The v&h stainless sounds better than any other exhaust for cam'd Sportys. The quality, sound and power it creates is actually crazy. The sound comparrison from stage 1 to stage 2 cams was night and day. It went from sounding really good, to sounding like an absolute screaming banshee. It is so clean in person, it really has to be heard in person to appreciate it! Cams Vinny, cams.
Check out the vid on my page....I vinyl'd the tail light bezel and deleted the turn sigs and got covers for them. Currently running the Bassani Radial Sweepers Awesome bikes....the V&H sounds great.
My buddy has a TBR Comp S 2-1 on his Softail street bob, and I have the V&H Stainless 2-1, and at idle the V&H is quite compared to the TBR but when riding the V&H makes amazing power through all RPM and sounds incredible with no raspyness. It is just a clean, beautiful sound. I have a video or two of mine on my channel but the videos don't do it proper justice!
I’ve got the same set up with the v&h stage 2. I noticed a changed on sound from stage 1 to 2. I think I liked it better as stage 1 but it has gotten better as I ride it more.
I said the same thing only the other way around. I have a 2018 sporty with the stainless upsweep and when I put the fueling cams in it made it absolutely crazy. It sounds 100000x better and it sounded wild before!
Yea I don't think they make this v&h in black. Been searching for this on their site to find it. They do have an older model of this one that does come in black but the end of it is different. Maybe in the near future. Love the channel keep it up!
The Upsweep & Sound on the V&H sounds better, the upsweep will give more Ground clearance as well , although The V&H sould have been in Black. Perhaps the stainless pipes would have looked better with the Silver LowRiderS ??
@@jaybee5919 That's so weird - I called them the other day (Jan '22) and the rep said it was coming out THIS summer. Your post is from '21 and that never happened. What gives, V&H??
@@King_Moose what's crazy is the V&H website still doesn't even list it! Good call :) I literally just got my bike back from the dealer - them having installed my Stage II with the 2-1 Upsweep in Stainless Steel. In the end, I'm glad I went that way. The pipes have turned to a nice bronze, so it mimics the original look of the '18+ Fat Bob. And, the SS provides some nice contrast (I'm not 100% sold on the all-black look).
The V&H bike sounds like it is about to stall out; like it's gasping for air. But the TBR bike sounds aggressive and like it's ready to have its throttle fully opened up.
TBR for the win. Only downside is that you need to add some spacers on your right footpeg mount and it reduces the leaning angle.. Did Vinny had to do the same with the V&H?
I like the sound of the V&H but I like the look of the TBR. But you’re TBR’s sound awesome as well and I don’t like the upsweep and shape of the muffler on the V&H.
The TBR sounds way better on the Twin Cam 110. I just don't like the sound of the M8. The whirring noise of counterbalancer, and the tone isn't as deep at high RPMs as compared to the Twin Cam. The M8 just doesn't have the same throaty grumble.
To add to my comment about this video, Those exhaust are the right ones for those bikes . A two piece exhaust will not give your engine the power a two in one does. A two in one brings in a better intake by the venturi effect when one head exhaust the other pulls air in the two in one give you a better mixture of proper compression increasing the power of the bike .. This matched with the right air intake and a set of performance injectors will increase the speed and power your bike has, once its tuned , So yes it will sound cool but just the pipes alone will not increase the performance of the bike with out going the full way and changing the intake and injectors and remapping your bike. so when the man said he wants to do more but does not want to void his warranty this is what he is talking about, so read my other comment about warranty ,
I kinda like the Vance and Hines better. No offense although tbr is an awesome exhaust in my opinion when you throttle up sounds like a little bit of a tin sounding rattle
Hey man trying to decide on pipes for my first Harley and wanna know simply what is louder.I prefer the lower loudness cause I get home at 4am and just don't wanna come down my block filled corner to corner with tall buildings and wake everyone up.Also, just too loud IMO sounds bleh. Its between Vance and Hines short shots and the TBR 2 or 2into2 vs 2into1.
Short shots are way too loud, I ditched my short shots for the v&h stainless 2-1 and it is amazing. If you want to cruise and not wake everyone gear up and drop the rpm and it is quite pleasant, drop a gear or two and hit it and you will wake everyone in your state lol
Sorry buddy, the vance and hines stainless looks awesome....actually, on the dyno the bassani pipe made more torque than the tbr does....blackheads channel revealed that, but I don't give a crap about dyno numbers, look how bad ass the upsweep is on the vance& hines is...as well as the stainless
Question: I picked up the 2020 Streetbob ,had a 2010 roadking, but because of recent spine surgery I needed a lighter bike. I picked it up in December, and couldn’t ride(cause of the surgery) so I’ve been just looking at it for a couple months. Last couple Saturdays I’ve managed to get some miles in, not a lot,3 times out and I only have 114mi on the bike. But man does the motor get hot!!! And it has a whining sound when riding.... does yours do that? Is this normal for the new motor? Bike is soooo easy to handle, and fast, but after a few miles the heat is brutal(I live in a hot state also, which makes it worse) I researched, but nothing really answers my question
I have the FXBB Street Bob as well, bought in 2018. Do the Stage 1 and the sound will change, basically sound the same as this chap's Lowerider S as it's an M8 through a TBr (which is what I put on), you are gonna love that bike. As for the heat I don't find it too bad compared to Twin Cams so can't help on that one. The 107 gives more torque low down than the 114 so you'll have great fun when your back is better, at the higher end the 114 pulls through the range harder than the 107 so the difference is where you play in the range. Hope you're better soon mate, best wishes.
3 Percent Mick I have a 19 st. Bob. I was told if I change my header pipes I would void my warranty. So I put on V&h slipons on. Sounds good but WTF 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@peckharris3180 I'd say find a new dealership. I've heard of that before but never actually seen it. Or maybe talk with the service manager and hear it from his mouth.
Fuck Warranty ! I would toss those Harley parts in a heart beat ! You would not need a warranty if Harley parts were not junk ! I am talking about the engine internal , I would go with the two in one if my bake did not have it , but I would recommend a manowar Compensator and do a performance clutch basket with it and put in aftermarket performance cams right away with a better primary chain adjuster because the engine is solid but all of those parts are not and they break while under warranty and you just get the same shit installed and it breaks again . Put better parts in out the gate and you will never see the dealer again warranty or no warranty. I Buy bikes and rebuild them to what I want right away to skip the bullshit of being broke down on the side of the road , So its important to know Harley wants to make money off you after your warranty is up, most of their bikes have parts they know will break down and they know that most people don't have time to put those miles on the bike while under warranty so they break just after the warranty is up for most , only a few riders who just ride in any weather every day will break down under warranty and Harley is ok with that since they make their money off the majority . Manufacture of all mechanical machines make a certain parts to break down on the new equipment because they are in the business of making money and if they sell you something that does not ever break down once they sell you that than it will be the last time they make money from you. Even if your still making payment and you void your warranty the finance company could care less and even if they repo your bike with all that hardware on it , Harley will take it back put their warranty on the bike same as before they just take off the mapping device you probably have on it at this point and resell it as a custom bike for even more than you paid for it because you upgraded the bike and the guy who buys it next gets that same warranty. So if your like me and like high performing bikes and cant stand the way a stock Harley rides than just do it ! make your bike Yours ! Like Bikers have been doing since the 1950's ,, Remember folks Harley 's are great bikes but Harley has a bottom line they need to hit to stay in business that's why they break down so they can sell parts to make that money! If you are someone who is ok with a stock Harley and don't mind it , You don't have to worry because most guys like myself will not leave you stranded on the side of the road and we will pull over to help you get it going enough so you can limb your bike to a shop and buy those new parts again. or you can do your research and find a good bike mechanic and upgrade your bike so you know in your mind when you get on it to go to Sturgis your going to get there and home again because your bike has those quality after market performance parts that replaces the ones that are well know to break down in a Harley after so many miles. I hope that my advice reaches new Harley owners , I have owned many of them and have been riding them for 40 years now and I know most mechanics would agree with me. Stay cool ride safe and enjoy the ride!

