      The mounting hardware and batwing are usually sold separately. I am picked mine up from Bike Bandit but you can find links to everything on Amazon in the description.

      My bike is on a boat right now. Waiting for the moving company to deliver everything and then I'll try to get a video up.

    Hello Chris,
    First off I love what you've done with your bike, very tasteful customizing. I'm looking at a Memphis Shades Batwing for my 06 M50 suzuki, just wondering what your impressions of it were after highway riding? Is the 5" windshield tall enough to allow for a comfortable ride??
    Thanks much

      Austin Bahr, I will be posting a review of all the recently installed parts to the bike in the near future which will cover all the specs, pricing, and comfort. In the meantime though, the fairing has been a great addition and definitely made highway riding more comfortable. The 5" shield does not provide adequate coverage to eliminate head buffeting from the wind however, it did provide a great deal of wind protection in all other aspects.
      The great thing about this product is that is has so many customizable pieces that can bee added to match a rider's individual needs. I have read that the 10" shield is ideal to reduce head buffeting and lower shields can be installed that will also help with the same problem as well as adding further wind protections for the legs as well.
      -Chris

    GREAT VID !!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks ! if the bike was completely stock the install may have went easier with the mirrors and the head lamp on a stock m50 2015?? THANKS AGAIN !! how many miles do you have on your c50??

      +Joe Jack, I do believe so. They have done a great job with making this adaptable to many different bike styles. They do this by having a large selections of attachment pieces specific to makes and models. The only thing that made it harder for me to install were the custom pieces.

      +BIG SLICE CICHILDS BX sorry for the delay, I bought most of my higher priced items from cruisercustomizing.com. it allows you to find parts that will specifically fit your bike as well as as videos with how to install on occasion.
      For small parts that are more generic, I usually just go on Amazon to find better deals and sometimes better shipping costs.
      Your best bet is to find what you need and install it yourself if you can. Most shops I've found will charge at a minimum $65 an hour which adds up and takes away from future projects. Hope that helps.

    Great Video, I've been thinking about purchasing a Memphis Shade Fairing... How's the ride?

    • @DIYwithChris

      For looks, and ease of the installation, the basic kit with the quick detach option is amazing.
      I purchased the big zipper pouch which is great for storage.
      As far as wind protection goes, it is worth it to buy the larger windshield and deflectors for the bottom. This provides a really smooth ride while giving the option to take it off for traditional looks.

    I put the exact same Memphis Shades wing on my 2008 C50T, other then I wound up getting the taller windshield and adding lowers. I hate it! Way too much wind buffet, and worse with the shorter windshield! At 85 mph it flaps like a flag. Worst thing I ever did to my bike. I went back to the stock Suzuki windshield, much better, $600 dollars poorer!

    Chris I commend you for what you're doing and trying to help people put things together.... But maybe you might want to make it not so informal a little more straight to the point I find a lot of your videos you are repeating things multiple times thank you for the information.

    you need to lower your Batwing. It is way to high on the bike.
    Huge gap between the headlight and Batwing.
    LOOKS CRAPPY DUDE

    • @DIYwithChris
      @DIYwithChris  6 років тому

      Light is custom which explains the gap. Fairing is for functionality on my bike, not looks. Thanks anyway.

  • @spanky522
    @spanky522 6 років тому

    That fits like shit. The headlight sticks out way too far from the fairing. What's with the big gap above the headlight all about? you better send that thing back!!

    • @DIYwithChris
      @DIYwithChris  6 років тому +1

      Most of the front end is custom including the light which explains the fit. I didn't get the fairing for looks, rather functionality which means it's perfect.
