The only mystery for me left is: how does the owner still allows Oluv in? 😂
I don’t think it’s a direct potential customer elimination, cause people, who listen to Oluv, won’t consider buying one of these 1k+$ nevertheless, but still 😅
I think he did sneak up during the night, no other chance at all :D :D
Maybe the owner is smart enough to recognize that audio preferences are subjective and just because Oluv doesn't like most of his inventory doesn't mean he will go out of business.
@@georgestephenopolous5508 that is an absolutely right call. With the amount of self-deceptive shit-consuming “audiophile”-claim-to-bes existing, this business’ll never go extinct, including retail of course
The owner is smart. Let's say it was proven that ALL $$$ were bullshit. There will always be a market for $$$ headphones. I myself am still tempted after what I have learned. I bet you that shop has an increase in traffic since Oluv's videos.
The Gordon Ramsay of the headphone world
haha good analogy 😂
The FREQUENCY RESPONSE IS RAWWWWW!
-What are you?
-An idiot V shaped boomy and sizzling sandwich.
I want him to review a Sivga Robin so bad lol
Kinda...
I see him as a slightly pissed off frequency Guru that makes his followers ascend to a higher audio fidelity.
Oluv is inadvertently funny. He is so soft spoken that when he starts to swear you can see an artery popping off out of his frustration :D. Again, great presentation. As i said in the other video you really need to bring in the holy trinity of cheap headphones along their simple upgrades. Koss KSC75, Porta Pro and KPH30i(K), get them Yaxi pads, the Geerkia pads for the Grado and make a presentation as they are out of the box and with the new pads on. I am 100% sure you will love at least one of them in one version.
He is doing it on purpose, filling a much-needed niche of the "objective" reviewer while everyone else is a pushover who goes any headphone can be good if u like it haha xD but only if it is popular and cost thousands, oluv goes the opposite and champions low-end stuff that has Harman characteristics while dabbing on high-end, "unique" headphones. I hope to see oluv eventually listen to the Sennheiser HE-1 because it is both extremely expensive and also very well-tuned to Harman, it will probably be an excellent rant lol
kph30 very good bass. tightest I heard. their driver must be very strong. btu stiff earcups. if they make it more articulate and different pads and perhaps increase heights clarity or crispness they might become "classics". btw I heard they differ based on color too, their sound I mean.
@@martinkulik9466 I own both colours (I have the grey and got the white and blue for my daugther) and I can't hear any difference in sound. For the money they are awesome.
@@georgestephenopolous5508 Nah, he is legit even if preference and age plays a part. I own gear from really cheap to modestly expensive and can attest to what he is saying.
Wow, that Anker really sounded most natural/balanced out of the bunch. You have a great recording setup to easily reflect your experience through some studio monitors at home.
T-800: “I need your clothes and headphones”
LOL
"I could demo all of these headphones" Yes, please, that would be amazing!
I think Oluv has reached the age where his just a grumpy old man who’s not satisfied with anything 😂😂😂. Love your videos Oluv!
😂
He is right about everything though. Modern consumer headphones are "shit". They are too boomy, with no treble resolution, and no long term enjoyability.
it's not bad to have high standards when you are a man that likes to play with material you know lol. it's the same how men judge women on their appearance.
Is it bad that im 17 and already like this 😅 my bank account hates me
calling out bullshit when you see/hear it , standing your ground and providing reciepts is considered "old" now ? Mkey. Fuck being young then.
I'll take "grumpy" over forced/faked positivity for the sake of mass appeal at any given day.
Meanwhile Andy is crying in the background
😂😂😂
Andy?
@@zzemi99 The shop owner.
Tears of joy. Despite conventional thinking, I bet you his shop has had an increase in traffic due to Oluv's free advertising.
Almost like there is no bad press in the audiophile world.
Well, I’ve checked twice now, and I prefer the Shure - not too boomy and nicely detailed. But then, my ears are almost 60 yrs old. 😅 Thanks for the insight Oluv! 👍
Yes, I, too, liked Shure.
