Omission: Though we don’t have the data, UChicago heavily admits early decision (and to a lesser extent, early action)! We estimate it's over 2/3+ (possibly even 80%) of the incoming class.
Anyway for the data set to be adjusted for QB, First Gen, Athletes , Legacies etc, rough cut off. If for example say 40% of ED is for these categories, the ratio for adjusted ED /RD would look lot different
I need financial aid as my family earn less than 5000 dollars us and i am forst generation to attend college what happens if i aget admission but they dont provide financial aod what happens if they don't cover my expense
Also, that early decision pool includes recruited athletes, questbridge, and often legacy right? So those ED acceptance rates might, in fact, be more competitive to a student who is not in one of those categories, right? Especially at Div 1 schools with strong recruiting programs or at smaller D3 schools that have a small student body but 20 varsity sports (like a Colby, Bowdoin, etc).

Thank you for the video. Do universities give scholarships to ED students?
Is this with the data for students who enrolled this fall (hs class of 2024?) or is it last year's data from the CDS?

Yes-- that's why I'm not viewing anything up to around 2x as very significant-- I want to see between 2-3x to have a real impact.
USC?
USC doesn't care about EA very much but applying EA is the only way to be considered for merit scholarships. USC doesn't reject anyone EA, only defer

Shocked UChicago isn't on the High Advantage list
It should be-- they don't release data so we forgot to include it on the spreadsheet-- but see our pinned note below!
Thought the same thing!!
