Yea umbridge definitely stole the title from gaunt. And the minister allowed everything that she did. She reveled in her abilities when Voldemort took over the ministry because they let her have free reign. Gaunt was by no means less evil but stayed hidden and kept her niece prisoner through torture and the dark arts. Umbridge was publicly torturing everyone and anything that was a pureblood witch or wizard
@@OldSchoolGenius not only that but while she was wearing the horcrux and torturing people it gave her so much joy she could have a patronus sat next to her
I absolutely agree. Gormlaith was the worst. Bella trip was awful and killed her niece but she didn’t kill her sister and bro in law and steal their child only to abuse her too.
I think Frank and Alice Longbottom would disagree. And Bellatrix was quite ready to sacrifice her nephew in HBP (telling her sister that she should be proud that Draco had been given a suicide mission was very low).
Bellatrix had a close relationship with both of her sisters but I don’t think Gormlaith had a close friendship with her sister… that’s probably a really big difference… and I think Bella died young than her tho lol
A total of 23 Actors have died since the Philosopher's Stone movie was first released. Besides the obvious passing of Richard Harris (Dumbledore), other notable deaths include Alan Rickman (Snape), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley), Helen McRory (Narcissa Malfoy), and John Hurt (Ollivander). All great actors, many taken well before their time.
So true. That being said, have you seen Harry Mellick (Dudley) in Ballad of Buster Scruggs or The Pale Blue Eye? That guy is one hell of an actor... I think he's going to blow up in the next few years.
A note about Slytherin's lineage...because of the incomplete records of the time, isn't it likely, with all the pureblood families being inter-related, that most magical families carry traces of Slytherin's genes? Sure, the snake talk was probably lost over time, but with the habit of prioritizing the family name through the lines of the _sons,_ they tend to forget about the _daughters,_ except when one was of age to marry a cousin. If there was no cousin available, she probably married into some other pureblood family. It would only be with the constant cousin marriage that the snake talk stayed in the family's line, and their near constant refusal to marry any but a close relative to ensure pure-blooded stature, but they'd forget about those other daughters early on. There's probably traces of Slytherin genetics all over the place, especially if you include the idea that not every witch or wizard is going to remain faithful before or after marriage.
The fact of getting married only with cousins greatly restrains the parseltongue as much as one can imagine that given their desire to keep their pure blood they are even ready to make marriage between brother and sister. Some who have this gene but are nice may choose not to have children so as not to pass it on. But in any case if you are a descendant of Salazar you will necessarily be a parseltongue.
@@MrJoueurdusalon My comment was more along the lines of "if you aren't around snakes much, you don't know you have it" which, in a sense, can lead to it being lost....at least until some weird Muggle kid comes along because his grandmother was a squib kicked out of her family for not being able to perform magic. After I learned that attendance at Hogwards was not compulsory, then I pictured some poor muggleborn kid being denied the chance to learn magic because their parents said no and send him to the Muggle world instead, and if he's lucky, he gets rich snakebreeding or doing snake performances, but not able to tell people he can literally talk to snakes.
@@MrJoueurdusalon So what I didn't get around to explicitly saying, there's probably enough holes in Slytherin's early family tree to create some...interesting things.. Hell there is for any pureblood family that saws off the bad parts by kicking them out of the Wizarding world or otherwise suppressing one type of power to favor another, but you get my point.
