  • On this Friday I had gone out to catch the good old UP LSF51 at Redwood Junction, today the train was UP 1488 and UP 1527. Here I get them entering the East Controlled Siding at Redwood Junction. Crew was cool on the train. I had planned to get the train at the port as well but I hadn't ate since I woke up so instead I went to jack in the box.

Honestly, I realize that the AEM7’s were originally bought to test the OCS system, but couldn’t they be used as freight engines from Tamien to San Francisco?

@@AnthonyPinkerton-d7p Sadly no, the AEM-7s aren’t powerful enough to haul these freight trains. Either way, Caltrain only has one and it couldn’t do all of the Peninsula freight work on its own.

Roughly what time did they arrive to RWJ?