However, a hypothetical model that sounds like a "middle ground" between Shure and his Anker Q30 would be my favorite. Q30 missed some details in the upper-middle and Shure had a bit too much of it for my liking. Most of his other test subjects - totally agree, too much boom and mud or too much "punch-in-your-face" upper mids.
At least, my current DT880 Pro is good enough for me to hear Oluv's tests and to be able to agree with most of his conclusions 😀
I recently bought the Shure and I like them. Don't have much to compare them too though to be honest.
Thanks for your honesty Oluv. I've always really appreciated your channel.
hey having an audio shop in your local area is a gift for all who value good sounding audio gear, treat Andy well, maybe buy some eartips from them haha
Goosebumps when I see a new video from this boutique. Thank you Oluv. Please keep doing this reviews, the best from YT! (listening through my earfuns 😁)
I'm legit blown away at how natural, rich and detailed and the Anker Soundcore Life Q30 sounds compared to the others (listening on my HD6xx and AD2000x). Absolutely getting a pair.
but keep in mind the build quality
Also he EQed them right?
@@Terra101 yes, default sound of Q30 is terrible
Not really. Q30 sound good Only on Bluetooth and even then some bass is crashing/distorting in mine. They have amp inside or chip that makes difference. On cable they sound dull as hell. Superlux 681 Evo better for cable.
Btw listening this in both Beyer dt770 80ohm, Superlux 681 Evo and Shure sonic 50 sounded much better than q30 to me. more detailed crisper sound and as mentioned I have q30.
More videos in the boutique! I really enjoy them.
The audiophile world is a hobby world, and people don't seem to be looking for the natural sound you are. It is a strange alternate reality which each component, the headphone, DAC, amp, and even wires, are perceived to alter the sound to a person's liking. (Rather than having a headphone that produces the desirable sound and having other components function as accurately as possible).
All while underappreciating the most important component of all of these perception - the human brain, which alters the sound through motivated reasoning, expectation, and other placebo effects. All of this on top of the normal anatomy and physiology of each person, which tends to adjust to how a sound is perceived over time.
Then we get to the consumer market and product marketing, which adds more to the confusion. It is more obvious than ever that even professional reviewers are inaccurate when talking about sound most of the time. So we are left with endless iterations of heaphones, which are marketed and promoted as improvements each time, but the changes are really up, down, and sideways, with only slight improvements over time, and many of these are technological ones.
every existing hobby on this planet is about pissing contest on who's got the best most expensive gear
@@automachinehead Yeah, but there is confusion about what is best, so they are mostly swayed by what seems impressive, and therefore expensive.
@@ccbowers I couldn't agree with you more
Well, if no one is holding these companies acountable for thier terrible tuning, then why are you paying top $$ for such headphones? build quality for 1,000$$ headphones?? pfff
the Anker Soundcore sound objectively better than any of those ones he tested, yet they're cost wayyyy less! These so called high end companies are taking people for a ride.
@@thailandstreetscenes The trouble is that people are so willing to believe nonsense. For the most part, it's not a question of fraudulent business practices (that exists but isn't the main issue) that need to be stopped. The issue is a hobby that is an insular community with their own set of "facts" which are often detached from reality, and people not just fooling themselves, but often thinking themselves superior for knowing about these nearly meaningless issues. This isn't primarily an issue of companies behaviors that need to be held accountable
Always love your videos Oluv. I also own many headphones in different price ranges. It’s difficult to pick a favorite. Everyone of them got their pros and cons.
These videos are amazing! I just found this channel, and it's so cool to actually hear so many different headphones with such good recordings. This would be the dream!
Fantastic channel! But there are 2 points of view. We need to remember that 90% of headphones in price range 8-5000 dol are not reference headphones. They are vastly tuned to have character, to engage the listener and to draw him into the music. To reproduce bass slam, to create artificial stage (staging in headphones will always be artificial, there is no other way other than tricking your ears to create this impression of an airy stage) Headphones with flat response are mainly for studio purposes- sound engineers, producers etc. For example the Meze Empyrean has similar tuning to the headphones like Skullcandy. But the level of the sound within similar tuning is waay higher. So its not like the most expensive headphones will have flatter fruequency respose. They will just play this unsteady frequency response with more elegance, depth, clarity, better staging. We can like it or not but thats the way it is.