There’s one thing I can’t stop thinking about here and it’s that both Gormlaith and Bella acts through relationships and can’t really be compared in their evil to Grindelwald or Voldemort. As we know those to wanted to rule and I don’t know if there was an evil witch who identified as evil and wanted to bend the wizarding world to their will, except maybe Umbridge
There was morgana who was Merlin’s nemesis and she’s the most powerful by far and tried to actually start her own rebellion against muggles it’s just not very well touched on
@@mathewkanapilly796 which once again shows how overdue a TV series or another movie series is about Merlin, Morgana and the four Founders of Hogwarts. See more of their motives (especially Salazar), their relationships, their background and what kind of Wizards and Witches they were. It would be an opportunity to fill up some plotholes and grant more insight into the world and a deeper look into the past. Stuff I never understood like Slytherin wants Pure-Bloods but accepts Half-Bloods? Merlin, Snape and even Voldemort himself were Half-Bloods which kinda goes against Slytherins values. When a Half-Blood has one magical and one muggle parent, aren't they if we follow that logic theoretically worth less than the offspring of a Pure-Blood that married a Muggle-Born? I mean it has two magical parents instead of one afterall. Wouldn't that make Muggle-Born Witches and Wizards a better Partner for Pure/Half Bloods? Better than a normal Muggle of course. And you would produce something more than a Half-Blood - you technically have a 3/4 Blood then? Also If a pure blood Wizard marries a muggle-born Wizard is the pure blood worth less in the eyes of the supremacists? But muggleborns are still Wizards? And they accept Half-Bloods? Would their offspring be "wizardy" enough to be elected a Slytherin (or for that matter even a Death Eater), if a mudblood is a parent? It theoretically should. If we go after what we know it should be more frowned upon to marry a Muggle than a Muggle-Born Witch or Wizard. A Halfblood is theoretically less of a Wizard than the offspring of a Pure-Blood and a Mud-Blood but somehow Muggle-Borns are the most hated Wizardkind of the Purists. They should think very little of Half-Bloods as well - I mean the superior Wizard decided to mix their pure magical blood with Muggle-Blood and therefore forever made his bloodline "muddy". Those are things that need clarification because the more you think about it the less sense it makes. The whole Basilisk situation is also something that isn't clarified enough imo. Also it seems kinda stupid and extra for Slytherin to do that. If it attacks Muggle-Borns and not Half-Bloods, how does it know? It should theoretically smell the proportion of Muggle-Blood. Which would mean that the Basilisk is more of a protection against Muggles instead of a weapon against some students. Which would make sense given that Salazars hatred was against Muggles for persecution of Wizard-Folk for centuries and not specifically against Muggle-Borns. I understand that Salazar wouldn't trust them at all because they are between the worlds and could betray the Wizarding World but anyway I think the Basilisk is more of a protection against Muggle-Invasions instead of a hitman for Muggle-Born students. They definetly have enough material to go into the story of the founders. And a lot of things need to be clarified so we don't depend too much on fanfiction and headcanon because we lack information.
@@mathewkanapilly796 If you look at the history of early accounts of the story of Merlin and Arthur and Camelot you see that originally Morgana was helpful and ambiguous not evil and not a villain. It was just when Christian religion tended to depict her that way. Also where does it say she was trying to rebel against the Muggles I’ll have to find that
Dolores was more evil than Voldemort or Grindelwald. Neither of them could produce a Patronus charm because neither of them could bring a memory of sheer joy and happiness to the forefront of their minds. Umbridge could produce a fully formed cat Patronus because she actually enjoyed torturing people, children included.
When you consider how Gormlaith was easily struct down by a poisoned arrow to the heart. It makes me wonder why nobody from the Ministry, Hogwarts or allies of Harry didn't think to hire a sharpshooter with a military grade sniper rifle to take Voldemort out? We know that the Death Eaters would never resort to employing muggles for their own purposes, but for anyone who is muggle-born, who have watched military or police themed action films and TV, they should have considered recruiting a muggle that is special forces who could one shot Voldemort from a distance. As far as we know for all his dark magic and power, Voldemort isn't immune to taking a bullet to the head. Like Gormlaith his body can die, and even if he gets revived again, so long as he gets taken out even just momentarily then the Death Eaters would lose their will to fight, giving the good guys an big advantage.
Wizards look down on killing, which is why the killing curse is unforgivable, and why Voldemort was so feared. Using the killing curse causes irreparable damage to the soul, and Voldemort handed it out like candy. Couple that with the fact he had seven horcruxes, Voldemort wasn't just a person, he was basically a lich. He was an eternal evil with such a terrifying legacy of murder and torture that most wizards were terrified of even saying his name. They didn't use muggle weapons because, one, it would martyr Voldemort to the pureblood supremacists, and muggle weapons are vastly inferior to magic. A wand can cause explosions, freeze people in place, transfigure guns into harmless animals, and even create magical shields.
@@TheFuronMothership Liches can be killed, just destroy their phylactery. Also depending on the distance a sniper's bullet is impossible to hear. So Voldemort and his minions wouldn't hear it.