how was the install with both header pipes being forward instead of one rear?
The rear shock is a huge improvement 🤘⚡️🤘 I like the TBR sound better.
👍🏽😎 yea I plan on getting mine in a few months.
MarvelKid87 I put the heritage shock in works great for 450$. Lol
The heritage or the fatbobs!! They’re the same
Alex great question I’m not sure. Mine was the heritage shock.
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C sorry haha it wasn’t a question!! Both the heritage and fatbob have longer shocks!!! The only two softails
I like the sound of the TBR at idle better!

The V&H have more equal length header pipes so will likely produce more equal back pressure and therefore more power & torque.

V&h sounds deeper like when you're on the road "cough cough, hey i'm here" where as the tbr sounds so aggresive its like "yo! Gtfo of my way!!" 😅
You can see the moment that dude just realized he was about to spend another $1300 on a new pipe lol

TBR 👍🏻
Nice comparison. Do you have the performance gains on both for those exhausts?
Dope bikes!!!
Still like the TBR it think. That loud idle gurgle can’t be beat

Yea I know. It’s intended to be a quieter and smoother engine
On the comp-s If you want less rasp and race bike sound you can pack your baffles.
VH exhaust is good only if it didn’t have the crappy whistle sound at the end like it has asthma. TBR all the way !
I’ve been told my many dealers that a full exhaust swap will break warranty lol
Man the TB sounds much nicer man gives it a more aggressive sound sounds like it's going to eat the road 😂😂👍
