But IR's foundation (both in music and spiritually) is rock solid, so he still stands so tall that others have to just look up & feel good that once upon a time they worked with this great legend.

Flautist Sudhakar passed away on March-27-2023. He was amongst the few BEST flautists in the NATION. He was a gem in the court of Maestro Ilayaraja. May his good soul rest in peace. He will continue to live with us through his work (like the recorder flute piece in Azhagiya kanne song interlude, How to Name it album, Mudhal Mariyaadhai album etc.). He also rendered his voice as an old woman in songs like Oram po rukkumani vandi varudhu, Rukkumani rukkumani etc.
