    Unfortunately many Koreans think of India as a dangerous country, however this perception is far from truth. If you see the travel advisory of Korean external affairs ministry then India is in blue color with Jammu and Kashmir in Yellow color. Canada, Australia and Japan are also in blue color. USA is in yellow color.
    Only those Countries are dangerous which are in red and black color.
    There is a 22 year old Indian vlogger called Garima Bakshi who runs a channel called Wandering with Paint and she has visited many red and black countries and nothing has happened to her. She is extremely safe.
    So I think it is high time that many Korean vloggers show India in a comprehensive manner and stop doing slum tourism in India. They show India like how Nick Johnson and Charlie Bo 313 show USA.

    • @webabhi
      @webabhi Рік тому +26

      I will tell you why some foreign tourists do slum tourism in India.
      1) They go to India to experience the culture of India, so if you have to experience culture you must visit Forts, Palaces, Temples, Churches, Mosques and Gurudwaras. However that requires money and the best way to experience Indian culture without spending money is to visit slums.
      2) The people in slums in India are extremely friendly. There is a saying that a dirty cottage with friendly people is much better than a clean palace with rude people.
      3) Some foreign vloggers perceive India as a poor country and suffer from conformation bias so they like to visit bad areas in India to satisfy their egos.
      Samrat from Indiworld Entertainment said a great thing that if some vlogger shows India in a bad way then there is no problem with India. The problem is with them that they haven't spent money.

    • @blue_asahi
      @blue_asahi Рік тому +3

      I don't think you understand backpackers. There are two kinds of tourists everywhere - backpackers and rich tourists. Rich tourists visit only one or two countries at a time and spend money (stay in 4/5 star hotels etc.). Backpackers have less budget and also they travel multiple countries at one go - so to save money they stay in hostels - which are mostly located in cheap areas , not only in India but in other countries also. The problem is that in India, cheap areas are very dirty, crime prone and also full of scammers. If you look at Thailand (backpackers heaven), it is comparatively cleaner and safer. Rich tourists avoid India. They mostly go to Europe, Dubai, Singapore etc. Second point, most historical monuments in India are located in slum areas like old Delhi or are surrounded by slums like in Agra. So we can't blame the backpackers. Why is the govt. not cleaning up these places? That is what you need to ask instead of blaming the backpackers.

    • @webabhi
      @webabhi Рік тому +4

      @@blue_asahi If you search for cheap hotels in London you will get hotels in 40 to 70 pounds per night in areas like Enfield, Beckenham and Tower Hamlets.
      Some people have had bad experiences even in Thailand, they searched for cheap hotels and found they were brothels. The moment they got out of their hotel, they were surrounded by gogo girls and lady boys who touched them inappropriately.
      Even I visited Walking Street in Pattaya once because it was listed among things to do in Pattaya and I was also grped by some gogo girls and transgenders.
      If they behave like that it is okay but if men behave like that with women it is wrong!!!!!
      However I had a great time in Thailand and have visited the country many times. I only didn't like Patpong and Walking Street.