Love your reviews, no nonsense and just saying it as it is!
I am happy to see, that you two finally collaborated :)
I feel like my ears are evolving for critical/clinical listening. When the video was playing the Anker Vs. DT1770 PRO, I said "Why is it so boomy?" Oluv takes off the DTs and asks "Why it so boomy?" FUCK YEAH I THOUGHT I ALWAYS HAD BAD EARS
Oluv must be included in a witness program! The headphone companies will hunt him down!
my thought, how is he still alive
I really do like this idea, I'd be there listening to them all of I could. It gives a really good first impression of tuning and sound to compare to. You can almost instantly tell if a headphone is up your alley with it's tuning or not. Distortion and impulse response and such can't be judged so much over UA-cam anyway but the first thing you notice right away is always the tuning, and you seem to have the best binaural recording I've seen on UA-cam in general. Second best to hearing it in person.
His recording is not remotely close to accurate unless you EQ your headphone to a equal loudness frequency response, which is flat across the whole frequency
if not, the treble boost/peaks will be significantly amplified. I think everyone should be aware of that
@@brianyau9812 Even without EQ, I know how my headphones sound after hundreds of hours of listening, and I can reference against their sound. The Hifiman 400i wasn't too far off either way, even if I can hear the funkiness in the mid-treble.
When I saw Grados listed in the description, I knew this one would be gold.
I personally thought the Shure Aonic 50 sounded the best of this line-up, preferable to the AEON 2 Closed to my ears. It just has some bass bleed into the mids as well as some recessed upper-mids, whereas the AEON 2 Closed sounded hollow with an unnatural resonance in the sibilance region. I still wouldn't take either of these over an HD 600, but that seems to be the unfortunate reality of the headphone market.
the Shure sounded better than his Q30
The Shure have too much V sound for me, way too splashy
I dont think Oluv is sponsored lol, no one would have done this so hot and fast. Doing this shows loyalty only to honest sound reproduction!! I appreciate it and thank you for confirming the suspicions I was forming about audio devices in general. The Q30 sounded comically good knowing how cheap they are. The grado were hilarious and exactly what id expect from looking at the FR charts! Terrible!
I have been thinking of buying a pair of Grados for a long time to see how they sound, and I'm so glad I ducked that bullet holy shit
How can the high end sound so bad on those AEON 2s ? Sounds like they threw in a couple of notch filters and then peaked it around 3k, its weird .
man , you are epic !!

Are these the Grado Wireless V1 or V2? They used DSP correction with the V2 and a newer bluetooth module…
The black aeon 2 (Aeon 2 Noire) has a slightly different tuning and different pads than the regular aeon 2 closed, many people find them quite a bit better, more fun sounding. Closer to the Harman Target (I have never heard them before, but I would like to)
Love all your reviews
It’s absolutely incredible how great the Ankers sound, especially when you consider the price
I know. amazing that they sound better than a $1,000 headphone!
just goes to show that these so called high end companis are taking people for a ride and laughing all the way to the bank
Just remember they are EQed
How do you compensate these recordings, do you just subtract the optimum hifi curve? Would it sound correct if you left them raw and used a headphone that was measurably flat rather than following a target curve?
he records a HD600 EQed to flat with Sonarworks and EQ the recording till it sounds jsut like the original song on the HD600. He then applies this compensation EQ to all recordings.
oluv ure the best man! Greetings from Greece! We need more videos like this! Speak the truth my man! God be with you!
Right there: The perfect salesman for the "Kopfhörer Boutique" !!!
Thanks for the video.
Hey Oluv, love your videos. Have you ever discussed the Etymotic ER2SE in a video?
What would be your recomendation for upgrade after the 6xx? Now that your elexes broke on you? I've recommended the anker q30 to a lot of my friends and they are realllyy happy. They sound amazing
Maybe look at the Q35's or th Q45's? they're suppose tobe even better than the Q30's I've yet to hear them myself.
