Siege is one of the biggest issues in this game imo. Having dedicated anti-siege siege units that lose against other siege pretty much renders it useless, and having the pierce armour so high makes ranged units completely useless against it. I understand the devs wanted to go a different route than aoe2, but this is not the way. Siege balance is so much better in that game
