I think it's common knowledge among the fandom at this point that Jon Pertwee hated creatures like the Daleks and the Cybermen with expressionless or the absence of faces, so the fact that he's having fun and playing along is really nice to see here. It's also neat that he watched enough of the show after he left to know about the Daleks conquering their inability to ascend stairs. I wish Jon was still alive today. He seems like such a cool person.
I love how devoted Jon Pertwee was, all the way, if he was alive for the 50th I bet he would have pressed for the classic doctors to be in the special! Bad enough they didn't do a 30th :(
I met Katy last year, and she is the sweetest, loveliest woman ever. I told her I'd always wanted to meet her, and she said the same to me, which was odd, but somehow delightful.
@William Campbell I did. A very impressive man, though the sort who soon puts you st your ease. I was a teenager in a Third Doctor costume, and he asked me who made it. "My mom," I said, somewhat awestruck. "You should congratulate her," he said.
Wow Katy was so fashion forward even then. She looks incrediable. That outfit would not look out of place or dated even today. Maybe she really does time travel.
Honestly, Steven Moffat is enough of a Doctor Who nerd that I would not be surprised if he included the bit about souffles just to reference an obscure interview with Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning.
that's pretty neat and shows how much an ambassador for Doctor Who Pertwee was as he promotes a Dalek video set he doesn't feature in- interesting clip
Jon pertwee was not a fan of the daleks . As far as dr who goes you could not have found any actor to have played the role been more passionate about the character.
Fantastic, great to see Jon & Katy again. The good old days of Doctor Who, better than the politically correct new series with it's shitty feminist agenda. From 2005 till now Doctor Who has been a fucking abomination!

She told me, after several meetings, that she thinks about me every day.
borgduck Awww!
Was the Dalek still hanging out with her?

@William Campbell So I hear! I first saw Tom Baker, but when PBS started broadcasting Jon's stuff, I quickly had a new fave.
OMG they are both so marvelous -- my absolute favorite Doctor/Companion duo. Love love love!!
jon promoting the radio series good for him lorraine has no idea what's happening

Wait a minute! A Nice Dalek? Making Souffles? Clara!
I thought the very same thing!
Ahh, the originality of Steven Moffat...
Honestly, Steven Moffat is enough of a Doctor Who nerd that I would not be surprised if he included the bit about souffles just to reference an obscure interview with Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning.
Moronic idea to upstage the two actors with that stupid Dalek prop - bring it out at the end after they’ve had a chance to speak. Director screwed up.
that's pretty neat and shows how much an ambassador for Doctor Who Pertwee was as he promotes a Dalek video set he doesn't feature in- interesting clip
After Rusty this is the most polite dalek I’ve seen to date.
A Dalek saying "I've been up all night making Soufflés" ... Clara is that you...

Yeah....particularly when it came to repeat fees....
I JUST IOVE JON PERTWEE
Mr Motivator working out with a Dalek! Superb!
Oh, my giddy aunt!!!
That Dakek working out is right up there with the most fu**ed up things I've seen in my life. Lol
But still great to watch!
Cup 'a tea and a slice 'a cake with Aunt Sally
Play this in a stereo VCR.
Oh my god that Dalek was Clara!!!!
dr who at 30.
Jon Pertwee is my second favourite doctor who and I have got spehered from space and infron and death to the daleks and terror of the alutons on DVD
Can Graham Norton say he's ever had a purple Dalek on his show?
What a wasted opportunity. Daytime TV - throw a Dalek in to say rubbish and we'll forget about the interview
Katy my first crush, a delightful lady...
Jon was larger than life.
The music do you want to funk lol
Those morphs at the start aren't half bad!
Never met Katy but I hear she's a delight ...lis sladen loved her apparently ...but I don't like daleks used as comedy props ...
The real Dr Who
Jon Pertwee looks like Margaret Rutherford there. Google her.
He's also been mistaken for Helen Twelvetrees.
I think he has a look of Joan Sanderson here..
That TARDIS exterior prop is utter shit. Looks like it is constructed out of lolly sticks and being held together with Pritt-Stick....
Loraine Kelly!

This show was weird