Guten Abend Oluv.
I liked the DT1770, its slightly muffled and the bass is boomy but detailed, it has a warm cozy sound.
I think he would have prefered them with the velour pads. I admit I dont like my pair very much with the stock pleather pads that where fitted here. Waaaaay too much bass.
I tried the open backed version and found it much less boomy so it's a shame he only did the closed backs here
Nicely Done.
I didn't know oluv had a sense of humor.
Product placement in the first 10 sec.
I am looking for a new headphone right now, my AKG K601 broke unfortunately.
Is there something on the market right now with a similar tuning?
Funny intro.. 😁... I agree with what You think about these headphones! .. and I have a question..... Q 30, or Audio-technica ATH-M 40x? 🤔- for audio/ sound comparison on UA-cam... Thanks!🤗
Purely judging by sound quality . Which is the best between AKG K361 wired vs Anker Soundcore Q30 (with User Eq) ?
LMAO just roasting this dudes entire business.
More like the brand's. All of them garnered a spotlight in mainstream headphones so it makes sense why he'd buy them
For those curious, the song starting at roughly 15:45 to 16:00 is "Coming to get ya" by Princess Freesia. Thought I'd toss it out there as its a good track.

Oluv thank you so much for your honesty and spectacular content I just found you channel and I’m currently on a binge watch hope to see more of this !
The shure ionic is my idea or are the most neutral of the bunch?, quite good but maybe not worth the price.
Thanks for going all 'emperor's new clothes' on currently-hyped headphones, oluv. The bass on some of those headphones was so buzzy it sounded like it was made on an old Casiotone keyboard! There's more to accurate bass and treble than just cranking up the V-curve, but I guess maybe that's what people are used to nowadays.
By the way, I listened to the tests on a modest pair of audio technica ATH-611s that I nabbed on eBay for just £13. Seems folks had a better idea of balanced sound in 1990, before Beats came along!
You are the one and only super headphone user and reviewer.
Try the Hifiman Ananda oluv, would love to see that.
Agree, hope he do
He won’t like them
Wo kann ich nochmal deinen eignen EQ für den Soundcore Q30 finden?
The reaction to RS1e is priceless 🤣
Hey Oluv , The Red one is Aeon closed 2 , the Blue one is Aeon closed 2 , they sound absolutely different . If you see black one is Aeon 2 Noire (closed ) , whick sounds close to Aeon closed 2 . The Red and Black cost 900$ and have 4K dip and 6K peek /
The Blue one is Aeon closed is the oldest model costs 500$ sounds most natural ( no 6k peek ), i advise to check next time .There is probability you will like and be satisfied .
I have been following this channel for quiet some time now, and although I am listening your videos through a 30$ gaming headset, I can clearly understand what you are talking about, compared to all other headphones the life q30 sounded less bassy and overall more deatailed, some of the first headphones where really harsh while the others where just pure booomy bass except the shure one. Although I am not interested in buying any of the headphones, you just make it obvious that we shouldnt trust anyone we see on the intenet !
This was one of those videos were I wanted you to try "all" the headphones. Your microphones do a fantastic job picking out the nuances of each set of cans. I'm listening through a pair of Philips X2HR, and love these headphones! I could easily tell wish headphones sounded boomy/muddy and which had strange treble. Because your microphones do such a good job, I can hear a pair of cans, that I would never be able to hear, otherwise. Many of the stores around here do not have displays, or if they do, over 50% of the headphones are already broken.
What I own so far..
Philips X2hr ( my favorite cans!!! )
Sony 7506 ( I know you do not like these )
AKG K712 Pro ( good headphones, but they need an amp and lack bass )
Audio Technica M50 ( older, wired model )
Audio Technica M40 ( very neutral sound, with a slight emphasis on mid bass )
Sony WF-1000XM4 ( these are my daily drivers for listening to podcasts and music when I'm out and about )

Now I know where to go when I visit Vienna. While listening through someone else's ears, microphones and comments gives a hint, there is no substitute for bringing your own ears and your own music to listen and see what you yourself like.
