- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a widely used imaging modality for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. It is essential to understand the anatomy during a curved linear EUS examination. EUS has a longer learning curve than other advanced endoscopic techniques, and EUS training facilities are lot widely available. The long learning curve and the lack of training programs limit the interest and enthusiasm for EUS among endoscopists. The most common indication for EUS examination is imaging of the pancreas, but many endoscopists struggle to understand the anatomy and orientation of the pancreas on linear EUS examination.
This presentation was done during the on-site WISE program (winner of 2020-2022) in Seul (South Korea) in January 2024. We will discuss the challenges of linear EUS examination and how to overcome them with a station-wise approach to the pancreas.
Very educative
