Islandboy I like you a lot. I respect the way that young lady took a chance on you, and you show her nuff respect. I will be supporting your channel you make me proud.
Oh Wow! No worries Tyrone. The saying goes, "you win some and you loose some" but all is not lost. Just hope for the best, garden still looking good. Glad you enjoyed your trip ❤
Hi! Tyrone and Maria. Blessings. 🙏The garden still looks good. Papaya trees will die if it gets too much water. Hopefully the soil dries out quickly. Keep up the good work. 👍Big hug for island🤗. ❤️
Your garden looks great. Love the Toro/dasheen. The peppers and sorrels are plentiful. Just use some sticks to push up the sorrels for now. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Hail up Maria❤❤❤
You can raise up sorrel plants and tie to a stick to get them upright. The pepper and pawpaw trees could be due to water log. Nice garden. Keep farming.
Wow! The dashsheen plant grows so tall. So good to see you reliving life in Australia. Samoa reminds me of Jamaica. From the soil to the food that grows there. ❤❤
Nice farm. The peppers are lovely. Just pick the peppers and freeze them. Use only what you want, slice them and cook them immediately in the dishes you want. You will always have peppers. Freeze green or red, just the same. Beautiful.
Good Morning Tyrone, Congratulations to you and Maria on your new bundle of joy! It is so rewarding when you can benefit from your labour. Do you have issues with night creatures destroying your plants? Here in 🇨🇦 we do!!
I know I'm late but you can use the dasheen leaves to make soup. Blend at halfway cooking to make it smooth. Then put in pot and continue to cook as you would for soup. Delicious
Put water in a pan with salt and garlic to boil ..ten drop the frozen dasheen to cook.....in this way, you can enjoy your produce whenever you feel like
hey bro when it comes on to the leafs on the plants that do happen especially when rain fall so it not unusual. but mi love how you deal wid the back yaad farming over in Australia man.. big up yu self eno bro. and yu get a lot a dashine dou ,, did you know that the leaf of the plant can steam and eat like callaloo ? yes it can.
I love your peppers and the sorrel and everything else is great I love everything just use some thing to push up the sorrel tree it might be something in the rain we call it four seasons
Tyrone mi seh mi proud ah yu! You are a good man and proof that all is not lost with our Jamaican men. By the sweat of your brow you are eating. I can’t recall if you planted the dasheen in a mound/hill but it may help next time. I think it may have been too much rain on the pepper and the soil was oversaturated the one in the container was able to brain better. Don’t let those peppers go bad, pick them and pickle them. If you don’t think the papaya with recover and ripen pick them and make a stew with the green fruit. Glad you enjoy the trip to Samoa and I am looking forward to you reaping your sorrel.❤
I think it's too much water from the rainfall why they are looking like that, maybe it settled at the root for too long, but your garden looks really good ❤❤❤
6:32 Papaya loves heat so it might very well be the cold 🥶 NEW FRIEND HERE FROM JAMAICA 🇯🇲 I grow Papayas here in my garden too and the cutest butternut squashes. Thanks for sharing 👍 ❤
Hi maria and family pepper tree looks beautidñful.i did not no sorrel grew there.but the dasheen tree looks good we cook the dasheen leaves also.do snow comes early there.trinidad.
Some of the plants you need to plant next time deeper into the ground. The roots are showing on top so that shows you that you didn't plan it deep enough so some of them with the wind blow down. Next time planted deeper so the root is stable and solid.
Beautiful garden Tyrone, love the sorrel and peppers. Just use a bamboo stick to support the sorrels. Probably you did not plant them deep enough, try doing that next time. Check the soil PH for the papaya. You know why they check you! They are the same the world over, kust keep your cool and be safe. Hi to Maria and Island boy.
You shouid always walk with ‘Imodium for direah ! Your garden is thriving irregardless ! I guess you will pickle the stuff to last you throughout the winter. Blessings
Awesome good job I don't think the papaya or the pepper tree died but you just have to watch them to see. Because they still looks good other than the leaved.
Great harvesting. Gives you a feel of being in Jamaica planting and eating your good ORGANIC food. That's one of the things I miss in Ja. I live in New York USA. We only get 3 months of warm weather. Vegetables is the best we can do per season. Apple ,peach and pear trees grows in NY also. However, you need the property space.
It a pleasure for me to watch your videos.garden looks beautiful might be its 2 much water on the papayas .just watch and see when the soil gets back hard the leaves will start spring again.and the sorrel will rise up back it because they were so tall the bend under the weight.i plant sorrel hear in Jamaica and gungo and the same thing happen i had to tie the trees.for them to stay up.if the soil is not tough they will fall.dont worry.and your lemon tree is a beauty. Respect
