Paulaner Weissbier 🇩🇪 - Review

- Ale and Joe review a historic, heavy hitter to round out their summer of discovering famous wheat beers. Paulaner's Weissbier is the No. 1 Weissbier in Germany, which says quite a bit considering all the magnificent wheat brews that come out of that fine beer making country. Naturally cloudy and shining silky-gold in the glass under a really strong head of foam.

I'm not sure why this beer isn't more popular than it is, it's really fantastic. I've never seen this detailed of a breakdown of it, I can almost taste it again while listening 😆 Great review boys.
I could not agree more. It’s so strange that beers like Hoegaarden and Blue Moon dominate the marketplace when you have gems like this one showing how the style should be.
it's at our local grocery store year round. It's still not as good as it is in Munich.
No joke I literally just poured myself this beer and turned on UA-cam and here u guys are reviewing it 😊
Whoa really?? That’s beer serendipity right there

Golden moments online!!!
😂 They’re a thing!
🤣🤣🤣
😆
Thanks for an awesome vid as always guys. Loved the drama here! Cheers my friends! 😃 🍻
Cheers my friend! 🍻
Yes!! One of my absolute favorites. I gotta agree, this is one of the best wheat beers I've ever tried.
Well it’s pretty safe to say it’s one of our favorites now too 😂
I love Paulaner 😋👍
I commend you boys for doing a proper review. I just downed a pint. Didn’t really give myself time to savor all the flavor, but damn.. it’s a fine beer.
Thanks so much for watching Jose! Cheers my friend 🍻
Spot on review! I bought 4 cans for $14.99 here in Sydney, Australia - 500ml cans. Is this incredibly good value or what?
Yes, your review is faultless!
That is unbelievably good value, wow!
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words. Cheers 🍻
I’m sitting here drinking a Paulaner Hefe-Weizen while watching (from bottle poured into glass)! This is my 4th or 5th time trying and I didn’t really like it as much as the Weihenstephaner Hefe-weizen. You guys are convincing me that this is a great beer despite my previous experience lol 😂 I notice that it’s a little darker in color compared to other hefe weizens. As far as the flavor goes, it’s got that banana characteristic with some spice and sort of this sweet bubble gum flavor if you swish it around your mouth if that makes any sense. I’ll try it side by side with a Weihenstephaner Hefe-wizen and hopefully you gentleman can make that video soon! They’re both top tier beers! I wonder which one is better 🤔 Thank you both, much love and cheers 🍻 and thanks for watching my performance dedicated to my cousin!!
Of course!! Always keeping an eye on your channel and it was a great performance.
That vs. Battle is definitely something we’re going to have to get to sooner than later. Especially cause it’s German beer season the next few months! Looking forward to see what videos you put out too.
Weihenstephaner hefe-weizen vs. Paulaner hefe-weizen would be an epic battle! Choosing a winner between the two might be one of the toughest decisions in beer brackets history…. 😅 Can’t wait for that one!! 🍻
I only tasted the glass bottle version but too long ago to know how to appreciate it to remember. Interesting because Paulaner owns Hacker Pschorr, and not sure I mentioned in this channel before, but the hefeweiss by Hacker Pschorr is so far my favorite. It seems by your review the two must be a lot alike, if not the same, particularly the strong lasting carbonation. Ayinger Brauweisse used to be my favorite, but Hacker Pschorr really tops it, from the complexity to the overall experience. Good thing too the price for the 4-packs is still not overpriced yet compared to the more popular Ayinger and Weihenstephaner. Where I am it's going for $8.99, where as Ayinger 4x11oz bottles are $12.99, and Weihenstephaner 4 cans at $11.99.
So true! The Hacker Pschorr is just as good in my opinion. Another super underrated wheat beer.
My favorite beer. I'm a whiskey drinker but if I drink beer it has to be Paulaner Weissbier!!! Great stuff
If you’re gonna choose one beer, can’t go wrong with this one that’s for sure! Cheers 🍻
Ah! A definite classic!