@@Knightwolf1994 Voldemort just happens to be a lich with 7 phylacteries, the majority of which nobody knew were, and the lot of which were hidden all over the wizarding world. They could probably put two and two together. One tracking spell later, and the sniper is faced with half a dozen angry, murderous Death Eaters.
Or they could have ordered a group of top aurors to sign up for special forces, they get good duplicate few sniper rifles, sneak off after erasing the memories of their commanding officers, and then amp those sniper rifles with magic.
Btw it was normal to marry your cousins in the British Wizarding families since the community is so small. The Gaunts were especially fanatical cause they took this a step further. If you actually look at the family tree they would result to sibling marriages. Tom Riddles grandparents were actually sibling
Yes I believe it's even mentioned that the only reason the Malfoys weren't super inbred was because they tended to be involved in muggle politics and so occasionally married half bloods to keep things fresh, though Lucius and Narcissa were cousins since the Malfoys were mentioned to have married into the black family at least twice in recent generations. Sirius in order of the Phoenix mentions how his family the Blacks practiced inbreeding as well since they were such blood purists, and he suspected that likely contributed to their notorious madness. It's very likely most of the sacred 28 are inbred at least those that were against marrying muggles or half bloods. Draco kinda rebelled though with his marriage since while he married Astoria Greengrass who was a pure blood and from a noble house his parents didn't approve because she wasn't from the sacred 28.
I wonder if we may get more info on Morgana Le Fey in the HP universe 🤔, she was the enemy of Merlin and my theory is that she most likely was a student of the French school of magic or a transfer to Hogwarts.
Dolores Umbridge is much more evil. She wouldn't have hesitated to do any of things Gorna did and would have actually enjoyed it. Dolores was the only death eater who could use the Patronus charm because she actually enjoyed torturing people, children included. You need to be able to produce a memory of sheer joy and happiness to be able to cast a Patronus and to be able to hold that memory at the forefront of your mind to be able to make it full formed. In DnD terms it's a concentration spell, not a cantrip with an immediate effect. Dolores can produce a fully formed cat Patronus because she relishes the pain and suffering she's inflicting on others. At least with Bellatrix her evilness stemmed from insanity mixed with twisted beliefs and Gorna seems to follow that pattern. Dolores is on another level.
Wait is this canon? When was it explained that she can cast a patronus because of that? Also Snape was also a death eater. I don't think it is even completely canon that death eaters are not able to cast a patronus. As far as I know that is just a saying/prejudice in the wizarding world but wasn't scientifically studied. Maybe they can't cast a patronus because most of them have never tried? Or because people who become death eaters are maybe more likely have mental health issues or experienced an abusive childhood.Draco for example was loved by his parents but also emotionally abused by his parents his whole life. The patronus charm is not taught at Hogwarts. So how many people would even have tried learning it in their life? It's not like most people in real life just study an advanced subject they'll probably never need like the chemistry of Organosilicon elements when they are out of school for fun.
How about Morgan Le Fay? Unfortunately there are numerous stories about her, but some of them she's a healer, and then most of them she's incredibly dangerous. But she is generally portrayed as being evil. I just don't know where her evil scales to Gormlaith (and keep in mind, if Merlin was real in the Harry Potter universe, then almost certainly Morgan Le Fay was).

She'd be my vote too. Would love to get more Harry-Potter-cannon details on the terrible acts this version of the character committed, or what made her an understandable antagonist.
@@N1korasu Well they regard Merlin as the greatest wizard of all time. She was his nemesis and evil. There is no indicator he ever 'beat' her. If you go off the popular fan theory that the HP universe Merlin and other such figures are the same as our mythos...well, yea, strong evil-witch for sure.
I see them like this: Gormlaith 1st, Bellabitch 2nd, Umbitch 3rd, Vinda Rosier 4th, won't doubt if she becomes Gridelwald's Bella. Yes Umbridge wasn't as evil as Bellatrix or Gormlaith, but you did overlook her. All those "Educational decrees" they are quiet evil. One less known evil witch: Skeeter, she spied as an insect and didn't care about the impact on Hagrid's life once his secret of being a half giant is out. All she cared about was herself and made it a matter of Ego, once Hermione showed her the true face. Horrible woman Rita Skeeter, although not as wicked as the previous ones.
