If locomotives had a built in arm, they could wave to each other, as they pass each other. Since the crew hardly waves, this new attachment would really be what's needed, to keep all of us happy and go lucky.

Sweet catch of all the military trains, I love the one with the EMD DPU it had. Not going to lie but I thought these were all taken recently and I got worried for you guys..somethings going down haha.

It's the trains that move during the late hours into early morn that I'd be interested in seeing. At least these trains are not being shrouded by darkness.

During Viet Nam war a lot of troop trains running heavyweight and lightweight coach and Pullman bringing east coast and ETO troops to west coast debarkation. So many trains late 60s. Not a lot of armor. Mostly deuce and quarter trucks and artillery some apc’s. I was with the USO but I was a rail fan

Great outstanding collection of military trains. It's always fun to see what kind of firepower our tax dollars buy. I hauled a lot of that stuff during Desert Storm. Your BNSF shots are the first time I've seen military trains with DPU's. I like it!

@@KCUnionStationTrains Tanks, soldiers, the need to have all that equipment... Drones can deliver it all! :) Of course, that would come at a cost of not funding all those other cool vehicles and lots of folks would have no jobs. Awesome footage though! Hoping one day all that military crap will be scrap metal! Or better, be made into some more awesome trains!

Is there a particular reason why so many military trains in KC? Is there a base nearby? I've seen one in Ohio in 15 years.
Paul actually a lot of these are just run thru trains since a lot of interchanges happen in KC. There are a few bases here in Kansas but that's it. Like KCS ones went thru here to go to Washington.
Another thing... The Sibly bridge is just east of KC MO. It's the busiest Missouri River crossing there is.
