Beyonce was from Houston (who was a young teen at the time)and Selena was the pride of south Texas and all of Texas by extention!! If you didn't know who she was at that time in that moment at the height of her fame (as this was the last big concert before her untimely death) you were either living under a rock or didn't appreciate Tejano music. As a born and raised proud Latina Texan, we see her videos and hear her beautiful voice to remember....and to say its bittersweet isn't even the half of it...its very hard not to cry and feel joy at the same time for what could have been....RIP Selena...we are always dreaming of you...

I feel as a Selena fan myself that this particular performance on this Spanish language television show was to showcase the artists live. Kind of like MTV’s Unplugged. She performs most of her hits from the album she won a Grammy for earlier that year “Amor Prohibido”.

IF you do another Selena reaction video, I think Techno Cumbia (live from Astrodome Houston 1995). It really is one of the most entertaining videos from this concert bc the rap-like lyrics she sings...not to mention her dancing. It is a must and I am sure someone will eventually suggest it . Also, you've reacted to these songs already, but I wonder if they were not the best videos of these songs. "Enomorada De Ti" live from Premio Nuestro (1990) and "Carcacha" (Siempre en Domingo 1992) just something a bit more special to them. And if you dont want to re-do these songs, maybe you can do some of Selena's "funny moments" videos.

Fun Fact: AB played bass for Selena and helped write a majority of her music, also her husband was her guitarist. Her sister played the drums for her, it was a family affair!
