+Noobinspired Yeah I just checked for it on Steam and it has been removed from there since like 2010. I was thinking of buying it second hand for 360 but then I remembered it was also on PC. There is actually a single torrent of it at a particular bay of pirates if one is so inclined to grab it. It is also fully updated and patched.
According to my infer, game companys need to pay "show up" fee for their product/games to show up in PSN/XBL Stores. Maybe PSN/XBL are asking too much, maybe license problem, maybe its not what Sega wanted to happen. Sega Rally Online Arcade is a wonderful game that there is no reason to put it down. The control may not be the same as other Sega Rally games but its the same enjoyment and feeling after all.
OutRun and Virtua Tennis were delisted due to licensing issues (contracts with certain brands expired), so I think that the same reason happened with this game.
For reference, the PC version of this game isn't the same as the Arcade verison - the closest you can get to the Arcade port is "Sega Rally Online Arcade" from PSN/Xbox Live - doesn't look nearly as good as the real arcade machine but the actual car handling is mostly the same. The original "Sega Rally Revo" retail release for PC/Ps3/360 has massively different car handling/physics from the Arcade/Download version.
Interesting, I hadn't realised that Sega Rally Online Arcade had the exact same track layout as the arcade version of Sega Rally 3. I really enjoyed my PS3 version of SROA, but It's a real shame Sumo made it 30 fps instead of 60. It would've been well within the hardware's ability and would've really helped to have nail down that proper arcade feel.
This can be run on your pc if you know how and in glorious full 4k .I kid you not .I've got it running and can play with a stirring wheel or xbox360 controller also I've got daytona championship usa the new arcade running on my pc in glorious full 4k to .both look unreal
It will be great if able to see or even play the original arcade machine! I played SEGA Rally Online Arcade and its amazing. This game is totally underrated.
I wonder how you upload HD video like this? I got mine recorded by Fraps, same resolution, uploaded without compression but I cannot get the same quality. Can you give me some tips? Thanks!
this does look solid 60fps, I have this running with high end PC with Teknoparrot and unlike Daytona 3, Outrun2 etc this isnt silky smooth, its not 30fps, but looks more like 55FPS if that makes sense. How did you get it running soooo smooth? Other people have said the same as me, I being very very picky here I know but I cannot get this to run as smooth as the other 60FPS racers on Teknoparrot. Initial D perfect!! this one is just slightly (ever so slightly) off its missing a frame here and there
SEGA RAlly 3 is an arcade game first came out in 2008. A few years later download format is available on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Store, or Xbox 360 and PS3, under the name "SEGA Rally Online Arcade" its basically the same to SEGA Rally 3. Sega Rally Revo has a bigger world, more tracks, more variation, more cars, more durable in play time. Revo could be more difficult to drive than Online Arcade, but at least its not as horrible/hard as those rally tracks in Gran Turismo 5 or 6 I never saw people playing rally online in GT6, except just one and only one time.
This tracks are identical to those of Sega Rally Revo.. they are doing the same thing in two games. Understandable, though. SRS is down now, despite that Sega had high expectation on them. Not their fault.
No the tracks are not identical. Sega Rally 3 and Revo share the same engine and the same world, but different shape of maps. Revo has more maps and variation, Online Arcade focus on 3 main tracks.
Original Sega Rally Revo for PC is still better, 60 fps, 1080p, and better textures and lighting,.... and on top of that it has the incredible terrain deformation, handling is fine if you have 900º wheel, like a G25 or G27, I don't know why but a 900º wheel really helps with the handling issue.
+chinitosoccer1 It may well look better but I really prefer the time-attack style checkpoint-to-checkpoint style racing of the Arcade version... the rush of "can I make it?" is what Sega Rally is about. Still... considering the game isn't particularily difficult I'm dissapointed by it...
I set my Logitech wheel to 270 degrees, much like any arcade racer. Whether it's right or wrong I don't know. The handling and game seems far easier on the arcade version judging by this video. I find Revo on PC hard as nails sometimes.
You really don't need one. Sega Rally has never had rear view mirrors and neither do real rally cars (not that this is a proper rally game, but still).
Actually, you're right. I've been playing on an older version of the Model 2 emulator and it wasn't implemented then. Sorry. The older version seems smoother so that's why I use it.
@@vika0194 this is 3 years ago bro, meanwhile i strongly agree 😂 Still loving cockpit more but if im sweating in gt7 or sports back then, this was the only way to go
Maybe because UA-cam. You have to set it to 720p or up in the quality settings, or try getting the (huge though, 1GB) fully High Quality video from the description.
Sega Rally Online Arcade only ran at 30 fps which sucked, but the handling was perfect. Sega Rally Revo looks good, but the handling is terrible. I wish there was a way to play this game on the pc since I can't play the XBLA version anymore.
Well there is a PSN version you can play too. Sega Rally Revo could be better, depends on what people prefer. Sega Rally Revo is more realistic but less speed difting through corners. Sega Rally Online Arcade (or Sega Rally 3) is more fantastic with higher speed through corners. A needle cannot be sharp on both ends. Both games are highly recommended. There is no other games like that nowadays. Nowadays people only focus on how realistic the graphics and handling, I mean why don't simply drive a real car in the real world then if seeking for 100% realistic.
Sega managed to get the balance between arcade and sim perfect in the Rally series.I love these games
"You came first!"
Story of my life.
Why did Sega think it was a good idea to de-list Sega Rally Online Arcade, no wonder why the company is going downhill

Pc version of what you are referring to is 60fps where as the console versions are 30fps I play the pc version in 4k 60fps it looks glorious
you could also just download the arcade version and play it on pc
So it's essentially the same game as Sega Rally Online, just missing the remake of the original Sega Rally desert track?
better graphics also
Grandpa1986

***** the sega rally 3 for the arcade machine Europe-R

Harika bir oyun.N.F.S ye kapak olsun.
all arcade versions piss all over the home versions it's shocking how they let this happen
I thought 3 sucked compared to 1 and 2. It didn't have that SEGA x-factor.

pc-version is a smoking pile of turds compared to arcade hardware.. even on a really good system... it dont even come close to looking this good.
Looks basically the same to me... It's not the best looking game, anyway.
It's great game and great playing!
Sega knows how to make a paradisiac map
Nice driving! Just one question: was Sega Rally 3 released in arcades/amusement centers or was it just a PC/consoles game?
+Dutil35 This is the actual Arcade machine.

It surprised me that they still made arcade machines in 2008. I thought they stopped making those in the mid 90s.
They still make arcade machines today, mainly for the Japanese market though.
Please say that this is a joke post?!!!
Brilliant game just too short
Looks pretty nice, never played this version.
Played it waaaaay back, probably 6 years ago. With the motion simulation activated, it was a great fun to play.
Still to these days a great pick for a short play.

4k is better I've got it running 4k 60fps on my i9900k RTX208ti
Nice, very nice!
Did this come out before or after Sega rally REVO? Anyone? Help?
Interesting that game was released after but was made around the same time as REVO and by the same developers.
Simultaneously
your youtube video run at only 30fps :(
Please download the original video :)
(the video quality on youtube is widely not as good as the real MPEG-4 video)
this looks godly
You should show a video with an external car view, also show a link to a photo of the machine, and show multiplayer mode.

It's not emulated, it's captured from a real arcade machine.

Sega rally 3 is Sega rally revo
Sega Rally Revo is slightly different. It's actually Sega Rally Online.
