Every guitarist I’ve met rolls their eyes when I play zombie because apparently it’s an overplayed noob song but as a decent guitarist I couldn’t give a shit it’s lit 🔥
I feel ya, hate guitar players that try to flex their skills. Riffs don't have to be hard to play to be good. Rammstein is a perfect example, some of the easiest riffs you'll ever play but they hit like a truck.
And he doesn't even play it right.
as someone who enjoys music a lot, i dont care if the song is easy to play. if its pleasant to the ears, i will appreciate it

Maybe he’s been your go to guy for years….. or possibly this is your first time here… Either way, I’ve been visiting Marty’s channel for well over a decade and see his channel as one of those too good to be true kind of thing… The content he offers for free and the personal friendly way it’s presented has been a huge part of my guitar playing experience… I’ve always loved the sound of a guitar,and when I finally stopped attempting to play as if I were someone other than myself, I fell in love with it.. This is weirdly nostalgic. This was the first video (outside of his acoustic guitar lessons) that I watched. Been playing guitar for a year now and I'm way better than I used to be, I remember struggling so hard to get those beginner chords down, now I can play them no problem. Shows you how practice really does make perfect.

Life is too short so my girlfriend and I decided to take early retirement from work, bought a campervan and started to travel around the UK and Europe. As a project I recently started to learn to play acoustic guitar as something to do on rainy days in the Campervan and I am having lessons from someone I know who is in a band. I found your channel on UA-cam which really compliments the way that I am being taught. I really like the way that you break down songs in to simple chords and strumming. It is perfect for me and I just wanted to say thanks for sharing this and after looking at tons of different UA-cam channels, your's is the best that I have found for me as a beginner.

But then, i saw yours, Marty, videos in here and started to play again. And now i can play Metallica, Deep Purple, The Cranberries thanks to you! i used to play guitar for a couple years when i was younger. i stopped for a few years after i went to secondary school. i started playing again today and i acc managed to play the whole songs thanks to you. you’re tutorials are LIFE savers
Love playing theis song!! As an alternative to the "D" chord, I just drop from the "G" chord, to a "G/F#". From the "G" drop go to first finger on the second fret of the low "E" string, with second finger on the second of the "A". You can still play the high notes, but emphasize the low notes for those two bars, so you really really hear that step down!! But either way, it is a great song to play, and sing!!

Hey Marty, I’m tuning in from Oxford England. I’ve had an Electric guitar since 2014 and constantly picked it up and put it down without any reward, however i’ve recently purchased a Yamaha acoustic, and finally after watching your UA-cam channel This is the longest period of time that I’ve actually stuck to learning, I started by learning a lot of Nirvana songs of which have really pushed me on.
