Does anyone else get incredibly Nostalgic when watching the Disney Princess movies? I swear, this song makes me feel lonely and old at the same time. This is a song that could play during a video scene of a post-apocalyptic world, it could play during a dancing scene to make it more powerful... it could play during a scary scene in a movie.... this song is a master piece. I love hoe Disney is branching off to show the different types of love, before it was all romantic but now they show how true love is also sisterly(Frozen) and maternal(Malecficent) I think the message is beautiful.
It is, but that doesn't mean it's the only type of love, I think its good that Disney is sort of coming out of it's little romantic bubble and, in my opinion is giving more substantial material.
Perhaps the reason they've done so many romantic movies is because people wanted to feel in love more than they wanted to feel fondness for family members.
I visualize myself wearing a long and beautiful gown while walking calmly into the deep forest as in hypnotized by this beautiful and mysterious voice singing such an enchanting melody.
Just imagine a pair dressed in black dancing ballet but the girl's eyes are closed throught the whole dance, until the end when she opens her eyes and her partner is nowhere to be seen, in that moment she relizes it was all just a dream...
Went to a wedding where this was the first dance for the couple, she was in a fitted lace gown, the lights went dim, and the floor was lit with blue led lights with a fog, there was also a strobe effect on the ceiling cloud decorations. Still replay it in my head from time to time.
It could actually because maleficent really loved Stefan but he didn't so all this was like a dream and I also think this suits maleficent way more than Aurora
This music is beautiful, the movie it went with was groundbreaking. Such a beautiful story. Full of hatred jealousy and anger turned into mercy, love, and passion. How beautiful to have love grow within someone who never thought she'd love again 😭😭
Deema Erekat LOl that’s what I’m doing rn I’m outside in my pool on a floaty just chilling in the middle with the speaker all the way up playing this song over and over again
I can picture a "what if" twisted version of Aurora dancing to this while still eternally sleeping after the Prince failed to save her. On her own in the field of thorns. Everyone back at the castle still asleep. She’s sleep walking/dancing if you will. And her dreams never come true.