Unlike Olav, I am not a flat-eq man, so I suspect many of those headphones he gave a thumbs-down might sound more than agreeable to my own ears with my own preferred music. But until now, I knew of no shop with such a large array of headphones to test. Thank you, Olav, for guiding us to this head-fi utopia in Vienna.
The Sure sounded the best to me, the Anker sounded a bit hollow in comparison.
true, also dt1770 sounded great. I am surprised how much better they sound than my crappy dt770
I'm making that store a stop if ever go to Germany. I've personally auditioned some of the headphones on that list, the impression are spot on. The DT1770 sounds exactly like that and the BW is crap, just like I heard it at the store. The Aeon Closed 2 was also on my list, but that...hollowness just not for me. I'm surprised about the Shure, it's the one I like the most.
I think he lives in Austria, correct me if I'm wrong.
@@Terra101 indeed he does. probably Vienna.
I'm glad I watched this video . I was considering buying a pair of Grados but I think I'll give them a miss now and stick with sennheiser. thanks
its for hipsters nothing else
I would love to hear your opinion on the Beyerdynamic DT900ProX.
I bought these as my first Hi-Fi headphone and I am super impressed!
Also got myself a pair of HD58X Jubilee after seeing your video, but the DT900ProX arrived earlier and won my heart and ear.
I really like the HD58X aswell but the force is too strong with this one (clampforce :-D ). I am sure it will becomes less over time but will stick with the beyerdynamic anyway and resell the sennheiser.
But to be honest the clampforce of the DT900ProX is also pretty strong and needs some time to wear out.

Hmm, I have owned most of the $2000 big names and chose the Focal Elex as my main headphone and get ready for it….. Grado PS500e with flat pads. Really they are great. Worth a try lol.
My speaker rig is Revel 228be with McIntosh front end. My headphone rig is Elex/mojo/iPhone.
Really good reviews. Can you make one of Audio Technica ATH50x.
Olav, that's a great video, thank you! I encourage you to try closed back Focal Elegia and that blue closed back Aeon (it's previous Aeon model, $500). I'd say those are the most neutral closed back headphones you can find. Curious what you'd think.
I second this. Focal elegia is quite controversial.
@@Ffoo_ffighter Really? How come? They're flat af, with some minor dips in 150Hz and 4KHz.
@@diudiamoustache7765 it's a love it or hate it hp. Critics point out lack of mid bass and metallic timbre but people who like it, love it. It has a cult following. It's also $400 on adorama but they don't sell replacement pads for it anymore.
@@Ffoo_ffighter Oh, I see. I heard a lot about that metallic timbre of focals. I have heard Elex and own Elegia and I'm not sure what's meant by that term. "Lack" of midbass is like literally a tiny slope with 2db at its peak. Also, while graphs show this as a bass neutral headphone, on some tracks I perceive it as with a slight 2db boost, 'cause it pumps and kicks like nothing else I've ever heard. Plus, adding 4KHz on eq doesn't make them sound better - sound becomes tiring, like very tiring, 30 mins of listening tiring. I mean, what's got a better FR at this price?
@@diudiamoustache7765 you're right. 😎😂😆. You know how picky people can get. The elex would be my endgame except for the horrid qc issues. The elegias sound promising except for no stock pad replacement s and I don't want to have to mess with EQ with the dekoni pads.
What is this Auditory 1990 website he mentions at the start?
Whats are headphones do You REALLY recommend sound really good? :)
Sennheiser HD600 and, obviously, Anker with some EQing

GRADO is like chilli, if you put it with the right dish it will be nice but if you put it in your beer you won't like it.
Best headphones for listening to electric guitar in my humble opinion.
I don't use the top of the line in Sennheiser (BT-450) somehow I think I get a more neutral sound for voice reading/audio (audiobooks) I have to agree that the new sound that most consumers (and some younger work associates) are looking for (deep type hip hop bass sound) is what is dominant in the audio market now and that does not cover a good range of audio frequencies and sound tuning is definitely not neutral.