I don't know. I actually tend to think of Umbridge's evil as the worst sort. Bellatrix and Gormlaith never, ever pretended to be anything other dark hearted evil and they reveled in that. Umbridge was "just following orders" and didn't care at all where they came from; in her mind every action she took was perfectly justified and she allowed her nastiest impulses to run wild under the umbrella of that sanction. That sort of evil is the worst because it will never recognize itself.
@@angelaharris53 You know she was able to cast a Patronus charm. Yes you're right, "I am right" is the worst sort of problem. But I guess, Bellatrix also thought: I am doing nothing evil. I have all the rights to kill my niece because she's a mud-blood's daughter. She is the same as Umbridge. Bellatrix and Gormlaith felt no guilt just like Umbridge. Didn't recognize the consequences of their actions. Hell! she was sitting like a queen when she was questioned by Crouche. She did nothing wrong in her head when she tortured the Longbottoms. So every evil Witch is noble in her own head. So Umbridge isn't an exception, she is the rule. Skeeter too, although she's not as Evil, but she did nothing wrong in her head when she painted Hermione as a golddigger, was about to destroy Bagman. and when she wrote Dumbledore's life as a lie. She thought she's doing all things good, but actually she was a Gossiping Corrupt woman. And every Agony aunt thinks, she's a good gentle lady. Uh! Party Politics and Journalists, ugly people. Don't start me on Conservatives now.
Salazar Slytherin is actually Herpo the Foul. Since he can’t die and his Horcrux was unknown and never recovered, he would systematically go from place to place after a temporary period of time, so no-one would get suspicious of his longevity and lack of expected aging.
good theory one i would have never thought of, the closest to that idea was in the star trek t.o.s episode "requiem for methuselah" where an immortal named flint was revealed to be da vinci and brahms
I always thought that Morgan La Fay was the most evil witch, given that she was Merlins nemesis and decidated to destroy everything he had ever built or created, and while i cannot remember 100% but i think even her magic witch or wizard card states her as the mightiest dark witch of all time.
I was actually about to go to sleep now but when i got this notification i immediately watched through all of this haha Your voice is so comfortable to listen to Thanks for your incredible videos
I suppose the other candidate is Morganna le Fey but everyone knows about that one, I do wonder how her in universe lore differs from Arthurian legend though
I think Umbridge was/is the most evil witch. She had the support of the Ministry of Magic to back up her barbaric practices while her time at Hogwarts. Umbridge was never questioned by the Ministry for her foul behavior. And her little giggle laugh is just icing.
Im not sure if this was said but Azult was a descendant of Morgana ((who was an exceedingly powerful witch) who was herself ( referring to Morgana) is a direct descendant of Merlin)) and Salazar Slytherin
While Gormlaith was certainly a horrible woman, her impact on the Wizarding world was rather limited. Her evil deeds mostly influenced a small area around a secluded valley and her own family. What makes her more evil than Bellatrix is likely that she did all this of her own accord while Bellatrix would have likely been just a very unpleasant person if it hadn‘t been for ol‘ Tommy to elevate and educate her. However, I think there are some possible evil witches left. As Rowling obviously included most famous witches and wizards from legend (while of course especially concentrating on British folklore, one could assume that ALL important magic users, maybe including some characters depicted as demi-gods in legend) are all canon within the Wizarding World. That assumption opens the door for many very interesting figures, like Baba Jaga from (Eastern) Slavic folklore, Yamauba and Yuki Onna from Japanese legend, Kirke from Greek mythology,Ljot from Icelandic sagas or Mórrígan (or Mór-Ríoghain) from celtic/Irish folklore. And one that actually is mentioned not only on Pottermore or other auxiliary texts by Rowling, but in the books themselves (and therefore without doubt canon): Morgan (alternative: Morgaine la Fée). I think that this references Morgan Le Fay from the Arthur legend (considering that Merlin is definitely mentioned). And she would be a very strong contender for most evil witch in history. Some people see Mórrígan as antetype for Morgan, making her an even stronger contender. Plus, most of those legends date back to times far before even the foundation of Hogwarts. It is clear that pure-blood supremacy is well established around the year 1000 AD, as Hogwarts was founded around that time and the fallout between Godric, Rowena and Helga on the one and Salazar on the other side revolved around allowing every magically gifted person into the school - a mindset, therefore, that caused much of the evil actions performed by basically all evil characters within the books (and also Gormlaith). On the other hand, many of the older witches of folklore are just evil for the sake of evil. They often have some sort of agency, but reaching their goal will simply result in a new one, continuing the evil. Plus, their impact on the Wizarding World (and the world at large) is huge, considering they lived so long ago, there is not much written evidence of their doings but they are still known today - in the Wizarding World as well as in Muggle legends.