There is something about his voice that rarely calms me down. I don't even know what it is about this song that makes me release my emotions so rarely, it just relaxes me. Rarely does this relax me, all this relaxes me, it has a touch that makes me calm and relax me.....
Nikita Komatsu this movie was inspired by the ABC drama series Once Upon A Time. if you enjoyed this movie, you will probley enjoy Once Upon A Time, too!
one thing that I love about her voice in this song is it doesn’t seem too bubbly, it almost feels…darker in a sense. It feels like something that I can’t really describe. It almost seems like a dark academia vibe. I love this version so much.
I don't picture this as dark. I picture a by chance meeting where a woman and a man lock eyes and are drawn to each other. Everything fades away for those mere moments but to them, it seems like their souls are trying to catch with what has happened, leading up to the moment they met. Their minds think of the future of what could be. The happiness, the beauty, the closeness. And in that moment, the line between dream and reality is shattered.
Honestly, I don't think of super creepy things when I listen to this song. It's more mesmerizing than depressing to me, kind of like a spell, not necessarily an evil one, just one that's mysterious and haunting.
Truthfully, I think that it's as mysterious as it is depressing. It puts you in a mood you've never felt before, and keeps you there, waiting until you understand what it all means.
Since Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed and Duke and the Great Pie War,everyone enjoys Royalty and Lulu Plummer was there for her. Lulu was never afraid of Maleficent.
***** I just watched the movie for the first time literally just a few minutes ago, i had no word to say. i woke my parents up when i screamed Maleficent telling her to make Diavel transform into a crow and then a dragon again so he would get untangled from the chains when the both got trapped near the end. It's Such a good movie, i just cant even, nor odd right now!! This song brought it together.
+Evelynn Kim just wanted to point out that it wasn't really important to say that your friend is a boy, and therefore you could have skipped the part in which you say you "hate that word".
Like at a ball. Here's a POV: (btw i suck at writing) You arrive at the ball at the perfect time, you see your love, he looks so handsome in that suit. You walk over to him, he asks for your hand in the dance. You gladly take it. You start to waltz with your head on his shoulder. All the sudden the room goes silent. All the colors start to fade away around you, you see your love, the light of your life fade into the darkness. You hear the song your mother once sang when you where young. You manage to wisper "I'm coming mother". As you let the darkness take you. The song gets louder, till it fills your head. You see your mother standing there with arms open waiting to be closed around you. She wispers in your ear "Welcome home darling".
How does she sound like that?! Nobody can sing this song better than her. How lucky she is to have a voice like no other.. she has her own genre I feel. She's just the luckiest ever and most blessed ❤❤❤
am i the only one who doesn't imagine war or death? honestly, every time i listen to this i'm just entranced and awed that i don't really think about anything
It reminded me of my mom, because I started singing along, and felt her presence. For the first time, after 3 years, it him me that I will never see her again. Sad, but a long overdue release.
Man every time i hear this I imagine it playing in the background as someone walks through a creepy deserted hotel. All the lights are on. But no one is there. No sound to be heard. But this song.
I watched that film yesterday and... It was excellent, it was more than I expected. Angelina Jolie was amazing, she returned perfectly. And I heard this song at the credits of the film, I stayed in the theater and listened all the time.
I don't feel this is a depressing and haunting song, but rather the exact moment someone is reuniting with a loved one, exact moment they are waking up from a sad and haunting state of mind.
When I was a little girl this song was my favourite and I'd skip around singing it. I thought it was all about beauty and how love would always be perfect, how life would be perfect when I was older, how I'd find Prince Charming and the princess life. But nowadays 20 years later, this song fills me with tears of regret and sadness because life didn’t turn out how I expected, and I look back on those early childhood years, wishing to be back there and regretful of how I wanted to grow up so fast.
I'm a Psychiatrist. There are so many women that grow-up with the idealistic Disney -- Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty syndrome, into what's referred to as a "social imaginary" conceptualization. These people, unfortunately sabotage their own marriage(s), trying to find their "Prince Charming". This is the main reason why mother's are so important to their son's -- Conversely, the same with father's to their daughter's. Although, this is not an absolute law; however, it's a good indicator. The individual usually defines romantic relationships in accordance to their parents, as the template for that ideological love. Please don't regret your life-decisions. We all are in a state of flux, so just be yourself. If you show who you truly are, then your future partner will find you... !!! When we focuses on "active searching" then, it's usually is perceived as desperation. Women should not look for a "fixer-upper guy", as well as, confident men don't want the eternal "helpless little princess". I'm happy that Disney is finally portraying girl's as adventurous, independent, and the hero's of their own adventures. If there is a boy, he's usually placed in the background, but he doesn't always come to her rescue. We need more "Wonder Women" influence -- refined, educated, self-assured, independent -- Yet, still very much a lady. Just like Lana del Rey's singing: a bit of mystery, strong on her own, some depth with a dash of darkness, and very, very beautiful.
She’s the perfect vintage voice for THIS

He's the one who made the main melody.
Although Lana Del Rey it's a very good singer.
@@leonardogabrieltrevinoloba2377 I knew I heard that tune somewhere
the instrumental is also so soothing and gorgeous, makes me want to drift into a 100 yr sleep
I love hoe Disney is branching off to show the different types of love, before it was all romantic but now they show how true love is also sisterly(Frozen) and maternal(Malecficent) I think the message is beautiful.
sorry I didn't notice the typo, how is what I meant
I couldn't agree more! I think it's so beautiful! And it's about time they pushed the typical boundaries for 'true love'
There's no denying it though- romantic love is one of the best feelings in the world.
Why am I only hearing this now ?! Five years late is a lot 😩
Same
I'm wondering myself the same fucking question
You're not the only one hunn
Idem ditto
Right, same here.
I visualize myself wearing a long and beautiful gown while walking calmly into the deep forest as in hypnotized by this beautiful and mysterious voice singing such an enchanting melody.
i can imagine listening to this in the car at night time in the winter maybe after it rained SO BEAUTIFUL
YES
Exactly what I thought but I'd be listening to this and look outside to see it snowing with trees covered with snow, my narnia.
Yay much aestetic
Wow I was thinking the exact same thing wtf.
oh my god. I'm picturing it....so beautiful
Just imagine a pair dressed in black dancing ballet but the girl's eyes are closed throught the whole dance, until the end when she opens her eyes and her partner is nowhere to be seen, in that moment she relizes it was all just a dream...
Curious Pigeon it was only just a dreaaaam 🎶
Reminds me of Jane or some character from Creepypasta
"It wasn't a dream at aaaaaallll... Ahahaha..."
I cannot tell you how similar a vision i had in my head for this song!
l
I seriously love this version
It’s honestly my favorite version
mine, too. I love haunting takes on songs. I love the combo of beauty, peace, and haunting.@@joschannel2026

