Sounds pretty good for the ebay one. If mine did not come with a Greddy catback on it from the previous seller I would have been all over this specific setup for the price. I put a $180 ebay one on my 350Z and it sounded pretty badass
And the fucked up part is that I only bought it as a temp fix but 2 years later she is still going strong with no discolored metal and the welds are still good.
Hmmm not too sure, all I know is that as long as you keep the stock cat on you will be good, as soon as you try and fuck with highflow cats it starts falling apart.
Hey, did you have any problems with the welds coming apart? I bought an Ebay one as well. First off I loved it. Sounded amazing. Then on the hanger welds broke off. No problem. Melted my shroud a bit but I welded the hanger back on and was good for a couple more weeks. After some more driving, I was hearing this slight tinging noise. Kinda like there was little rocks in the muffler. I live in a place that kids would actually do something like that. However, I took the mufflers off the car to shake it and see what would come out. Only I noticed that around the muffler and the exhaust pipe on both sides that the welds had broke. So I cut the entire thing off to see what was inside anyways and maybe get those "Rocks" out. What I found was the little screen tube inside that basically makes that sound was free on one side(The side that the weld broke) and was rattling around while it was on the car. So basically I didn't try to bother welding that back in cause the metal was so soft that every time I touched it with the welder just melted through. I now think that maybe JB weld would have worked but this was before winter when I parked it. Just wondering if maybe it was just this one or if there are multiple systems that are being effected.

This exact exhaust isn't on ebay anymore but all I can tell you is that if you go on ebay, there will be one that is for 179.00. That sounds just like the one I had on.
Is that typical? I have 04 rx9 stick too, with 133000 miles and it stills run super strong. I'm selling it hopefully to buy a better younger one. I saw this one and went to go check it out and it started really slow like this one. Any tips?
Well mine does that once in a blue moon so idk what to tell ya. So far all I do is use conventional oil, premium fuel, beat the shit out of it and seafoam it once a year and she golden.
With the renesis, there is not intake / exhaust port overlap since it's a rotary with no bridge. So there's no such thing as backpressure on a stock port renesis. You want the least resistance possible

yes because once you burn the exhaust the chemical properties react and then the metal is diluted which in turn changes the frequencies of the exhaust
Just look up rx8 exhaust and its the only one up there for 183 bucks.
