  • Without an Interpreter was written and directed by Daniel Kapper during Spring 2013 to support the Northern Illinois University Disability and Accessibility Tutorial (www.niu.edu/acc.... It is one of several short videos developed by students in a media production course led by Professors Laura Vazquez and Greg Long. Without an Interpreter uses a "Twilight Zone" approach to considering accommodations. What would it be like if everyone knew and used sign language and you didn't? Who would be handicapped then?
    This video includes a second audio track that describes the visuals of the video. Special thanks to Dale Sczweck for creating the visual descriptions.