This sounds like someone thats been naive and in love once but understands the reality now. It's almost sarcastic. Beautiful.
I’m hypnotized by this song, I can’t stop listening to it
neither can I 💙🥺
Same when i first heard it but now not really.
Ikr?! I'm obsessed!
Listen to Norman fucking Rockwell then
same bro
Went to a wedding where this was the first dance for the couple, she was in a fitted lace gown, the lights went dim, and the floor was lit with blue led lights with a fog, there was also a strobe effect on the ceiling cloud decorations. Still replay it in my head from time to time.
Claire Knight that’s beautiful
Wow
Claire Knight I have no words 😍😍😍
Pics or it didn’t happen
Claire Knight is perfect for a wedding if the bride or groom were in their dreams before they met ❤
Her voice has such a haunting melody, I love it!
Prince Phillip: But don't you remember? We've met before.
Aurora: W- we have?
Prince Phillip: Why of course you said so yourself, *once upon a dream*

Imagine the creepy version of it now. Its not about fantasy, but its about death
I'm gonna walk down the aisle to this so song! I'm so excited!!!
It sounds like someone is trying to sleep but is singing this while crying because of heartache
omg yes
I did all of that w/o the singing so idk if that counts
Haha that’s what I’m doing...
You just described what i was doing right now...
😭😭😭
her voice with this music is just beautifully haunting
The original was sung by Sleeping Beauty. But this version sounds like it's sung by Maleficent if Angelina Jolie could sing. Fitting!!! xD
The original music is from late XIX century
Tchaikovsky was the composer of the sleeping beauty waltz written for orchestra
It could actually because maleficent really loved Stefan but he didn't so all this was like a dream and I also think this suits maleficent way more than Aurora
I legit thought Angelina sang this, but Lana splayed this!
*"If Angelina Jolie could sing"*
This music is beautiful, the movie it went with was groundbreaking. Such a beautiful story. Full of hatred jealousy and anger turned into mercy, love, and passion. How beautiful to have love grow within someone who never thought she'd love again 😭😭
I need waterproof headphones...so i can listen to this while i'm swimming 😂
Deema Erekat LOl that’s what I’m doing rn I’m outside in my pool on a floaty just chilling in the middle with the speaker all the way up playing this song over and over again

mxchaeldelrey oh i hope it happens but its a longer version
Yes!!!!
really? do u know when will maleficent 2 be released ?
😱
ghg gbg It will be released in 2020
I can imagine maleficent singing this while softly combing aurora' s pretty blonde hair in a large window as the thunderstorm passed by their castle.
That would be beautiful to see
Lana needs to cover every song in the world. Well atleast the meaningful ones...
in the worst case scenario, if she covers gangnam style, lets hope its beautiful
i can just imagine it ''oppppaaaaa gannnnndoooommmmmm styyyy--hylllleee''
I could actually imagine that being quite good somehow haha
this voice could make rebecca black's meaningful

I can picture a "what if" twisted version of Aurora dancing to this while still eternally sleeping after the Prince failed to save her. On her own in the field of thorns. Everyone back at the castle still asleep. She’s sleep walking/dancing if you will. And her dreams never come true.
That's deep man
Bro..
It's like 2 am here and istg this creep the shit outta me, but it's sad at the same time lol.
damn..
This is like the lady of the lake in The Haunting of Bly Manor
Even 10 years later this masterpiece is still known. This is my favourite song by Lana.
LYRICS:
I know you
I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you
That look in your eyes is so familiar, a gleam
And I know it's true
That visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream
I know you
I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you
That gleam in your eyes is so familiar, a gleam
And I know it's true
That visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream

they literally chose the right person for this soundtrack
There is something about his voice that rarely calms me down.
I don't even know what it is about this song that makes me release my emotions so rarely, it just relaxes me.
Rarely does this relax me, all this relaxes me, it has a touch that makes me calm and relax me.....
This song hypnotises me... 🖤