One of the best ,classic beer.
Could not agree more! What are some of your other favorites?
@@BeerBrackets if we talk about big breweries, than Erdinger : both dunkel and weissbier, Paulaner dunkel ,also can't go wrong with that.
@@houseabovethebay Such great beers, we're a big fan of Erdinger. I have a few of the Paulaner dunkel in my garage right now just waiting for the right moment to try them. Haven't tasted it before but very excited.
I've been into a wheat beer summer obession and you guys sum up the style so well tho im more a franziskaner fan because its so strong with the clove and Banana
Ooooh I’ve never seen the Frankiskaner here in Canada, but I’ll add it to my list of beers to keep an eye out for moving forward. Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Cheers 🍻
I was drinking one on this vedeo..Love it ..Taste was great top to bottom.
That’s great! Our reviews are definitely best enjoyed while drinking the beer yourself.
Thanks for watching Jeff! Cheers my friend 🍻
You guys have inspired me to try it. It's readily available in the UK, and I love Erdinger :)
Thanks for watching!! Keep us posted and let us know what you think.
Okay now I have tasted it, I can say it is different from the Hacker Pschorr version. Paulaner version have much more hops, it is one of the stronger flavored hefeweiss I have tasted actually, almost approaching weizenbock, not so much the ABV but the deeper bold flavor. Which is actually very interesting as it has a full body feel yet without so much alcohol. It is more creamy, Hacker Pschorr version have much more carbonation giving a crisper feel, but also lighter and easier to drink and a little less body.
Wow, another perfect beer! I have never had this one, but I definitely have to try it ASAP. I like everything Paulaner does, so I'm sure I will concur.
I’m 💯sure you’d really enjoy this one Nate, it’s fantastic.
Listen, im mexican and Ive been hearing about this specific german beer for quite some time. Finally got around to try this out. Ill let you guys know it goes. Currently waiting for them to get cold. Super excited.
That’s exciting!! Definitely let us know what you think of it.
Make sure you have the correct glass, they make many diff beers
I love this. I've always loved this beer, it's extra special.
It absolutely is special. Thanks for watching and cheers! 🍻
Great channel and great beer the Germans know how to make beautiful beers.
They absolutely do… there’s no doubt about that.
Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Cheers 🍻
I want to know how much the beer in the video costs in Germany, but it costs $1.76 in China. In addition, is this beer considered mid-range or low-grade in the local area?
Hello, can you do a beer review for Franziskaner?
Hi! Unfortunately I’ve never seen that one here in Canada, but did some research on it and it sounds great. So much history. I’ll keep my eyes open and see what we can do. Thanks for watching! 🍻
I’ve only had their octoberfest which is good… tbh there all good Prost 🍻 have y’all reviewed a kolsch yet🤔
Yes! At 21 minutes 30 here we talk about the Gaffel Kolsch ua-cam.com/video/1luS2Y7m33Q/v-deo.htmlsi=UVJRuHPfQVs6sc-o
Is Weissbier and hefeweizen same or similar ?
ua-cam.com/video/9f1aBudaho0/v-deo.html
Great question! Weissbier means wheat beer and Hefeweizen is a style of wheat beer. If you scroll a few episodes back, we have a great video going over the different styles of wheat beer quickly to give you a better idea of what they all even are. Thanks for watching and cheers! 🍻
Thanks
Drink this regularly since it's cheaper but prefer weihenstephaner
The woman in the boustiere 🤣
😂 She’s always there
Paulaner Weissbier is the BEST !!!!
It really is! What are some of your other favorites?
Dunkel Paulaner is my other favourite @@BeerBrackets
Love this beer!
Same!!
If you only used wheat beer glasses instead...! Says a German.
1 Paulaner beir in a pressure cooker with a corned beef an 1 cup of water, 1 whole sliced fresh red onion on the bottom, 1 hour for time or 4 fifteen minute meat option times back to back, excellent tenderness from all the beirs ingredients an vitamins. You can't go wrong!!! I promise.
Sounds delicious 🤤
