Have the 2021 purple 240 1 piece. Absolutely love it. Wondering if the 2022 version is any different. Thanks for reviewing this bat. Fat Guy BP did a review on this and he and his friends loved this bat.
Haven’t hit this one yet, but quite simply, if the sweetspot is that small, it doesn’t replace the Tantrum line. The rediculous sweetspot on the Tantrums is their strongpoint. IMO anyway. Curious to see how this opens up after a few hundred more cuts!
I agree, the small SS definitely takes it out of the Tantrum level of things, and the performance was great on that smaller spot, but the Tantrum was still better.
I'm About 200-225 swings on mine with the hard stuff. I have a hard time not finding the sweet spot. We hit it back to back with one that was out of the wrapper the other day and I realized how much of a change the 200 or so swings have made. At the $80 they can be had for and they're returnable. I don't see a better deal for a bat to beat on in BP through the winter and come out next spring with a gamer 240 or a 23-24 Easton return . Reminds me of the OG thumbprint Eastons 100h, St100, 100w, Sv100 Just kept getting better the more you hit them. We also hit the 2 piece loaded 13" Fireflex (Blue/Red) out of the wrapper and It opened up a lot quicker than the 1 piece.
I’m a line drive hitter with the occasional HR and I have the 2021 purple FF 2022 yellow FF and tantrum all 1 pieces. For my swing the 2021 purple fits me better and it swings light and smooth almost like a balanced bat.
I got about 300 swings on mine and it’s 🔥 not hot like the tantrum maybe like 200 cuts more it will be filthy , nothing wrong with breaking in a bat, it’s been worth it with this one !
@@TheBPHero My mens league is wood bat only and no corndogs. So far my favourites are Easton Maples and B45 Birch. The bamboo really sting the hands even if you hit the sweet spot. Kind of like petting a snake's belly.
They should be firesticks since they drop from around 280 compression to 196 in a couple hundred swings. That’s what I saw in Fat Guy BP’s video at least.
I've had mine for like 2 months and I've been impressed with it this far it hasn't opened up yet but I've been hitting backside with it and its been good so far. I'll be buying an extra one thats forsure
I’m so confused as to why the tantrum is talked about like it’s Gods gift to softball. If it’s not holding compression then what use could it possibly have to the community. Idk why anyone would want a bat to swing in local tourneys and then something different for compression testing tourneys… that makes zero sense to me.
People that play where there is testing probably aren’t swinging them. But if you’re in a situation where testing is irrelevant (which I genuinely feel like is 90% of this community) then why not swing one?
The majority of sales for the Tantrum are probably just players from weekly beer leagues where testing isn't utilized. Easton knew what they were doing.

would you preffer this one more or th 2023 DeMarini Vanilla Gorilla more
VG is what I’d go with. While the VG doesn’t have the biggest sweetspot ever, it definitely has a bigger and one and is more forgiving than this bat.
thank you@@TheBPHero
Own both a 1 piece Tantrum and this FF 240...Tantrum is better but the 240 is still a good bat once broken in
Cost for performance definitely goes to this model. The Tantrum prices are kinda crazy....
It's like the 2021 purple. Takes time to break in but absolute gas.
As a sleeper bat, I would say it's 240 version of the Combat TPE years ago.

Would you say buying it now and breaking it in with batting cage balls is ok or bad for it ?
I don’t normally recommend cage balls for bats. Really hard on them
@@TheBPHero thanks
Tantrum one piece reissue tomorrow 10am.
I saw that!
Yup picked up a few more

I kind of suspected it was on the verge of changing gears, but we were on a time crunch. I’d love to revisit one of these with 5-600 swings on it
Awesome review like always,
Have you tried the 2021 Easton FF 240 color purple ?
I have the 2021 as well and I love it.
I haven’t tried the Purple one. Anything we’ve tried is posted on the channel

Got maybe 150 swings in and it’s opened up big time for me huge sweet spot maybe it depends on the bat
Probably just stronger than we are! 🤣
@@TheBPHero nah man lol
@@viciousassassin669 hey man, take the hype! We hype everyone up around here! 💪
@@TheBPHero I appreciate you guys tho!
You got me to buy one. 99 bucks is hard to pass up.
Can’t lose!
got one for $80 with promo code

100% agree about nothing wrong with breaking in a bat. One of my age old sayings…. A little BP never hurt nobody!
Its actually a 12in barrel loaded not a 12.75. 12.75 is the tantrum 1 piece
If you can't go with the tantrum I'm going with the
💯 Eastern Thing💯
I enjoyed the Easton Thing. I am kind of surprised they didn’t catch more hype last year.
I normally swing a wood bat so that sweetspot would be about the same as I'm used to. When I go to coed and get to use comps I feel spoiled.
I do enjoy that bp tactic… really teaches you to appreciate striking a ball well

I have seen some guys hyping them for sure. Probably won't be doing that one though.
Seems good off of the barrel.
Was a nice surprise for sure! Wasn’t sure what we were going to get going into it

Yeah exactly. Louisville and Anarchy keep compression and you're not gonna tell me the Tantrum is much better

@@TheBPHero is it really much better than a Genesis?
@@CarteWork it’s honestly in its own category of good.
But even knowing that, I could swing a Genesis and feel at no disadvantage.
