In short, Buddhism ruined the old Hindu traditions. It's interesting how carefully the words are chosen to not offend anyone. There is even not a single word for Buddhism except a hint of Mahavir.
One thing which I got to know about our old civilisation from this video is that our civilisation strictly saperated education from economy and was against the capitalisation of it. If we give it a deep thought then we can understand that why it makes much more sense than the opposite. Education is something that which is above anything tangible, it is not created by anyone, it is the result of thousands of years old knowledge and research. It is just sensible that it should be a part of everyone's life in that civilisation but because we don't evolve that fast and does not have it by default, therefore it must be given by elders. Education is one of the building blocks of any civilisation whereas economy is just a part of a civilisation.
