Great review bud , came here after watching ThinkPad e14 video. Loved it .
Should improve on your sound recording and desk .

Thanks for the warm words. Working out what camera kit to go for next (audio is part of that jigsaw). Sounds like something to dampening the table is needed.

Great review 👍 so good, could you do the new ThinkPad edge E15 G2 1135g7 + MX450 ? Haven't seen any reviews yet

Thanks for your warm words. Haven't really seen many Tiger lake systems just yet, imagine that they'll gradually appear. We generally may try to minimise the video overlaps given that we have limited time; e.g. if we upload a E14 (AMD) review, then we might have to skip the models too closely related (inc Intel). 🙂

@@GreenGreenStore fair enough, I like how you spoke about the different screens and sure view issue, I don't like it at all, I just returned a hp and going back to the trusty ThinkPad. I think it's not less about the model of laptop and more about the configuration that can make a laptop great or sub-par

    What's the difference between G7 and G8

    • @GreenGreenStore
      @GreenGreenStore  Рік тому

Marginally better performance on the later model. That's about it. G7 is pretty good.

I think HP gives huge bonus on display bezel. Lol

Thank you for the EliteBook review, I had been wondering about how these compared to ThinkPads in 2020.
Do you know if the keyboards in all current ThinkPads are the same as the keyboard on the X1 Carbon 6th Gen? My partner owns one and I really love the keyboard but I was looking at a cheaper model like an L/E14 and I'm worried that the key travel/keyboard flex/accuracy might not be as good.

T490 / Carbon X1 7 / Yoga 4 onwards have less keypad travel. They'll feel a bit different - it's the direction of travel it seems.
The 2020 L and T series might share the same keypad. It's decent as you can find. Still making up my mind about the E14 keypad. 😄

@@GreenGreenStore Thank you so much, I knew I could rely on you guys. It was really hard to find this information elsewhere. Most reviewers just say the keyboards are "great" but only in comparison to other laptop manufacturers. There are a lot of comparisons between the old IBM style keyboards and the newer chiclet styles, but no real distinction between the different variations of the chiclet keyboards found on ThinkPads.

Hi! What memory kit (64gb) have you used for this test? I tried to purchase Samsung 3200mhz cl19 but it was bot recognised by bios. Please share pn if possible. Tks a lot in advance!

Is the screen valid for light editing? It doesn't seem to have a washed effect but

Err it's okay for the emails and everyday stuff, you'd want an external screen really for editing.

Hello there , i need some help with my hp 855 g7 and i would like to know your opinion.
I bought it with 1tb ssd and becouse of lack storage i want upgrade it to 2Tb.
On official datasheet says on storage up to 1tb. That is confusing because did they mean up to 1tb from hp or generaly up to 1tb?
So here my question can i upgrade my hp elitebook 855 g7 on 2tb ssd .
    Thank you very much.

Look up SSD upgrade site. :) can’t recall if this model only accepts the thinner single sided SSD which isn’t available in the larger sizes.
