Yo dawgs, long time no UA-cam. I’m back. I’ve been working on a bunch of other Shred Shack things (website, new hoodie drop, new reviews). Don’t want you guys thinking I’m stopping this YT channel. I’m definitely not stopping, in fact I see myself doing this for a very long time.
Easily the best channel I've found for cruiser reviews. Currently trying to decide between the Pilsner, Poke, Coyote, and Oso so these reviews have been awesome! Keep doing what youre doing!
Thanks Michael, I really appreciate that. I have the Oso as well, but still haven't had a chance to ride it. If you need any additional help, let me know
Love the reviews as always, glad you’re back, and happy you’ve had time to expand man! Congrats, you deserve it! Have actually been looking at those two wheels for a build and didn’t know this was going to answer those questions!
Nice video, thanks! I own the Tan Tien, the Coyote and the Poke. The Poke is my favorite board by far, it suits my style perfectly. It is manoeuvrable, compact and still does not cause problems on slopes with relatively high speeds. Lovin' it! Greetings from Germany! My Setup: Paris V3 150 mm and orange 4Presidents.
Hey, I'd be grateful if you could help me out. I'm considering to buy Poke or Omakase, but I have the Coyote so I use it as a refference point. Would you say that Poke is more comfortable than Coyote? Can you stand wider on the Poke without standing on the nose rather than the wide part?
I’ve gone through so many boards over the last 15 years, and my absolute favorites are the Bustin Yoface35 and the Loaded Poke. I run Paris V2s on my poke and I switch my wheels between shark wheels and dicta clouds 60mm wheels but both wheels have Independent bearings those run so smooth for this board compared to Bones Reds.
@@wishdrftr it’s my go to board. Hands down my favorite street deck. I have the newer E-Core version so it’s very durable, I’ve had it for 3 years now. The deck is wide enough for my size 12 feet but also longer than a traditional street deck. It’s basically a bigger street deck and I love it. It even has wheel wells. It’s pretty light too surprisingly.
I'm looking at getting this to slap my Slide surfskate trucks on. thanks for doing the video. I originally wanted an Overland, but looks like they don't make them anymore.
Hey man I absolutely love your videos, I would love a review on the LandYachts Drop Hammer sometime in the future. (Just a recommendation, not demanding lol)
Hey man, thx for the review on one of my favorite Loaded’s. I have messed around with the setups too, and most recently tried my Sidewinders. Still can’t get those to adjust the way they should so needless to say I got thrown IMMEDIATELY. I don’t recommend them. Still need to try some CX and then have a better opinion. Overall I like them with the Paris150’s, but definitely use 70’s on it, the O’tng Durians were too big. Poké is Fun for pump track too.
I found i can use 75mm wheels with paris streets and not too mutch board height... but yeah, it isn't that worthy vs 70mm wheels, even for straight line cruising
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment Jeffrey. If you can find CX, I would highly recommend them. They're so fun in my opinion. I need to get to a pump track soon
This video comes right in time. I'm heavily thinking about picking this board up to pare it with my cx trucks. Another board. That I M concidering is the earthwing miniglider and the earthwing team 33. But those are out of. Stock right now. Could you do a review of those in the future? Great reviews here.
Awesome video!! I am thinking about getting the cx setup for carving mainly and some cruising. But just wondering if it is worthy getting the poke instead of a carver deck with similar length. The carver is wider so it might be more comfortable for carving. Any advice??
Hey man I’m a big fan of your channel!! I’m about to get my first surfskate set up, would you say the poke-carver setup is good for a beginner or should I just get a carver complete instead ??
to transform the Paris 150 (V3) into a more reactive surfskate truck, is it enough to change the bushing with the HSR ones, and add an inclined riser on the front? Thank you!
I have Loaded Poke on paris trucks and big divine wheels, and I can tell you it's great setup for travelling and exploration the city. However, lately I bought Icarus and god this board is even better for crusing. As always great review! Stay Cool!
My first ever board was a Santa Cruz pintail longboard and that baby has held up still after nearly 10 years. From someone who has ridden Santa Cruz boards for awhile now I would really like to see you review the Santa Cruz cruiser boards
I've been eyeing a few Santa Cruz cruisers because I want to do a video where I compare the top brands and share what I think are the best ones. I'll def get to Santa Cruz
I’m new to the channel, have you ever reviewed Original brand trucks? The use springs instead of normal bushings which is kind of like some of the other surfskate trucks but I am curious how you think they compare. They aren’t marketed as surfskate trucks but they are unique. (I love mine)
Hello friend, I would like to ask you a question. I am a beginner and I want to learn how to do slides and descents. Would you recommend Loaded Coyote or Loaded Poke?
Hey! Both are quite small, I think you would do better on a Loaded Tesseract (full size or cantellated) or at least the Omakase, if you want to stay on Loadeds
Sweet vid yo! Side note: you ever thought of making longer videos? I've seen some other UA-cam talk about how the algorithm doesn't like things too long or too short. And I dont think us fans would mind lol.
thanks yoooo. And I have thought about that...some of my beginning vids were longer. But I try to make them as concise as possible to not waste anyone's time. It's a struggle of knowing that longer videos would benefit the channel growth, but also knowing that I don't want to waste anyones time haha
@@concrete-waves yeah that's fair argument. I don't really know, just seems that you review just the hyped ones, but there's plenty same category boards cheaper and sometimes better.
@@mariolenta2178 That's also a fair argument haha. I would like to but it makes sense to do the more hyped ones so I can help the channel grow. But if you have any other suggestions, let me know so I can take a look at them
Definitely feels lively. Just so hard to compare to my surfskate setups since they carve so much deeper. But I love the subtle flex that the Poke offers
Eyyyy i got this Board with 180 Paris V3‘s and Some butterballs, Most fun i ever had with a board by far. It cruises like a Dream, Pumps and carves super Deep because of a pair of Angeled Riserpads paired with the 50° baseplate from the Paris trucks and with the slide wheels it bombs hills like a Mf. Even on flat ik can push past my girlfriends ebike (~27kmh) easily, and downhill the concave around the edges together with the (little bit extreme) grip tape make sure your feet are nice and cradled in. I’m stoned it’s 3:20am and I really like this board.
This is awesome info, thanks for sharing man. Do you feel like the length is too short for higher speeds or not really? Anyway...sounds like you had a chill night lol
@@concrete-waves eyyy, definitely not too short, when you really want to send it fast you have all the real estate under your feet you would ever want or need, but I think that’s also due to the concave that really cradles you in so it just doesn’t feel small( until you’re sliding, that’s when it starts to feel like snowboarding on a snowskate hahaha). I currently own several downhill boards but I know my heart lays with freeriding so if a board bombs, slides, cruises, carves, pumps and pops like the Poke it’s definitely more fun to take on a trip when you need one board that does it all. Also ordered a waterborne surfskate adapter for it recently and I’m really stoked on how that’ll be. I personally think with the right setup this board can be anything you want it to be. Peace!
