So glad I watched this again. My 2018 Z21 Nitro is at least an1/8" low on the outboard (Portside) o f the mount. It is so bad it won't even latch. I am loosening all 6 and and installing 3 of the rubber washers on the the 3 portside holes of the mount. So, add Nitro's to the list.
Gud morning Paul I have a question I'm upgrading from a Minn Kota Fortrex to the ghost, I cannot locate the yellow ring Terminals connecters for the 8 (AWG) wire any help with location the ring Terminals will be greatly appreciated thanks 🙏🏾👍🏾
Great video. I just received mine yesterday 1/13/21 and tried to install it last night...all was really easy thanks to your tips. Mine was shipped without the 4 washers with for the gas assist strut - just not in the boxes anywhere. The binding barrels and screws were there, but no washers. I have asked Russel Marine for an express shipment - hopefully that occurs. QUESTION: what are they made of and what are the dimensions? Can you switch them out after installation without impacting the loctite on the screws?? I am thinking about looking for a substitute until the OEM washers are received.
The newer models don't use them, because the gas spring heads are bigger than the original ones they are plastic washers, if it fits in there snug but the bolt and screw in and roll with it
Paul I can’t get the spot lock to work right I even wait for boat to stop moving set spot and the boat goes 5 or 10. Feet one way then back and keeps doing it
Hey Paul, thanks learning a lot. But I have a question on keeping batteries charged up on the road. Having a trolling motor will be new to me and want to travel some to far out locations. So what do the pro’s do. ha. If you leave house with full (and I’m talking 24 v system) batteries . How long does it take for them to drain down some? And going on a multiple day trip whats the plan. Run extension cord out motel window. Or does anyone take a small honda generator and sit a marina for couple hrs to charge up. So traveling tips to keep fishing. Thanks...

I'm having that issue stepping on the trolling motor to lock it in. I used all the shims that came with the motor. I'm just confused on the leveling part. went out to the boat and used a leveler...it looks level to me, am I doing something wrong?
Ok try this, deploy the tm, if it stops shy and if you push it down and it pushs back up, and feels spongy. If the mount is tweaked it is usually very hard to pop up and release to stow the motor
Make sure power to the nmea is on first and update graph and ghost, try from another connected nmea graph. When u go to pages, settings autopilot, choose trolling, then it should popup
I understand that the Ghost comes with its own GPS puck. Is this the same as the point one? If so, is there any reason to have one pick for the Ghost and one for the graphs, or will the one included do everything? Thanks.
Why did they make it so loose in the stowed position and require the kick stand? The Garmin Force is very tight in the stowed position. That's dangerous if the motor is not completely locked when running across the lake. Everything else on the motor is great.
@@michaelvanzant7629 Because the layout of each boat is a little different it needs a little play, if u put a stabilizer pad on the deck From bobs machine shop it will not dig into the deck. works great.

We plug them up at hotel every night after use to hotel outlet

It could be the gas shock itself if it feels like some resitistance on it?

Paul, for some reason I don't have the stow feature on my Lowrance Ti2 9. Is that part of the Ghost update or the unit software?
Do u have nmea 2000 installed and connected to unit and ghost?

We have an issue with the arrow indicator on top sticking and jerky when the motor is turned any thoughts?
pop the arrow off look for the white circle, if you don't see it, call lowrance they will send you another one, it's just the magnetic field is broken

U have to use the puck that comes with ghost and point 1
Is the 3:1 transducer worth it on the ghost? Do you use the side scan that often?
Yes it will be released after the first of the year
Do you have a recommendation on how to mount the foot pedal? I have a deep recessed tray on my triton and the pedal sits too low in the tray. Thanks
I would get a 1 inch piece of poly and use it as a spacer

Your stabilizer is not set properly u shouldnt have any play at all
