So what do you do with a “painted rifle” when there is no more snow? How it came out of the armory… that’s how it has to go back in…. Or the armorer’s will blow a gasket.
Never bring rifle into warm tent, water will melt, and freeze when taken out.
If you do bring into the tent, disassemble, then wipe down absolutely dry. Even most lubricants will gum up and interfere with operation if it is cold enough.
1943 and these US Soldiers are STILL better prepared and equip than the Russian "soldiers and draftees" fighting in Ukraine in 2023.... Outstanding
When boiling water: Big bubbles, no trouble
And also if possible keep your canteen close to your body. For examble tie a piece of rope to the canteen. Put it around neck and just let it hang there. It will not frozen that way and there it is easily availeble