I would really like to see a live action series of Isolt Sayer and her journey, not to mention seeing Gormlaith Gaunt's twisted sense of blood purity. I really want to see William the Pukwudgie.
I love your videos but I have to ask, where are you getting all the information from? There seems to be so much information that greatly expands on the lore that I apparently have no idea is even out there.
Im rewatching the movies on syfy, and wondering why lupin suspected harry was a fake after they retuned to the borrows, but also why did he man handle so roughly to throw him against a wall
because he knew someone told the death eaters about their plan of the seven potters. Anyone of the people which took part at moving harry to the burrow could be an impostor
No sooner had Mrs. Weasley bent over her son than Lupin grabbed Harry by the upper arm and dragged him, none too gently, back into the kitchen, where Hagrid was still attempting to ease his bulk through the back door. “Oi!” said Hagrid indignantly. “Le’ go of him! Le’ go of Harry!” Lupin ignored him. “What creature sat in the corner the first time that Harry Potter visited my office at Hogwarts?” he said, giving Harry a small shake. “Answer me!” “A - a grindylow in a tank, wasn’t it?” Lupin released Harry and fell back against a kitchen cupboard. “Wha’ was tha’ about?” roared Hagrid. “I’m sorry, Harry, but I had to check,” said Lupin tersely. “We’ve been betrayed. Voldemort knew that you were being moved tonight and the only people who could have told him were directly involved in the plan. You might have been an impostor.” “So why aren’ you checkin’ me?” panted Hagrid, still struggling to fit through the door. “You’re half-giant,” said Lupin, looking up at Hagrid. “The Polyjuice Potion is designed for human use only.”
It's better explained in the books. No one was supposed to know that they were moving harry from private drive 4 days before his birthday. The reason why death eaters knew was because Snape planted the idea in mundeogus fletcher's head to move harry early with 7 decoy Harry's. Snapr gave voldmort the correct date to keep his cover. He modified fletcher memory afterwards Lupin was rough with harry because he thought he may have been a spy pretending to be harry. Sort of like Mad eye in the 4th book. Also the question he asked him about the grindylow was not included in the third movie so it makes no since for him to ask it because move going audience's may not gave read the book. This scene and Aberforth's mirror really both me about the deathy hallows film adaptation. They rely too much on knowing the book.
This is the second video today I’ve heard people in two different fandoms mix up the terms “ancestor” and “descendent.” Ancestors came before you. The younger person (Isolt here) is not Salazar’s ancestor! She is his dependent!
I love Voldemort, the Death Eaters and pure blood families. He was/is my favorite character in the Harry Potter series. I always root for the villains. They’re always right and have legitimate reasons for their beliefs, opinions, and actions. I understand why they hate muggles. The British Witch Trials, Salem Witch Trials and other mass murders and atrocities towards anyone believe to have been witches were all committed by muggles, unprovoked.
"They're Always right and have legitimate reasons...." The simple fact that Muggle born wizards exist states that Voldemort "blood theory" is irrelevant. Magic just manifest itself through even non magical lineages so it doesn't Care who is inbreed and for how many generations. Granted this is a world of fiction i Hope your" views" are not the same in real life...if so you should see somebody, respectfully.
Umbridge, who could conjure up a patronous wearing the locket. And Bellatrix is very cruel but, she wasn't "powerful" as people think. As Dumbledore said, people's fear towards them and their ruthlessness and cruelty made them dangerous, and their close association with voldy which gave them social and political power. Not their own magical power.
Has anyone ever examined parseltongue? I mean what's so special about it? I get it's rare. It seems to be genetic. And it seems to travel down the Slytherin...but...my question is so what? I don't get what's special about it? What good does it serve to talk to serpentine creatures? They are not the strongest or most dangerous beasts in the Potterverse. Is it magical? Could a parselmouth control Nagini? Why didn't Nagini need to be spoken to in paseltongue? I just don't see why it was ever included at all....
