I believe holding that center base was critical to the game. There were numerous attempts to put a base there with no real effort to stabilize. Harstem has the killer instincts of a couragios wolverine or a honey badger. Unfortunately, he visciously attacked into a herd of Serral's stampeding elephants.

That 2nd fight looked really winnable vs Serral tho it seems like 3 tempests weren’t hotkeyed (25:16) and so were 2 volleying instead of getting the oneshot. Was surprised during the game that any broods were left alive at the end and only noticed in the replay
seeing Thermy's video before this one made 2nd game feel like a horror story As for Serral, you should've known better mate. Him and Rogue are too good at dealing with skytoss, so you needed to outplay him on the spellcaster department which is no easy feat

you really wanted me to write something about how you could have beaten serral. so here it is from my small brain to your superior brain. first as you said, don't throw random immortals into the enemy base, but you already knew this yourself. second I think you should have hold out a bit more with air since he had alot of ultra's and lings. lastly it might be the worst idea ever, but maybe a couple of phoenix, they can either be a nuisance to the broodlords and corruptors, OR they can pick up some infestors that want to take over your units. again point 3 might be really dumb, but with your upgrades and all I thought it could have a chance. hopefully this is what you wanted from me (as you asked in the end of the video) and have a good one.
Scout scout scout scout get more information If the opposition has built a tier 2 or tier 3 unit before you knew they had the infrastructure to build it then you are not scouting well enough. Also voidrays are the counter to the corruptor + ultra. Ultras are to deal with any ground army like archons. The voids however deal with both of those and serral build the ultras blindly, so you didn't need to go into anything other than heavy voids with maybe 1 or 2 storms to win that fight. I notice you are already really hesitant to do things vs serral in particular. For sure he is amazing and hard to kill for a reason but everyone is human so look for some weakness in his timings to exploit using any form of scouting.
I never seen a Zerg (pullout) huge concave where their surround and hide their army under the fog of war waiting for the correct moment to fight from the POV of the zerg enemy. Thats kinda terrifying if you are not used to it. Like been given a false sense of victory

We almost got closure, Serral never dropping a map to Harsten since 2017, a new era was going to be ushered in here, the ERA OF HARSTEN, I can only envy the timeline where you pushed early with the carriers, not waiting for +3, and won.
that first game is painful to watch. the opener was funny and great but the late game was sad. no idea why GM+ toss haven't started using DTs to make archons yet (like alphastar showed you how to do years ago). You just need 2 stargates and 1 robo and ~6 gates on up to 4 bases (then make 1 more stargate and robo and then spam gates). make 2 carrier and immortal constantly and then max out with archons from DTs at around 10 mins and a move into his main. just make sure to target the corrupters with the archons when they dive the carriers. you could literally have maxed at 10 mins and just A moved across the map. you probably would have lost like 3 units max in the fight with the ultras and corrupters where instead you lost your whole army with your composition. name a zerg army available at 10 mins that beats archon immortal carrier, especially when he was making a bunch of roaches and lings in the game. not ultras, not lurkers, not corrupters, not even a field of spores and queens, not hydra and infester shroud. there is not a single zerg army that can beat that in a straight up fight, which you will be forcing them into. good luck and have fun.
