but a few moments later she's telling him how much she loves him and I'm sure we all wanted that scene to end in a kiss. But let's look on the positive side. Otis WAITED. Otis helped her FIX the situation with the phone pic of Ruby in ep. 5 s01, and that episode was soooo close to ending in a kiss. Maeve LOVED the 5-year diary. Maeve LOVED the flowers, bet she'd never been given any in her life before. Maeve and Otis have a CHEMISTRY that lasts, and I'm sure it will survive the way Otis treated her so badly at the party. (I still HATE him for this) Let's have some lovely scenes in season 3 that will help CLEAR Maeve's head so she can concentrate FULLY on not messing any more stuff up. Watching season 2 has been quite stressful/emotional/heartbreaking for me, so I always turn to Ruby and Otis in ep. 7 s02 for comic relief. Last thought: how many times throughout series 1 and 2 have Maeve and Otis actually TOUCHED each other? We need so much more in season 3. :-))

this is amazing... Maeve Wiley is clearly the best character of the show, and even if I like Otis and I love Jackson, I don’t think she belongs with either of them. I think the deserves so better... She is brave, smart, interesting beautiful, but hurt, so hurt, broken but still standing and fighting.
Agree, she is a warrior who is struggling and trying to fight the injustices of life. Now she might not be winning but she will have her comeback✊

i cant get over this show. i cant get over that the fact maeve has been hurt a lot of times and the only time she messed up was with otis. isaac needs to stop getting in maeve’s business because maeve loves otis, and isaac is trying to stop that, and that’ll just hurt her more, cause she isnt aware that otis likes her back. im not saying that shes always getting hurt by other people, but not just other people even otis hurts her a lot of times. i feel so bad for her character cause all she wanted was otis and isaac is trying to stop from letting that happen, which is stupid cause maeve deserves the world and deserves otis too. i just hope maeve can revive that voicemail, and isaac can stay out of their business.