When Herpo created the Basilisk he made it so only a parseltongue could control it and then made sure that parseltongue was passed down to 100% of all descendants. A specific family bio-weapon if you will a bio-weapon able to kill with a look from a young age and eat a horse whole in its adult age. By using a horcrux one of Herpo's descendants could live for ever and have a living siege engine that can live for around 1000 years and tank most forms of magical attacks.
I have to agree with you. At least Bellatrix didn't kidnap and try to brain wash any children.. at least that we know of. This sounds way worse then a battle between adults where one loses and dies witch is what happened with siris and tonks. And Bellatrix didn't torture Neville.
Didn't she torture both Hermione and Neville in the books? You have to remember something. Bellatrix Lestrange was in Azkaban for the greater portion of the story. If given a opportunity she would have definitely tortured anyone she fought with a smile on her face. And the Death Eaters were in fact attempting to influence the populace through fear. When the Death Eaters gained hold, the Carrows would punish disobedient students using the Cruciatus Curse. There was a incident where Snape protected Ginny, Luna, and Neville from the Carrows by sending them off to the Forbidden Forest when they misbehaved.
If it was true that Bellatrix had a Daughter with Voldemort, I believe it must have been very early in his adult life, before he started making horcruxes. First of all it would mean he must have had sex with her and considering what happened to his nose due to extensive use of dark arts, one can only guess what happened to him down there.🤫
Very curious lol, always felt if he had intercourse, after his transformation it would have been with nagini, she was once a woman I suppose she would have told him so it wouldn't be too weird.
One contender I think could be Morgana LeFey. The fact that she was perhaps the most powerful witch and Merlin’s nemesis. So we can guess she practiced dark magic so powerful that it could rival the most powerful wizard in history. They must be pretty darn bad. But I understand why most people wouldn’t mention her. We need to know more at least in this universe.
Gormlaith is the magical version of petunia dursley so creates a situation to bump off those that were in her way just like how petunia would use gossip to put an end to someone who would get in her way of something she wanted both used their relatives as indentured slaves and were treated like scum both used people's perceptions to lay waste to said relatives reputation and seen them as a means to an end and both got what was coming to them gormlaith locked up and petunia forced to realize that she had a good thing with harry not wanting to take revenge he so rightly deserved but telling her and her family to get out of town or become a few nice and dead bodies in both victims becoming better human beings then their respective tormentors and both end up finding what gormlaith and petunia never did love and happiness
Earlyyy! I’ve been watching this since the start of the pandemic and it’s the sole reason I always win the Harry Potter cards in trivia pursuit! I still pop in time to time (like now)
I think it was inhumane to Keep the Long bottoms in a hospital for their entire lives. Especially knowing that their situation would never improve. A constant state of agony. The wizard world is fully Capable of granting them a peaceful deified ending.
The whole Delphi thing doesn't make sense to me. 1. Can a man who has no soul and who has been transformed by the dark arts so much actually produce a child? 2. Why would he have a child when he himself is not pure blooded and would only be producing another half-breed as they would call it. 3. LOVE? Isn't like the biggest thing about Voldermort is that he loves no one and doesn't understand it which is why he kept losing?
This was interesting 👍 Too bad JK Rowling or whoever came up with this didn't think to add, "And with Morgalith's last dying breath she laid a curse on Illvermorny that her soul would be forever within the school and one day she would purge it of all she considered unclean" but I guess that's a little too much like Salazar Slytherin.
2:32 That directory was really biased, some pure-blood families were ignored because they were too sympatic to muggles and muggles-born. And others were ignored for unknown reasons. 4:57 you mean, "pure blood descendant of Salazar Slytherin"? I think Gormlaith was indeed worst. At least, Bellatrix never murdered her sister or tried to brainwash her niece. Though given the chance, she certainly would have.