Yeah I kinda have come to similar conclusion. Just using HD 650 now and not bothering with anything else. Has bit warmer and bit more veiled sound than HD 600 but to me it is good enough. Beats most of the stuff on the market for sure.
Indeed. If you ever want a closed paid of headphones I can recommend the E-MU Teak. IMO they are the closest thing to a closed pair of HD-6xx series cans I could find.

Thank you for being the voice of reason of the headphone community. After a lot of wasted money and time I have found that a pair of HD 6xx's and Beyer DT 240 pro's are all the headphones I need 99 percent of the time. Both can be had for around 300 US dollar new.
Yep. And if you want a fancier-looking upgrade, the Sundara or Elex (with a decent warranty haha) works a treat, or the E-MU Teak on the closed side.

Hi, nice video.
That's remember me when I was searching headphones three years ago. All headphones sound like shit for me. Too much highs for many of them (supposed reference studio heeadphones) : DT990, AKG K702, DT770 (+ bass)... I liked the Philips X2HR but somes sibilants were very piercing. My budget was 100-200$ but I finally get the Focal Clear for 1200 bucks because it's the only one that sounds good for me. Later I tried the HD650 and I liked it too but the Clear's slam is better (and I already bought it).
Since I saw you love the Elex, I'm trust in your ears :D
Btw I'm asking how is the Elex vs the Clear....
he loves that Headset because it's very neutral under 2k. it's his taste. many like Beyers precisely because they accentuate the high frequencies. taste is taste
oh that "holy shit" .... 🤣 love you and your reviews ❤
There are only a set of headphones that are as neutral as they can and requires very little calibration for them to sound flat and they are all from the same series, that'll be the Sennheiser HD580 Jubile, HD600, HD650 and HD660s
the flat sound doesn't appeal to many people. for example I like the neutral sound from 200 Hz up, below I prefer more bass. like a Shure 1540
which is currently my favorite headset
I'm happy with the 4XX.
Its good headphone especially for the money.
would be rly interested n HE400SE VS HD560s VS HD58X VS Q30 vs some IEMS like Moondrop Aria or ER2SE :D
Yeah, I would be very interested in this comparison too, so many good budget options around!
HD560s is like any other dynamic driver in that price range. The HE400SE has planar sound but with some problems in the cymbals range. Both needs EQ. The HE400SE can be eq'd into a hole price tier higher soundwise. For gaming and comfort go for the HD560s, for planar sound with lightning speed and micro dynamics try the HE400SE. The HE400SE also needs an amp to get subwoofer bass out of them when its called for.
Comparing IEMs to headphones doesn't make too much sense.
oluv, you should try SENNHEISER PXC 550-II, i hope it's not garbage
OMG Mythbuster Oluv at it again.
Awwww so close, I was hoping to see you try the newest Grado X series like SR80x with upgraded driver.
They are supposed to sound good now.

Der Aeon Noire ist nicht gleich wie der 2 closed, der noire hat die perforierten pads.
Does the Soundcore Q30 compare to these
What do you mean ?
20:02 Nice one, people say 1more Sonoflow is a great alternative to the Soundcore Life Q30 at almost same price & has almost neutral sound, i wonder how true that is
Thanks for your wonderful work & time
Cheers!
after this video i think i understand your intentions. it is like you play the part of what at all costs wants to denigrate everything that does not fit into your own conception of listening. not only the measures but also the personal tastes count. each headset has its own motivation to exist. I love grado for exemple for their being a little rough in their approach to music. I certainly don't listen to classical music with them. but with some rock recordings they are great. I could go on indefinitely. I will continue to follow you because I agree with some of your analyzes but I am convinced that you should not pass for bad some audio objects just because they do not fit your way of approaching music.
you would never listen to a speaker sounding like the Grado. Just let me quote Mr. Sean Olive: "While most loudspeaker manufacturers today aim to achieve a flat frequency response on-axis, headphone manufacturers seem to be aiming at a target response that is as variable and random as the weather."
