@@matty_daddy the show was without a doubt one of the best shows i’ve ever seen. so intimate, so genuinely touching. he played for over three hours, spoken word on the events of steve albini and steve bushemi getting sucker punched, played classics such as, richard ramirez, alesund, duk koo kim, admiral fell promises, he cried talking about his mother and family, and cried talking about elliott smith. he told a story of where he was playing a festival and every single person was talking, distracting and aggravating him. he would look over to the side stage and see elliott watching him, waiting patiently for him to continue. he said elliott was the only thing that got him through that show. he was sobbing the whole time telling this story, i could barely keep it together. he then played the black butterfly, one of the most beautiful moments. i got him to autograph two of my cds and was also able to purchase his phonebook photography book and also a couple signed photo prints as well. couldn’t of been more happy. no medicine bottle, but what can i say. i yelled it out and he heard me, then went on to say songs like that and carissa are hard for him to play because they’re so emotionally charged. honestly from what i could tell, he’s in a pretty emotional state right now. can only hope he’s okay
Wow, I feel that the RHP might have been compromised this evening. I'm not a judge, for certain, but the elemental rhythm, etc., seems challenged/forced, especially compared to the original.