Hey bro it's a good look love how you planting your foods, I normally plat a few roots of dasheen in jamaica , you should dig the holes for the dasheen suckers at least 8 to 10 inches deep , put the dasheen sucker into the hole, then only put back about 4to5 inches of soil back into the hole ,now leave it and the dasheen will grow upwards to the surface,,👍🏻
Love the garden on the taros there some taros you cant est cuz it will make you real sick but if buy the taro from the store and replant the hesd root from those taros you can eat those taros and use the leaf to eat yummy with coconut cream yummy great content love watching your channel but one week in samoa not long enough should stayed 2 weeks worth the time and the money you spent on airtickets to go there but grest content keep them coming much blessings and alofas from park city utah
Tyrone, I think it's too much water, that particular patch of soil is holding water. You also have the dasheen leaves to cook down with saltfish or steam/stew fish.
Brother you have to grow your taros 4 feet from each other in a row so the roots will have their own taro, also keep trimming the dead taro leaves and 6 to 7 months you good to harvest and then re plant, and that goes with your Papayas you have grow them apart away from other plants and trim the dead leaves as well 🤙🏽
Hello Ilsandboy. About your plants that's dying. #1 dashin don't need water. The dryer the ground is better for dashin, eddoes, or any roots provisions. Papayas are the same. Also, the reason for the sorrel plants to fall over is because the ground is too saturated. Next season, plant in box on higher ground. You can clearly see the difference. Also, dashin is ready to harvest when the sucker is drying. When it's healthy and green, as it is like the ones you pulled it too young, another month or so would have done the trick. Good luck.
The Taros looked unusual but least you got some still. Did you keep the leaves to cook up? Great you can grow all that stuff there. I really want some sorrel 😊
Wat. About planting sweet corn? Tyrone u got green Tum, lusheous garden.. too much water had som subscribers say, too little r too much can b a problem
Don't worry just keep planting it's the chance of weather hot and cold just replants, some days good and some days bad . Google and get ideas prior to the best kind of stuff to use while planting what to used God bless you and your family's 💖💖🌹 take care all is good with the Lord's wisdom prayers and strength.!!!!!
Ooh, how sweet of you, did you really go to SAMOA 🇼🇸??? Yeah they grow very big plantations of TAROS, BANANAS, KA’AMUS, YAMS, COCOA, COCONUT 🌴 PLANTATIONS, BREADFRUITS etc, etc, because it’s their FOODS day n night, every days. That’s our LIFE in SAMOA. (the ISLAND ways).😊
In regard to the pepper tree. I had the same issue. The tree was attacked by Aphids. When outside is really hot, they attack the tree for the liquid, and they spread. They suck they tree dry. You need to get rid of them by spraying the tree with a mixture of neem oil and baking soda with a little dish washing liquid which kills them
Don’t leave them out of the freezer. Always take out what you want and refreeze the rest. Just use what you are cooking at the time or you can use a whole one. When you pick them, wash the and dry them, then freeze
You see the Dashie Busch leaves they are very good for you plenty iron in your body that's the same Bush you used to make callaloo how I know that I'm from Trinidad
I think its as Trevor says..too much water? Im far from experienced in growing stuff but I have seen plants when they get to much water the leaves start to die off. Just Google it..It should be able to indicate whats wrong and how to fix it, if possible?! Good Luck.
Digging them up too early, replant them separately, dont know anything about dasheen but you should leave them until the very end of the summer then they might be fitter and ready for harvesting.
nice job Tyrone keep your Jamaican culture alive keep planting the things you grow up on as a Jamaican I am proud of you

Make pickel paper. Get some sticks and tied the sorrels tree to stand. I was imaging myself eating some of those dasheen 😂
Beautiful garden Tyrone, love the sorrel and peppers. Just use a bamboo stick to support the sorrels. Probably you did not plant them deep enough, try doing that next time. Check the soil PH for the papaya.

Dasheen loves water that’s why it’s so big
Try to grade the ground (slope it)so that the water will flow off easily
You should pick the green papaya and cook them like a squash
Cook the dasheen leaves with coconut milk., season to taste... delicious.
You can peel your dasheen put in ziplock bags and freeze, when ready to cook make sure your water is boiling and then add them.
The dasheen dem did wah ripe though
Tyrone, I think it's too much water, that particular patch of soil is holding water. You also have the dasheen leaves to cook down with saltfish or steam/stew fish.

Taro leaves are edibles. Like spinach
