Yeah I own 2 VF Commadore's also known as the Chevrolet SS both Phantom Black metallic in the states. And even in the US we are seeing that they are holding their value and not many are dropping below $30,000 USD here unless they have a salvage (totaled/wrecked) title or the mileage is high over 100,000 miles/ 161,000 KMs . Then they start to go below that but not by much as the avg is about $27,000 USD for them. My only complaint is the rear seats not being able to fold down (I know the station wagon/ estates can but we never got those another sore spot for me) but if you can work around it or not have to worry about that option these cars are great. The main reason we also didn't end up getting the Ute was two fold the first was when Pontiac got axed and so killed the Pontiac ST before it even got a chance to see the light of day as it was going to be a 2010 model and GM announced Pontiacs closure in mid 2009. The other not many know about is the US has what is known as the Chicken Tax which is a very old 1950's protectionist tariff on any light trucks that are to be imported into the country is to have a 25% (This is why all the Japanese companies have factories here making said trucks and so pass them off as US made) addition to the Mfg suggested retail price which would kill any attempt at making a profit on importation of the Utes. There is a way around and that is you take a Pontiac G8 or a SS interior and put it in a Ute body and you can reg it that way as a remanufactured G8/SS or VE or VF generation Ute.
My BMW 540I B58 Stage 1 at 400hp easily keeps up with my mates Gtsr. There not that quick. Being A Holden Gtsr is definitely cool but GMH HP VS GERMAN HP Just ain't the same. Sorry Lads
Thanks for the offer Ashley but this isn't actually our car, we do reviews on a whole bunch of different cars, exciting ones like this and also cars people are looking to buy! :)
Couldn’t stop smiling while I drove this car!!
Wow wow woooow 🙌 I must introduce 1 here in South Africa 🇿🇦
