@@625bmx He's kidding. It's a joke about Mercedes new Dual Axis Steering system in their Formula 1 cars. As you push the wheel in and and out, it changes the toe angle of the front wheels. Theoretically if one wanted to simulate this feature I think it would have to be done on the shaft because the control is managed by pulling or pushing on the wheel.

    Hey Barry,
I have the Simulaje F1S after seeing your thoughts. While not all the things on the display work in every simulator (for example, GAP to previous or next driver doesn't work in iRacing) I have few complaints. The only one being the clutch paddles being digital vs. Analog, making it hard to avoid wheelspin on higher torque cars.
Question - Are these analog? For example, when you drop to 40% clutch application after dropping first paddle can ease it out similar to the APMs?

Right. Its been a year! Now the CSX 2 has been discontinued. Meaning they're probably just about to release the next one along.
So how has my CSX 2 faired? Beautifully, nothing on it has failed, even the grips still look brand new. Course this is something I'd expect with a £1500 price tag.
Love it and I'll continue to use it, it's become my main rim for iRacing. The screen let's me display the data I want and keep my monitor space clean with racelabs.
Worth the price? Definitely. Compared to say the GPX. It has more features, better screen and build quality is practically the same.
So if you want an f1 style wheel with display and inputs up the wazoo. CSX 2 is it
However! its still £1500. So, if your feeling pressed an on the fence about buying one thats on ebay, seen a few there.
I'd say, save the money and wait for the CSX 3(?) or whatever they'll call it once its released.
Other than that? for the price, you can buy a fair number of F1 style rims without the screen and a fair number of inputs, such as the Formula Pro!
an LCD of this size, ultimately its a niche product, as it should be, they demand a high price tag for two reasons, build quality, materials and in general, these wheels take a fair bit of cash to develop and create, but also, its not a product that is sold in great numbers. Its a niche product that really only a few will get their hands on.
I'd say, buy the formula pro. You can always buy an display to mount to your wheel base, or heck, use an old smartphone! there are PLENTY of cheaper methods that will allow you to have a display with just as much utility, whilst not having to essentially fork out the cost of a second hand banger! ( Seriously, I've seen crashed track GT's selling for 2,000 or 3,000 that just need new bodywork and abit of elbow grease, though rare and far between )
So again. I love my CSX 2, adore it, it is my baby and I take greeeaat care of it. Alongside that, it always gets Ooos an Ahhhs, from friends who come visit. Whats more, the CSX 2's build quality is assured! Perhaps I should tell them an show them the footage of what we did with my friends. We mounted it to a McLaren GT4, even spent the months of making the inputs work and translate, as much of a pain in the ass it was
Dont actually do this, even though it survived with flying colors with no damage bar a cracked red rotary which we replaced with a set of rotaries from a busted wheel out of a wrecked BMW GT4. Its still something that is for sim rigs. What was surreal however, was seeing that my friends CSX 2, was actually out of the teams multi million dollar sim rig. They were using it whilst their custom bit of kit was being changed up or something. Neat.

I had a few of these USB hubs laying around and decided to try it and it works.
The hub is a 5V - 2500mA "SABRENT HB-UMP3". It is a 4-port USB 3.0 hub with individual on and off switches for each port. You can get it on Amazon .com for $17.00 ( You will need a USB extension cable to be able to mount the Hub near your steering wheel ).

There are quite a few options out there, here are a couple that I found recently:
      www.simdecals.com
      simstickers.co.uk/
-- or -- you can buy the ones from Cube Controls directly: cubecontrols.com/product/stickers/

This company has a weird line-up of products:Why don't they have dual clutch wireless product? They have all combinations but not the one a Simucube owner (which probably is the main target group for CSX rims) wants.

Perfect timing, Barry. I’m looking at this wheel right now to use on my DD2!
Do you have any idea if this paired with the Podium Hub quick release is stiff enough to do it justice? Or, in other words, is the Podium Hub stiffer than the ‘regular’ Fanatec QR?

I don’t know, I’m kinda underwhelmed by this product. It looks beautiful but I expected a bit more for the price I guess.

More quality in the details. I feel like the carbon plate could be thicker. Way cheaper wheels go with 5 mm. Some of the switches seem a bit cheap to me for this price range. I would prefer suede leather grips (even if they are probably not as durable). And I hate to see a USB cable when we clearly have the technology to do it wirelessly with some negligible latency. I feel like they went the save route with everything. The wheel lacks the wow factor for me. Barry clearly wanted to criticize some of these things, but he has to be reserved of course...and I respect that. Felt kinda like his Fanatec DD review.
Edit: not a fan of those ugly logos either.

Can't recommend you any other wheel. This all was just my opinion why I was disappointed watching Barry's review. I don't like arguments like "no one else does it" tbh. It's just another way of saying...we didn't want to put in more effort. Could be that my expectations were to high looking at the price and not having excessive knowledge about the market in this range.
Edit: I still would prefer suede leather. Just looks and feels better. Next time it rains in my gaming room, I will change my mind.

Sure, me too and I agree. However, at four times the price it should be. Yet it would still bother me that the way cheaper wheel actually has a thicker carbon plate.

@@AttilaTheHun333333 There's no way in the world with current technology that you'd be able to power that screen, paddles, and buttons wirelessly. You'd have about 15 minutes of battery life before the thing conked out on you. I much prefer injection molded rubber over suede as it's far more durable and easier to maintain. I also prefer using non animal products if I possible can, but this obviously comes down to personal preference.
