Yeah, so many horror shorts just go to the jump-scare, and there's nothing really 'scary' about them. This one had an actual story, and was done well...
Why just get out from the window?
It doesn't matter how she exits the house, the monster will still be there waiting for her. But this is a fictional short horror film shot in 1 day, and not all possibilities can be explored in a 5 minute story.

Hello. Me being in the seventh grade, thirteen, doesn’t leave me with a lot of say. I just wanted to express how well this turned out to you guys. The acting’s outstanding. The creativity levels are really just off the chart. The story, the tech, the set are all just extraordinary! I’ve been doing musical theatre and plays for only about five years. Within these five years have given me enough knowledge to know this is an outstanding piece.

I loved it. I hate to be one of those, "You should have" guys, but it would have been much better if, when the husband opened the door, he saw the darkness INSIDE and the creature coming towards him.
You'll have to forgive me. I have a ton of story ideas in my head, yet I'm too lazy to write them. So I really don't have any right to impede on someone else's story that has actually come to fruition.
All that aside, consider me subscribed.

Word Unheard I’m not sure if that would have been the best idea...but it did need a twist. Something unexpected. Instead...what happened is what she feared. What was his perspective?
Is the color of her shirt a thing? Like it can't be so unimportant with light and dark and the day or night outside...I feel like it would make a difference if she had picked the dark shirt but I can't really explain it. It's a great story and an amazing idea, well done I really like this
Ahhh I’ve heard of people having phobias of going outside. That’s what I automatically thought.
Wow, i feel you not only achieved a great (scary) short story, but in fact a bizarre new concept not yet explored. The reality disparity between scenes creates inner tension in the viewers and never lets the plot "just settle", as it normally happens with 90% of these shorts (most still good, but eventually clichet and preditable, given that we have pretty much seen it all by now). *This one,* however, was far from clichet. It was great!
Ps: loved how it started with a "give-away tip" of the duality between white and black (as light and darkness) when she was getting her shirt, since that was what the plot was about anyway.

I do normally go checking, combs through the whole channel to see what’s available and also if there’s other movies in. It’s the first time I’ve subscribed without checking whatsoever simply based on the HQ of this particular short. Keep it up with this good job. I’m quite speechless

Ok good filming, good acting, a very original and shocking idea, no stupid tension music, no jumpscares... now this was good horror. What a rarity!

She was so anxious, trying to be the perfect mom and the perfect wife. Sometimes we get rid of anxiety by singing, or walking or eating, and sometimes anxiety gets rid of us, in the dark roads of...the Twilight Zone.
Very well done! Love the twist on unexplainable terror vs hallucinations. You left the resolution up to each viewer.
Four minutes and fifty nine seconds....unbelievable. Akuma Films made an incredibly original and scary video that was short and not a second longer that it needed to be. The acting, the story line, the suspense, all fantastic. Well done! Oh, and the monster was pretty good, too!

Well, I´m gonna to be honest... When i saw this on my recommended videos i was like "- hummm a short horror movie, mehhh, another one like so many others". But let´s take a look and... Wow, for a short movie it´s way better than some movies with 90 minutes. I really enjoyed guys. Good story, good acting (yup she really can deliver to the viewer her emotions). First time I've seen a film from you guys and I was not disappointed. I found it quite disturbing personally. No way to get out and no one to help her. Completely alone with no one who would understand. Frightening. I had night terrors as a kid and remember seeing stuff no one else saw or could understand. It scared the crap out of me lol.
I look forward to seeing more from Akuma Films. :)
Yes, night terrors are very real. My 6yo daughter used to get them as a toddler and wake up a nervous wreck!

That was a really great concept. For some reason it reminded me of "Between the Minute and the Hour", although there's not much similar besides the world being a different reality outside of your door.
Anyway, really well done! I was hoping for a bit more explanation, but I thinks that's just a sign of what a neat concept it is. It would be cool to see in a longer piece.

This is a good one, the director knows how to develop tension, and the actress is really good, she just needs to learn how to produce a tear or two.

Sth tells me that the monster is the vengeful spirit of the mother of the child that Helen and Jordan were about to adopt. She doesn't want her son/daughter to be taken away so she decided to come back to life as a ghoulish creature to kill the foster parents one by one. Helen was first and now Jordan is next in line.