This song is kinda creepily beautiful.
I agree
Exactly!
I agree. I did not care for the song my first time watching Sleeping Beauty. This version is a great update.
I call it "The Serial Killer Version."
I💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖THIS SONG👿
YES, this song has been playing in my head and I finally found it 😭
Good God I love this song.
Not only did it fit the theme of the movie extremely well, but Lana's voice makes the song have such a haunting twist.
Also Disney used an old 1950s vintage microphone to make her voice sound different. Like she's on those old radios
Nikita Komatsu you guys do know this song is a remake right?
No bullshit Sherlock. I wonder where DISNEY'S maleficent came from.... Certainly not from an animated movie it's so original
MystiqueIRL lmao
👏👏👏👏👏
lawtonokieguy I swear this is the best thing I've read all day.
lawtonokieguy You should be an author
Lisa Lo that's true
you need to write a book
Disney why do we not have this talent anymore?…
Honestly, I don't think of super creepy things when I listen to this song. It's more mesmerizing than depressing to me, kind of like a spell, not necessarily an evil one, just one that's mysterious and haunting.
for me eerie and soothing. I really like it ;-)
+Kim Uitslag I've been listening to it non-stop for days 😅
yep
Truthfully, I think that it's as mysterious as it is depressing. It puts you in a mood you've never felt before, and keeps you there, waiting until you understand what it all means.
.
Better than the original to me, her voice completely changes the song into something beautifully sinister.
I agree!
Since Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed and Duke and the Great Pie War,everyone enjoys Royalty and Lulu Plummer was there for her. Lulu was never afraid of Maleficent.
Panda Express and Maleficent are Sacred. Not to Me but to Disney World they are.
@@bondseanbond5190 …What?

So haunting, and beautiful
Yes! Btw love you EOS video♥️
***** its giving me the chills
michelle irigoyen thank you!!
This song is incredibly nostalgic for me. They literally couldn’t have picked a better singer than Lana for this song.
my fave line is: "you'll love me at once. the way you did once upon a dream."
Kayla Nickole dude that's so weird I was reading your comment and that line started playing
Her voice is haunting, it's perfect for the Maleficent movie they knew they picked a good one.
Angelina Jolie hand picked her cause they're homies apparently
it's soooooooooo amazing.
This is haunting. It sounds like what you would hear if you were slowly dying and your whole life was played out in front of you.
Like at a ball.
Here's a POV: (btw i suck at writing)
You arrive at the ball at the perfect time, you see your love, he looks so handsome in that suit.
Oop- lmao

am i the only one who doesn't imagine war or death? honestly, every time i listen to this i'm just entranced and awed that i don't really think about anything
Me. This is lovely
I actually sing this to my younger sister as a lullaby and my mom thinks it's really beautiful
+jasmine me either I think it is such a dark and mysterious. I am using for my waltz for my quniceanera.
It reminded me of my mom, because I started singing along, and felt her presence. For the first time, after 3 years, it him me that I will never see her again. Sad, but a long overdue release.
+Wrongway I'm sorry
Man every time i hear this I imagine it playing in the background as someone walks through a creepy deserted hotel. All the lights are on. But no one is there. No sound to be heard. But this song.
I just think of someone walking through a creepy dark forest
I see an AC trailer kind of scenario with Arno and Elise, like a remaking of the ending ....'^~^ QAQ
beautiful..........
That would fit perfectly indeed
if "Jeff the killer" says so..! lol man ,creepy😂
I watched that film yesterday and... It was excellent, it was more than I expected. Angelina Jolie was amazing, she returned perfectly. And I heard this song at the credits of the film, I stayed in the theater and listened all the time.
Right an awesome yet haunting song!
I watched this movie yesterday too. And the the toddler Aurora, was Angelina Jolie's daughter
Caroline Rabia Yes Vivienne
Caroline Rabia thats cause she was the only child not to be afraid of Angelina in costume.
I actually stayed for the same reason! This song is perfect. I didn't really like Lana del Rey before
I don't feel this is a depressing and haunting song, but rather the exact moment someone is reuniting with a loved one, exact moment they are waking up from a sad and haunting state of mind.
Aw💗💗💗💗
I'm still a kid but I really wanna find true love wich is weird for me..
and now you’re shitting on her new music 💖 hate that for you
I'm a Psychiatrist.
I felt this in my soul