I don't think that Voldemort bred. With Bellatrix, or any other witch. The theory has been stated that Voldemort, and Bellatrix, married with the idea of producing an heir. I posit that first of all, there was no reason why Voldemort, would have needed an heir. He was at that point immortal. As long as any of the horcruxes remained he could not die. Second, Bellatrix and by extension Voldemort, and any of the Death Eaters, being purely evil, are not capable of love. So therefore Bellatrix couldn't have fallen in love. I believe that Bellatrix craved power. And being united with Voldemort, would make her the most powerful witch in the Wizarding World. Craving power is not love by any stretch of the imagination. I also don't believe that Voldemort was capable of breeding. He would have found that kind of intimacy repulsive. Of course all of this is just my opinion.
I wonder if this Evil Witch might appear someday in either new (HARRY POTTER) movies? Or if this (Most Evil Witch) might be mentioned in the (HARRY POTTER) show series?
Thought the most evil witch is my Organic chemistry professor at uni. She poisoned my colleagues and me with ethyl-acetate. She also burned me with high concentrated hydrochloric acid during lab practice (thankfully, I'm okay). Oral exam with her as an examiner was pure hell. P.S. Great video, as always.
I don't think Bellatrix would have any problem to do all of that as well. I guess she didn't have the opportunity

Who did?
@@josephallsee3162 Something like 20+ actors from the movies have died

Agreed RIP to all the good Actors and Actresses that both made that great Movie Series and the many that have died from others.
@@MrJoueurdusalon I think you are slightly misinterpreting what I am saying there...
@@ZeoViolet What I mean is that parseltongue is not lost after X generations, which you seem to say the opposite.
Geez. This is why there needs to be some kind of series on witches and wizards we haven’t seen before. Great video.
There was morgana who was Merlin’s nemesis and she’s the most powerful by far and tried to actually start her own rebellion against muggles it’s just not very well touched on
Because females act off emotions and that what fuels them. Not power like men. In real life this is true to. If you disagree just look at history

I don't know; pretty hard choice between Gormla Gaunt & Bellatrix Lestrange. Good video. Thanks.
The Targaryens of the Wizarding World
They sound just like the Hapsburgs. Intermarry too much to keep the bloodlines pure, resulting in too much inbreeding.
I wonder if we may get more info on Morgana Le Fey in the HP universe 🤔, she was the enemy of Merlin and my theory is that she most likely was a student of the French school of magic or a transfer to Hogwarts.
Original Morgana was a necromancy student in a Christian convent in England, so I'd expect some inferi
Most likely Ravenclaw, Merlin was a Slytherin.

The problem with Morgan is that we know very little of her outside of Muggle legends. How wizards see it will be different.
I was actually about to go to sleep now but when i got this notification i immediately watched through all of this haha
Your voice is so comfortable to listen to
Thanks for your incredible videos
I suppose the other candidate is Morganna le Fey but everyone knows about that one, I do wonder how her in universe lore differs from Arthurian legend though
I think Umbridge was/is the most evil witch. She had the support of the Ministry of Magic to back up her barbaric practices while her time at Hogwarts. Umbridge was never questioned by the Ministry for her foul behavior. And her little giggle laugh is just icing.
Bffr umbridge is evil but not the most evil witch lol
Im not sure if this was said but Azult was a descendant of Morgana ((who was
an exceedingly powerful witch) who was herself ( referring to Morgana) is a direct descendant of Merlin)) and Salazar Slytherin
Now I have to admit something, I would be a fan of watching a multiple film about the setting up of Ilvermorny school.
I'd say her and Beltrix were pretty even in the evil department.
Gormlaith Gaunt was actually similar to Voldemort, she used dark magic to try and extend her life.
It’s extended lore written by JK Rowling herself
Im rewatching the movies on syfy, and wondering why lupin suspected harry was a fake after they retuned to the borrows, but also why did he man handle so roughly to throw him against a wall
because he knew someone told the death eaters about their plan of the seven potters. Anyone of the people which took part at moving harry to the burrow could be an impostor
No sooner had Mrs. Weasley bent over her son than Lupin
grabbed Harry by the upper arm and dragged him, none too gently,
back into the kitchen, where Hagrid was still attempting to ease his
bulk through the back door.
“Oi!” said Hagrid indignantly. “Le’ go of him! Le’ go of Harry!”
Lupin ignored him.
“What creature sat in the corner the first time that Harry Potter
visited my office at Hogwarts?” he said, giving Harry a small shake.