@@oluvsgadgetsi understand this. I use monitors to listen to music in the living room, but it must be considered that for this type of listening, however, there is a coloration based on the type of home environment and listening will always be different . in that case also I am looking for a flat frequency response but when listening with headphones for me is different .I like the sundara for example because I find it fantastic to combine with acoustic and live music , given its particular characteristic of being holographic and airy. the frequency response is not flat but i Think has been designed in this way to accentuate some of its characteristics. Sometimes it also happens to me to equalize it for rock and even just because it holds very well the eq that I like so much. Many users like a lot DT 1990 because the V-Shapes signature, even if they were mainly Created to work with them in the studio. Its strange but it is so… taste is taste😀 all of these Headphones are Garbage? Absolutely not! But I totallly agree with you that many head phones are overprice but the market at the Moment is this. 😅 peace and love Oluv
@@ProgInside83 a room mostly colors bass, it will never create some 10db peaks all of a sudden which is the case with most Grado headphones that even peak at 2k for no obvious reason.
I never said the Sundara is crap, the 2020 version is quite decent but it sounds still too harsh for me in the 5khz region. I never heard the 1990 but the 1770 was just a muddy boomy something.
Did you heard denon d7200? If yes
Which is better aeon 2 closed or denon?
They are all not great honestly.
@@oluvsgadgets what do you suggest in 600$ budget range?
@@RX-rd4scnothing if you really take sound seriously. You need to equalise them all
Too bad you didn't give the Beyerdynamic DT-1990 Pro's a listen. Maybe next time. I wonder what's your opinion on them. The stock sound may be a little bright though, so EQ is needed. Also depends if you use balanced or analytical pads.
echt geil die boutigue
my god !!
when i tried some grados (sr 60 , 80 , 125 , 325) i thought it was a joke , i also felt like they were broken or something , sounding so harsh and flat
same with the beyer with the boomy bass and harsh treble
im not even talking about those awful nura phones ( someone actually put it on some best list for MIXING !!
it happened to me with so many headphone that are considered best on so many places ( the shit they put out on what hifi is bonkers)
also with the audio technica mx 40 , which half of the world is using with almost iconic praise , to me they sounded thin and almost claustrophobic image with a strange peak in the highs
not even talking about wireless models loke the bose 700 and sony with the stupid long name scheme .... i can go on but you get the picture !!
Biggest selling headphones dt770 in all music shops to me sound like piece of hollow crap. Yet music world likes them. To me they are biggest bandwagon hype and shows how ppl convince themselves to like them coz "everyone else does" I tested them perhaps 50x and each time I was hugely disappointed. Harsh piercey treble, hollow separated bass without body. Guys buy them for studio, but funny enough you can't track, monitor or even mix in them. Well you can but they won't give you true to sound with their plastic and paper driver. The only thing they have is solid build and that's what I think they got popular... I prefer even koss30kph, superlux 681 EVO, audio Technica ar1 even all sub 50$ headphones and these bandwagons dt770 80ohm are in the box for sale coz I didn't return them on time...bottom line brainwashing through crowd marketing mislead ppl in everything even headphones
@@martinkulik9466 What is your recommendation headphones under $300? Thanks.
@@badforme5925 buy whatever headphones they recommend you. but then on top of them buy some cheap superluxes evo for 20-30$ to have something to throw around. I bought few headphones, but I am out of this game. now I only use multiple cheap headphones to listen mainly spoken word or playing piano (long time beginner)......not music....so I use superlux 681 evo, sound good but poor quality, and few others not worth to mention, but I would be just fine with apple earphones on cable that I just bought as I lost multiple. sony 650 brass earphones did better job too, but I have 6--7 headphones so can't invest more....on the contrary beyerdynamic 770 80ohm are my worst headphones and hurt my eardrum. never used them only tested them and they are in box, so must sell them. but again I don't have any high end headphones, only cheap budget that I am ok with, but my priority is good bass, which majority of audiophiles require the opposite. anyhow I stopped pursuing this, because I simply don't see what majority see. which is that beeyrdynamic 770 80ohm are great headphones,,,so, I stopped due to irreconcilable differences
