0:46 - Falling faster than you can run
6:49 - I am
12:46 - Don't get too close
19:23 - Three fingers in
25:45 - Still trying
That first tune made me cry, I’m 50, guess I ain’t so tough, it was terrific
Only the toughest can appreciate raw unwavering commitment to their trade. True artist are such a gift to our world! I thank you for going slow enough to allow it in….
Idk how this doesn't have more views
The fact that this only has 122k views after being up for this long is an absolute shame.
One of the best half hours I spent on a UA-cam video.
It's already been more than a year I met Nathaniel Rateliff's music and countless times I've heard this session; don't know why it took me so long to leave this comment here.
Thanks @Audiotree for all the beautiful music you shared throughout these years.
He just leaves me in a mindfuck. In a good way. There's so much going on here. I love it.
dont be too harsh on the interviewer, like us he is in awe of the band and actually does a great job getting some light hearted and off the wall commentary for his listeners .... the band are cool and humble, dont miss a beat and lay down some seriously mellow and smooth melodies
This session is so amazing. "Don't get too close". WOW
Got hooked on his music about a year ago. Have been ever since. Brilliant songwriter. Excellent group.
The most hauntingly beautiful song I've heard in years....falling faster than you can run. Amazing.
The first time I heard one of your songs i was puzzled, how did I miss this song, thinking it was 40 yrs old. I actually called the radio station for the first time since I was 12.
The absolute best music! The instrument sound is so rich it adds another layer of emotion.
I quite enjoy the interviewer. I like his quirky ess and the way he beams while talking to them.
And the performance of Nathaniel and the others... Wow
yup totally agree .... it is clear the guy is a genuine "fan" of the music and is filling in the gaps with enthusiasm .... i think his enjoyment actually enhances the "vibe" of the session and with nathaniel and the band's positive responses, banter and laughter it is clear everyone was having a good time ! What's not to like !
Dudes the real deal.... Beautiful songs...
This guy & his music is so cool.
its just reuploaded :)
this session was first time i met nathaniel's music and i loved it ever since
Sorry I'm late, but what a magical piece of fucking music. Greetings from Australia.
Look at those souls, old and great
Amazing song...so real.
I've watched this interview many many many times. It's real. For people of that area. You nratns are my first fav ban since MADNESS in the 80's. G.B
his wonderful vocals do not need so much processing.
so so good man
Me gusta lo disfrutare ahora que lo descubrí
You’re alright brother, it’s a great tune!
Sharon here...blessed my friend to be able to watch you in Glasgow last December 2017 . thank you all x
ARE YOU FROM THE FUTURE? :o
You got your tickets for Glasgow again ?..... l am going ye ha 😎
Love it
hes the man, that is all
Love these guys
I want to hear it solo. On this one.
never heard some of these before
Nathaniel is my spiritual animal
Dang! 🙌
Can someone please tell me his guitar set up
how about a hydraulic lift for the loading dock?
NR is awesome. Hard to take the interviewer seriously when he takes himself so seriously and rambles on. NR handles him very humbly.
He actually asked Nathaniel really in-depth questions about his writing style and the production of the music.
Most interviewers either comment on his dancing or ask why he likes Europe so much.
Not many have actually been as professional as this guy.
It's a nice change of pace.
I went to College with the host and he is one of the most authentic people I have ever encountered. He is genuinely interested in everyone he interacts with. And a spectacular conversationalist.
I don't think the interviewer is bad, he is just the DEFINITION of Quirky Hipster
Honestly fucking love the interviewer. After the session with shakey graves, I ain't ever gunna stop seeing him with a raccoon.
Love this interviewer. I've loved him in every video he's in
Hermann Camargo
'another side of life'(Fred Neil).........
Who is the bass player?
Joseph Pope III.
I believe thats his name!
Joshua - he’s not playing the bass in this session. The young girl with long black hair is playing bass.
So I guess he has some solo stuff that is more folk-based vs. Him + The NIght Sweats that is more throwback '50s Americana. True??
P.S. Telecaster Deluxe!!!!!
Stuart Godfrey. Sharon here...the Wheel is Nathaniel album. not so good but a leap to where he is now
Interviewer is awkwardly intense.
The Burl Ives voice in a newer singer.
I agree💫
music is great. interviewer is awkward/tough to listen to. Maybe he should have sat down with them for a beer before they played.
Brian Schlegel you just gotta flow the guy is quite good at giving info an asking good questions... looking into their history this is a good reference
Generally true... the but look Nate gave him when he was like, "Yeah we left baskets on door steps, knocked and ran away.." I sense that Nate had a hard life growing up. I doubt there was extra money for baskets. =P
Brian Schlegel had to be the rain..rusted his receptors lol that dude is actually cool most times
Exactly
