Just excellent. I've wanted to play this correctly for 50 years! :) For some reason I think it's one of the prettiest melodies I've ever heard and it was basically Paul 'tuning' his equipment. :) Quick story: I was driving back from Tucson to Phoenix, AZ in my Miata with the top down, cold with the heat on full and a blanket across my knees. A billion stars out and this song came on the radio...and after it finished there was a complete minute of silence. Which for radio was an eternity. And I knew she had passed away. Come to find out later she passed at her Tucson ranch. Probably just a few miles from where I was. It was a very moving for me. :)
+Las Vegas Guitar Studio Can you teach BlackPool Sometime?. Its actually a unreleased song, he played it on his backyard tapes in 1974 and Somewhere around 2005 in Abby road studios
I can give you some quick tips on this one. The main part is blues in A where you barre it with your first finger and add the note on the 4th fret 4th string and bounce back and forth on that, then bend the 3rd fret 6th string before going to E and doing the same pattern up a string, now in E. The second part is F#7 (2423xx), B7 (x2424x), E7 (0201xx), A7 (5756xx i think?), times 2. It ends on A6,9 (xx7677).
great video. I would second that vote on blackpool. Especially Paul's 1974 "backyard tapes" version. it's only a couple chords (A and E, mainly) but he really embellishes it with some cool blues licks.
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it. As far as choosing which songs to make videos of, sometimes I will do an obscure song or a 'deep cut' and very few people will watch it, plus I am getting more and more requests that I cannot possibly handle, so unfortunately I have to start making decisions like that, but I agree it is a cool song.