“Answer me!”
“A - a grindylow in a tank, wasn’t it?”
Lupin released Harry and fell back against a kitchen cupboard.
“Wha’ was tha’ about?” roared Hagrid.
“I’m sorry, Harry, but I had to check,” said Lupin tersely. “We’ve
been betrayed. Voldemort knew that you were being moved tonight
and the only people who could have told him were directly involved
in the plan. You might have been an impostor.”
“So why aren’ you checkin’ me?” panted Hagrid, still struggling
to fit through the door. “You’re half-giant,” said Lupin, looking up at Hagrid. “The
Polyjuice Potion is designed for human use only.”
He modified fletcher memory afterwards
Lupin was rough with harry because he thought he may have been a spy pretending to be harry. Sort of like Mad eye in the 4th book.
Also the question he asked him about the grindylow was not included in the third movie so it makes no since for him to ask it because move going audience's may not gave read the book.

Do you think bellatrix wouldn’t torture Neville though?

The moment I decided to click on this video I knew who my answer was and frankly I'm very happy and pleased to see that we agreed
Have you made a video about elves? Dobby and their powers compared to wizards? Dobby seems to humiliate Malfoy even without the wand.
The video was interesting. What is the source material for it?
Can't see Voldemort being interested in Bellatrix or sex for that matter.
This was interesting 👍
Too bad JK Rowling or whoever came up with this didn't think to add, "And with Morgalith's last dying breath she laid a curse on Illvermorny that her soul would be forever within the school and one day she would purge it of all she considered unclean" but I guess that's a little too much like Salazar Slytherin.
Where do you get all this information from is there more books?
I really wish they would go more into this entire universe by making more movies games and maybe even books.
Them: The most evil witch...
Me: Umbridge!
Them: ...Gormlaith Gaunt.
Me: Oh... No. I'm sticking with Umbridge.
Thank you for your incredible work
Too bad we don't know more about Morgane, she could have this title.
But wait? How could she discover that she was a parselmouth when there are no snakes in Ireland?
I would’ve guessed Dolores Umbridge as the most evil witch.
No, Bellatrix is far more evil than Gormlaith, and if I'm being honest, I think Umbridge was more evil than both of them.
This is CHILDS PLAY to anything belatrix did
2:32 That directory was really biased, some pure-blood families were ignored because they were too sympatic to muggles and muggles-born.
I agree with you, sex does not necessarily equal love.
Where did you get this information? Did you write it?
Extended lore written by JK Rowling
Is this uploaded 2nd time? How do I know all these already?
What is the title or the animation you used?
Awesome as always thanks ❤
When it comes to most evil witch I’d put Umbridge up among them.
I wonder if this Evil Witch might appear someday in either new (HARRY POTTER) movies?
Or if this (Most Evil Witch) might be mentioned in the (HARRY POTTER) show series?
Supoib! Love your channel! My Monday is so much better!
Where can i find all those texts that aren't in the books ?
... Umbridge?
somewhere up on this list 😅
00:34 without looking any further yeah Gormlaith Gaunt about as evil as they come , i watched the origins of Ilvermorney (now back to the show )
Where does all this information from this video come from? Are there more books that I haven't read? Is there another movie that I have not seen yet?
Pottermore website probably. J.K Rowling oversees the website and adds lore to that site from time to time
If Merlin is in Harry Potter lore, is Morgan Le Faye (Morgana)?
Where is the next video? This was yesterday
Was looking at the merch and wondered if u misspelled Hagrid’s name on purpose
I like your contents,keep it up👍😀
So, if this woman is the most evil witch, then Bellatrix is the most psychotic!!!!!!
What about Morgana? I thought she was supposed to be pretty bad too. Didn’t they make a Chocolate Frog card for her?
The only possible Witch that I can think of that may have been more evil was Morgan Le Fay !
[ Merlin is mentioned in Harry Potter so ... ]
Le Faye?
Gormlaith was absolutely evil! However, I challenge that Bellatrix was less evil than Delores Umbridge.
Very interesting one, really enjoyed it!
OMG?
Is half blood or muggle blood wizard more powerful than a pure blooded wizard, due to understanding a bit of normal human minds in creativity?
Umbridge is the most evil character in any form of fiction.
